The best restaurants in England

Food is good but too much of artificial colour... Appreciate if you can avoid food colour as I believe everyone wants safe and healthy food rather than how it looks.

We have been here a few times now and the staff are always so professional and friendly, one young lad on the front (unfortunately I forgot his name) always seems upbeat and happy to be at work. The chips are great quality and excellent value for money and the food is consistently good throughout the week. Highly recommend going here and it’s so nice to actually find a decent chip shop locally again.

Bit disappointing. Food was Luke warm / cold by the time it arrived. Sweet potato fries under cooked and floppy. Chicken wrap was bad. Soft mushy and too much mayo and was just soft and greasy. Burger was quite nice though but not top notch. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Delicious food, I had Oxtail with rice and pea. Lots and lots on the menu that looked amazing. Will be back when I'm next back with work. Thanks for the lovely food and the full belly

Went in at 5 o'clock and got fish and chips. Both the fish and the chips were soggy. It was obviously what was left from the lunchtime opening. Pretty disappointing as the girl took £9.80 off me knowing it was old rubbish that had been left in the warmer.

Lovely place! Food was really good

We had an evening meal in the bar area, including venison casserole, & venison loin. I have given 4* as the other family members loved their venison casserole with creamed potato, however, I was surprised to be somewhat disappointed with my main course content. Although the loin as served was delicious, I'd opted not to have any 'side order', having thought the ordered course would be a complete meal (especially for ~£30). It turned out, an extra side order purchase was needed in order to have what I regard as a basic accompaniment, such as potato (creamed or new), so having to order a basic side on top seems a bit 'unecessary'. My treacle tart for dessert was great, though served at room temperature. A cheese (x2) course, with with excellent cheese and crackers, however the cheese portion was definitely on the small side...

Great Pide and love that it comes with a fresh salad. Service is always good too.

Nice owners, tasty food, good portions and prices

Sunday lunch with friends who haven't been before. A new venue with a revised menu, but the quality hasn't changed. A great wine menu, with a proper Spanish choice of sherries (the Manzanilla my preference!), but the home made lime, lemon and mint soft drink is a standout too ! Great service, good value, friendly, welcoming with amazing, authentic food. Best tapas ever.

Exceptional food and warm friendly staff. Today was Vijaydashani so we were treated to Payasam off the dessert menu. Could not fault this restaurant. Simply superb.

Best Burger I have had in a very long time! Everything was fresh (not frozen) which makes a huge difference to the taste quality. I'll definitely be coming back again very soon!

Took a while to get through on the phone to place an order for delivery but pleased we persisted. The website is very poor but luckily we had a flyer so knew what they offered. Told the price and how long before it would be delivered. Arrived a little early. The food was obviously freshly cooked, very adequate portions and excellent. Different fish not labelled so differentiating between the cod and haddock was guesswork. Surprised they only accept cash-could lose the business as not everyone has cash in the house. Wish them well and will be back.
