Some of the best food I have ever eaten!

A first visit but under recommendation and very good. The family group are very pro Japanese food, me less so but a good versatile menu.

Had the hoisin yakisoba. It was the best food I'd had in eight months. Strongly recommend eating here. Server was friendly and answered all the questions I had about any ingredients I didn't recognize and portion sizes .

Really great food. Like, surprisingly good. The spicy miso ramen and the Korean chicken bap were both superb. And with free meals for the kids, great value too.

Service was great! Just recommend you ask about the spice. They put it on everything and it’s very hot. It wasn’t written on the description of what I ordered and I really struggled to eat it. Lovely place though, but just be sure to ask if you can do spice. I definitely can’t🤐

First time visiting here tonight, wasn't sure what to expect and didn't really recognise much of the menu. The waiter was really informative and guided us nicely through the range of choices. I was truly amazed when the dishes arrived, wow! That was before tasting. The food here is amazing! Absolutely delicious, great portion sizes and wonderful tastes. The service was excellent. Will 100% be returning here. The chefs take pleasure in providing customers with a wonderful culinary experience and deserve recognition for this. Thanks very much. And when the bill arrived....I did expect it to be a fair bit more. I highly recommend Bao to the Broth. A wonderful evening with friends sharing super food. Very well done to the staff.

Stumbled upon this places whilst searching for somewhere good to eat for vegetarian/vegan and we were not disappointed, HUGE portions of some of the tastiest food I've had recently, all beautifully presented and the server was very attentive, will eat here again, hopefully soon. Thank you

Food arrived cold , however the food was still very tasty.

Came across this place whilst visiting Hereford and so glad we did! The food was so good, friendly staff and the portions are very generous as well, we had to have a doggy bag to go but that was our tea sorted for later haha. We both had the Kimchi rice, shared an aubergine bao bun and cauliflower wings, i love how it was decent sized cauliflower florets as in some places they can be so tiny, but not here! All very tasty. Wish you guys were near to Chepstow, we'd definitely be regulars 😂

Had an outstanding meal here last night, very filling dishes that are packed with flavour and served within 20 minutes or so of ordering. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return and recommend to others. If I could add something for them to consider - maybe add some images of the dishes on the menu so we know what sort of thing to expect as a lot of names of dishes are unfamiliar to us so we were Googling them before ordering.

Can't fault a thing, the food was beyond incredible. All four of us said we would definitely return.

B R I L L I A N T We used to eat with them when they were at De Koffee Pot by the Old Bridge. They are now in their own better setting. The open kitchen is great and the food fantastic. We walked in on a Wednesday evening and it was almost full - that's a good sign. I had the Ramin bowl with delicious crispy pork on top. My wife had their dirty fries with all sorts on top with lots of tasty Tofu. We live quite close and we will be regulars. We used to think Wagamamas was a good place to eat - Boa to the Broth is much better. Brilliant guys.

Really friendly and fun place for a simple hit of Asian food. Simple yet interesting menu. Food is very fresh and well presented, we did love the vegetarian sushi and kimchi fried rice in particular. Lively atmosphere which is particularly good for larger groups. Best bit is BttB is very doggy friendly and Poochous comes with every time and is spoilt rotten. Really like BttB and can recommend. A funky alternative to the standard Asian fare.

Been multiple times and always great food. Also really enjoyed the Sake selection they have. Would definitely recommend.

Visited 27/5 for the first time with friends. Great selection of food and drinks, was great to see some imported drinks and sake. All of the food was delicious, we all had a main, a bao bun and shared some sides too. Would highly recommend the katsu donburi and chicken bao buns! Everything was reasonably priced too with it working out to £27 a head. Only let down was the service, not sure if our waitress was new but they just didn't seem very welcoming and didn't come and ask if our food was okay. Another waitress took our plates and then asked, but obviously we were done by that point. Overall, great little restaurant in Hereford and would recommend!

Fantastic early evening visit here, well impressed by the Saki & cocktail menus. Loved the diner style easy seating options and their cool decor. We had donburi katsu, tonkatsu pork roll, and their Korean chicken bites.. speed of service was great and the food was fantastic, just the flavour profiles I love. Warming and hearty! Portion sizes were generous too! Fantastic well worth the 'out' of town walk.. Korean bbq tables next guys? 10/10

If you’re looking for a huge portions for such adorable prices, Bao to the Broth is worth the visit. The menu is packed with unique dishes - all of which are delicious. 100% my favourite spot for date night and my go-to when I visit Hereford.

Had salt and pepper squid and fries and chicken donburi .... lovely atmosphere, fantasticly set out and decorated. Food was quick to arrive and was very nice , service was excellent would definitely go again.

First visit and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Great choices on menu, service from the team was friendly and prompt. Food was lovely and tasty. Beer was great as well. We will be back!

Out of three dishes ordered only the one was any good. The Kimchi Fried Rice was very disappointing, the portion of sriracha sauce given on the dish was far too much, overpowering everything else. The K Pop Chicken bites were over done; fair one, they were crispy no argument there but it meant the chicken was really dry. The fries lacked seasoning to highlight the umami referenced in the wording. However, the Miso Spicy Ramen was spot on, so not all bad.

Food was late and there was no katsu sauce

All fridge cold apart from crispy chicken that was warm at best, broth was lukewarm so when mixed not great. Great idea but poor execution, such a shame as the flavour was really good. Would give it one more try.

We went on a Sunday recently for the first time. The Staff were so friendly and helpful. We waited 25 mins for our food which I would expect due to all being cooked fresh! We loved it so much we returned a few days later with more friends on a Wednesday. Again superb service and food to die for! Both days were busy as every table full however we never felt rushed and well attended to ..,.but the food…it was fantastic ! I am glad I don’t live in Hereford or I would be the size of a house !! Also fantastic value for money !

Attended a wok function here recently. I have to say that Tom and his team surpassed our expectations with his welcoming and professional demeanour. The food was top notch, very reasonably priced and for a Monday evening, it was great to see them so busy! Wishing them all the success they deserve.

Reserved a table pretty last minute on Thursday and the girl on the phone couldn’t be nicer, they were very busy but the atmosphere was lively and the food was well worth any wait, definitely will be back again. Also the girl with green tipped hair who served us couldn’t have been nicer, handled what looked like a very busy rush well!

Honestly, I could not recommend it more. Everything was amazing about the restaurant : the food was fresh, the atmosphere was chill, the service made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us every now and then. If you're having a hard time deciding where to have a nice meal, this is a no brainer. Will come back in the future 👍🏻

We just had the Katsu chicken curry and pork ramen- both lovely and some great sides too. Really good portion sizes. We will definitely be back and hope to have this regularly! Highly recommend

Didn’t enjoyed at all. Disgusting, when someone prepares food without beard cover!!! Ramen with pork…there wasn’t pork, it was just big piece of pork fat. Atmosphere, zero. But, ++++ cocktails nice!! Tried once that place and no more.

I visited before at the old location and ramen was very salty - happy to say today it was less salty. I had the chicken Tokyo ramen. Egg on the ramen was cold which was kind of acceptable as it was warmed by broth, but I also had the egg bao (which said it came with egg mayo) which was 2 slices of cold egg and just no good. I’ve had cured egg bao in other places and really tasty but a cold bao filling is quite unpleasant and it wasn’t as described on the menu. Bun was a bit undercooked too. Okonomayaki fries sounded cool but the toppings on chips are a bit odd - nice idea but not sure it works. I think overall I have to say the food needs refining, and maybe market research trying other places and seeing how ramen is made outside of rural england because there are some impeccable independent restaurants doing this authentically and could be learned from. Don’t think sweetcorn works on ramen. Really hope this place improves over time and manages to take flight because the location is cool, the branding is wicked and the waiting staff were grand.

We went yesterday in a party of 9 for my sons 30th birthday and we had an amazing time, we were beautifully looked after by the staff and the food was incredible 🤩 I’d heard this place was good but now I know how good we will definitely be going back! Highly recommend.

We had a deliveroo at work for our Christmas lunch. The food was amazing, especially the tonkotsu ramen. We all loved our meals. The only very minor downside...no chopsticks or any other cutlery to eat it with.

First visit with friends. Really delicious food, I had the Vegan tofu and sweet pot yakisoba and it was delicious. The service could not have been more attentive, they quickly cleared up an issue with coffees at the end of the meal. Will def return! A new favourite.

We have been keen to.get here after following the team from their days in the butter Market through to now! It did not disappoint! Amazing food, great portion sizes and wonder ful service! On real frustration is finding the time to revisit as the menu is much bihger now! Ha.

The food and service were overall very good. All items we ordered I would order again, especially the dessert. The wings were disappointing as I'd expect sauced wings to have some sort of batter to hold the sauce better. I'd also recommend reducing the salt amounts a bit, and I like salt - I never find food too salty from elsewhere. However the benches are extremely uncomfortable couldn't wait to get out and had to put all of our clothes in the wash as they'd stunk of frying. I'd be embarrassed to go somewhere else after smelling like that. The kitchen needs to install better extractors or put up some barriers.

Food was good, ordered spicy ramen but sadly it wasn’t spicy at all and tasted very salty. My cocktail was lovely however it came with a plastic flower as the garnish which I found quite unhygienic as these are obviously reused. Was also very bright inside in the evening, felt very intense.

Our first visit since Boa to the Broth opened their own place. Wonderful! Service was friendly and attentive. Food was hot, delicious and speedy (1 hour free parking just up the road 😉). Priced well, very filling. Another great food joint in Hereford! We look forward to visiting again, thanks!

Booked a table and when we arrived we were told they needed the table back within a hour. Bao buns were very dry, more like a stale bread roll. Cauliflower wings were greasy, overcooked and flavourless! Ramen was lukewarm and the service was very rushed but the food took ages to arrived. Unfortunately won’t be returning and was over priced!

This is a great addition just had a fantastic meal here. Really good food lovely service.

My self and my best friend with our kids visited today and was a wonderful experience, very clean and easy comunicação with the waitress called Ellie she was above expectations, the food was so tasty and well presentable dishes also nice atmosphere well recommend.

We visited at lunch time today. The service was good, two helpful ladies served us. I usually love seaweed but found the seaweed in Pork Yakisoba too salty and had to leave it. Other dishes were great and generous portions. The menu only states ‘GF’s, it would’ve been nice if there were ‘Veg’ and ‘Vegan’ signs too, as one of our diners was a vegetarian. Another table had a dog with them, so they welcome well behaved dogs.

I was so excited to return to Bao to the Broth after being a customer in both the butter market and koffie pot. The new restaurant looks amazing inside and we still enjoyed the food, unfortunately the staff really let this place down. I understand you’ve only been open a few days and people need time to train etc but everyone who talked and served us last night were uninterested in being there. No hello or lovely welcome, we had to ask for our food order to be taken after waiting ages, water jug bought over with no glasses, staff all stood around grouped just talking amongst themselves while we were sat waiting for our order to be taken (there were only 3 tables in at the time we went), an item was left off our order and we had to wait 10 minutes for all our dishes to be bought across from when our first dish put down. Just no enthusiasm at all from your staff, who you’d think would be buzzing to open up this amazing establishment. My only other issue was the cocktail sizes for the price were disappointing and the cherry blossom cocktail had a plastic flower inside which was off putting and didn’t seem sanitary at all. And not a problem at all but we loved when we visited before when our loaded fries were served in the dumpling baskets (really on theme) and I understand if you’ve got rid of these for ease of service or any environmental reason but the bowls you’re currently using don’t quite add the same value. A lovely blonde lady with an accent spoke to me and our little boy on the way out and offered him some sweets from your trick or treat tray and honestly if all your staff were like her we would have had a great time, I wish she had been our server. I think it goes to show that your food could be the best food in the world but if you don’t have staff who sell the brand and have great customer service you won’t leave feeling satisfied. I’m positive with more training and time for the staff to improve this place will be great.

Very disappointing, we were so excited about visiting after hearing such great things but the service was terrible, slow and unenthusiastic. Staff looked miserable and asking for food or drinks was like pulling teeth, plus the atmosphere was lacking (we felt in the way and tables were uncomfortable). Food looked pretty but wasn’t memorable and in some cases looked very underwhelming for such a high price. Such a shame!

Attended at the end of last week and cannot speak highly enough of the place. Friendly staff, nice environment, good selection of drinks and really good food. Our table of 4 ordered around 10 different dishes which we all shared and we cannot fault any of them. Freshly made Bao Buns were something else. Really recommend this place. I see another reviewer ate with you over the weekend. Shame they decided not to share their comments with you privately given you only opened last week.
