This place was uniquely suitable for me in a unique situation. I'm a cyclist, and I don't stay in hotels because I also have a perfume allergy. So I go around the country, avoiding perfume. This place astonished me. I ate a few dinners in their brasserie. And paid for their all you can eat breakfast once so far. During my frequenting, I can report SCENT FREE cleaning products! Rather than having a cheap chemical taste, the air in this place smells classy and clean. Also, they had totally no problems with me doing remote work in one of their little office rooms, and their spa let me get pre-dinner showers... a godsend for a cyclist! So unlike anywhere else. Anywhere else, would probably have moved me along for 'hanging around' because I'm not 'renting a room.' But here I was still a fee paying customer, and they let me do what I wanted within the building. Its a classy place, full of good upper middle class, and even some upper class people. Thoroughly pleasant, and so long as you're a respectable and friendly type, you'll fit in a treat here.

Wonderful place. We purchased the twilight deal arrived early for a walk through the beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the spa which was quiet and relaxing. Very clean and well kept. Enjoyed a smoothie by the pool before getting ready for dinner in the brasserie. The staff were excellent with particular thanks to the spa team. Will be back ⭐️

My husband and I stayed for two days in June on a Dinner bed and breakfast deal dinner being on the first night only. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and is very peaceful, the bottle of wine in the room was a lovely touch. My only criticism of the time we stayed would be that at dinner we were not in the restaurant but in the brasserie The food was very good as was the service, but as we were travelling as a couple without a dog we found the dining experience disappointing as we were eating our meal with other diners that had dogs and small children which spoilt what was meant to be a romantic meal. We did try to book into the restaurant on our second day a Sunday but were told it was closed, we both found this very strange as it was fathers day. It spoilt the experience for us. The management may want to rethink their policy on couples without dogs being able to eat in the restaurant as not being able to enjoy the atmosphere put a dampaner on the meal and what would have otherwise been a lovely romantic stay.

In simple terms. Not the place it used to be. Standards have dropped. A poor experience in the Brasserie this time. Previously a poor experience for the taster menu. We done with the place now.

We had 2 nights here, The location was amazing we loved it. The rooms was okay but Tv didn’t work correctly and the room service wasn’t great. My partner ordered a drink to the room and waited over 2 hours. I had to go and remind them about the order and then eventually we got the drink we was waiting for. The food in the restaurant was average I wouldn’t say it’s worth the money that’s for sure. The service was okay when we first arrived but after ordering they didn’t clear the plates or ask if you wanted another drink. We got our food and we asked for forks and knives as they hadn’t been placed on the table before had but then we had to wait 5 minutes before we actually got them which wasn’t great. Not usually one to write bad reviews but just wasn’t great for the amount of money it was.

The Devonshire Arms, where to start. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. We had booked the “twilight spa experience” as the venue is only a 40 minute drive from home it looked like the perfect Friday evening treat. It was £50pp, which when you learn what that covers is incredible value for money. We got welcomed and served throughout our spa experience by a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more helpful, her etiquette was sublime. The spa was very well kept in a beautiful barn conversion. After an incredible 3 hour spa experience, we then sat down for an included two course dinner. It was a set menu, yet the options were fantastic, I had the fish and chips and my partner the ravioli; all of the food was phenomenal. The entire property is beautiful and we shall definitely be returning for a full stay!

The Devonshire Arms...... An absolutely beautiful hotel, with breathtaking views from our suite. My husband is in a wheelchair, the staff were most helpful. We loved it so much that we ended up staying 3 nights instead of two.

Friendly service, lovely location and a great afternoon tea in the Burlington restaurant. Did a great job of catering for a lactose intolerant member of the party. Lovely buttermilk scones, a very nice carrot cake and a delicious chocolate slice. Great choice of hot drinks, I had Lapsang Souchong. Chorizo quiche and Saffron arancino were different than normal savoury options.

The coffee is good coffee, I come regularly. I have just had a few too many burnt pastries and I really do not agree with them refusing to let you have syrup in a flat white and also when you get to the point you have a free drinks voucher being told you have to pay for the extra shot in your coffee when thats your daily order. - So its not a free drink. The coffee is good though!

Exchange coffee is my go to place if one is near where I am. Great range of coffees and not thinking a black coffee is an Americano. Drank in then bought coffee to take home
