Great place and lovely food but very slow service

I am extremely disappointed with the treatment I received from Zaza while trying to book a birthday dinner for my 10-year-old daughter and her friends. Despite the restaurant offering a children’s menu, they outright refused my booking, claiming they could not “manage” 13 children and that they would create a nuisance. I even requested a private party room and assured them that responsible adults would be present to supervise, but the manager Alin was shockingly rude and dismissive. Instead of offering a reasonable solution, they made it clear that they did not want to accommodate us at all. This kind of attitude towards families is unacceptable. If you are looking for a restaurant that welcomes children and treats customers with basic respect, I would suggest looking elsewhere. It’s disappointing to note that in a family oriented area this is the attitude a restaurant takes.

Family friendly spotlessly clean

Avoid! I hadn’t eaten in Zaza for a couple of years as I no longer live in the area. I wish I’d stayed away. Both pastas tasted weird (different pasta choices) something wasn’t right and both of us are now very sick!! They tasted More like cheap microwaved ingredients than fresh oven baked. Service was awful, we were handed menus before we’d had a chance to take our coats off and sit, and then we were ignored having to ask for service. A previously nice restaurant has gone terribly downhill. I think food standards needs to pay them a visit

Beautiful evening celebrating a special occasion, food was well presented and exceptionally tasty from the starters straight through to the dessert. We enjoyed it all, even our cheeky cocktails! The service was great from all staff. Our waitress, Ioana took great care of us and made the evening extra special by presenting a slice of tiramisu cake with a candle and ‘Happy Birthday’ written in chocolate sauce on a plate for the birthday lady. It was lovely and a real sweet touch. The restaurant decor was 10/10 and atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back again and recommend it to our friends and family.

One of the best Italian restaurant in London, all the best with reasonable price too. Spaghetti Pacsatore is great, the lamb ragu fettuccine is fantastic which not many restaurant do and many more!

We experienced the same consistent high quality fare that we've come to expect at Zazza. The service by Luke was exceptional: he was diligent and attentive to our smallest needs while we dined. Excellent service overall!

Great decor and cosy atmosphere, sadly Appalling service, staff disengaged on their break in the customer area, watching movies whilst we were trying to get someone’s attention. No music in the restaurant, you could hear everyone’s conversation. We Were not offered any water, had to go to the bar and ask for the bill as there was nobody checking where we were sitting. Starters tasty, one of the main was great other average and dry, deserts were no no- amaretto tiramisu especially - an offence to traditional Italian dessert. It wasn’t our first visit there (previous one were great) so we were surprise why things weren’t to their usual standards. Visited Monday 09/12 around 5pm

Totally over priced now. Average to ok food but 2 people midweek meal have a 3 course set meal including 2 coke zeros each, and no alcohol e £105. Total rip off after years of using zazas will no longer be returning.

Lovely food, but felt very rushed to eat . we had barely finished our food and was asked did we want a dessert and coffee. We were then told they needed the table in 10mins . I do understand a busy time of the year but we should have been informed at time of booking we only have A 90 minute slot

My only grumble is that on the set Christmas menu most of the desirable choices for mains carry a £5 extra charge plus 12.5 % service so this should not be advertised at £35 per head

Had a lovely evening there with a friend yesterday. Staff were very helpful with advising me what dishes could be made for a vegan and when it arrived, the food was delicious. The restaurant was very busy for a Monday evening and that speaks volumes.

2 people, 2 different meals, both upset stomachs

Went for my brothers birthday, had an amazing time, staff are incredibly friendly.

The only way to describe this particular branch is disgraceful, disgusting and disappointed! Starting off the evening, by about 3 different waiters ignoring us at the door. We were ten mins late due to traffic and staff already notified us of returning the table by 8:45. Once seated we are reminded of the table needing to be back which is fine. 3 people within 5 mins apart came to take our order even though we ordered. 30 mins into eating our starters we were told our mains were ready and if they should be bought out, we hadn’t even made a dent into our starters. Mains come, the food was very average and bland. We then had staff hovering around our table as if to rush us. We still had plenty of time. Once mains had cleared the staff had the audacity to ask if we wanted dessert knowing that we had to be out in 15 mins. We quickly got the bill and left. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or rushed before. It is safe to say I will only be going to the ZAZA in Pinner and ensure others know about my awful experience in the Ruislip branch. Absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the team.

I like pasta, so that’s just a dead cert, meatballs were just great. Pity they add 12.5% service charge automatically, it would be nicer to appreciate the staff personally.

Oh my gosh, I usually have lots to moan about when having a meal at a restaurant. Not this one however.

Sat upstairs, very quiet as it was late. Good service, decently priced.

Visited with my friend 2 weeks ago for lunch, great selection of food on the menu and what we ordered tasted great. Staff were welcoming and helpful and we will definitely be visiting again very soon!

Please read end comment... Beautiful setting. Nice characterful decoration. An historic building. If the weather is there, eat outside! The food was good and the staff polite. nb: screecher. They use high frequency devices to keep wld life from their outdoor area. Some people can hear this frequency and find it uncomfortable and head ache inducing. My companion was one of these people. We told the staff and they were happy to turn them off while we were there.

We visited this place in May 2024 and the staff managed to find us a table even though restaurant was booked which was lovely. Great food, service and free parking nearby. Thank you to all at ZaZa Ruislip.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch at Zaza in Ruislip the other Monday. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and plentiful. We will definitely be back and would recommend Zaza to anyone who enjoys Italian food.

What a beautiful little restaurant. Me and my friend we decided to get some Italian food, so we chose this place. Inside nice, clean , cozy decor. Staff were friendly and polite. Food was hot delicious (nice portions) .my friend enjoyed her carbonara and I had seafood pasta. Place bit busy so would recomend call and book in advance.

Had another wonderful dining experience at Zaza! I started with the Mezzaluna Croccante, which was beautifully prepared and just as delightful as always—highly recommend trying it. For my main course, I ordered the steak with French mustard on the side. Although the steak was a bit colder than expected this time, it was still flavorful. The ambience and service were excellent, making it a lovely visit overall. Will definitely return for more and continue to recommend Zaza to all Italian cuisine lovers! Great experience! Lovely staff and amazing vibes within the restaurant and garden. Food is good and genuine and tastes really good! Bruschetta was fresh and tasty and the risotto was just right and the filled pasta was the show stopper! Tiramisu was good but slightly more firmer and a stronger taste would hit the best spot ( that's me personally though) We shall get back to try the pizzas now!

All good, but there are a lot of 'good' places... not yet outstanding, but a new venue, so that may come.

The location has changed recently on the opposite side of the street on a newly refurbished old building, but service and quality are as good as always. Prices like everything else are up, but when food is great and service is fantastic, then you can justify the cost.

Always amazing food, service, atmosphere and overall experience! The new Zaza in Ruislip is very cosy. Absolutely stunning interior and I can imagine it will be even more special in the summer. Such a lovely location for it with a beautiful courtyard and a view to the pond. Garden room is absolutely stunning with the beautifully lit huge olive 🫒 tree creating a magical atmosphere. I loved the attention to detail of each room and each corner of the restaurant. All staff are super welcoming and very attentive. The food was delicious as always. Wonderful place to dine in Ruislip!

We had the use of their private dining room upstairs for my nephews birthday. What a delight the staff were fantastic Especially Luke who definitely deserves a special mention as he made the experience memorable, anything we needed he got swiftly and politely. Was there attentively just in case we needed anything. Luke A+++ I cannot recommend this place any highly.

Had a lovely birthday lunch with my family. The fun birthday cake and "Happy Birthday " sung by the waiting staff (must have seen me opening cards) was a bonus. Place was packed which says a lot. Would go again.

Food is not authentic italian is very commercial not classic , decent but not worth the price, tiramisu and panna cotta wrong .risotto should be rice with vegetables in the menu as not proper done. Service great and staff very nice, atmosphere boring music in the background could be better Not bad but too expensive for what is offered.

Very nice and cozy place. We went out for a family lunch with a toddler. The food was delicious from the kids pizza to the pastas for adults. The deserts were top notch and big portions 😊 staff was courteous and speedy service. Will come back

The food continues to be good here, very good tuna and king prawn mains. What needs improving is the wine list. We ordered 2 whites , a Pecorino and a Verdejo which were in the upper £20s price range. Both were mediocre, I have had much better examples of these wines and these are easily obtainable and they need to source these. They used to do a good Trebbiano at the bottom end of the wine price range, but this is no longer on offer. Please remedy this as the food needs better wines.

Visiting for the first time and at what sounds like the new premises at the end of the High Street. Great food - good sized portions and good quality. The Lamb Ragu Fettuccine was excellent. Would really recommend 👏👏👏

Out of interest…. If you went to a said newly opened restaurant and had a beautiful set menu for £14.90 (yes I know Monday to Friday-but surely something can be negotiated) Then enquired re a room upstairs for a family gathering at some point for a Sunday but it’s changed to £45 per adult head for a basic room by the toilets for basically the same menu. (Oh sorry this would include a glass of Prosecco-most adults who don’t drink alcohol) Being informed that they would treat children 10 years old as adults so another £45 per child. Enquired if we could just book a regular spot for 20 people in the downstairs restaurant but told that this would not be allowed…. Devastated 8 year old who so wanted her communion lunch here with just her family

The place is beautiful, very light and with a wonderful style. The staff was very welcoming and the service was good. Food was great. I love the mushroom pate, calamari and crab and prawn linguine. Everything was very tasty and dishes were bug enough. The creme brulee was superb. It was very busy and Its needed to make a booking in advanced. I really recommend the restaurant and the area as it has a park nearby.

A lovely cosy restaurant with a warming atmosphere. Came here on a Tuesday for the Classic Italy menu and it was definitely worth the price especially as you can take the bottle of wine home and the antipasto board was massive. They also accommodated my request for a table we could put a pram next to. Parking can be a bit tricky as there isn't any directly outside or any car park.

I LOVE this restaurant!! I have been to Zaza many times over the years and the quality of food, service and atmosphere has always been amazing. I usually order the Crab and Prawn Linguine and Calamari for starters and it's all cooked and presented very well. The portions are perfect, the atmosphere is cosy and it has very aesthetically pleasing decor. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Always a winner at Zaza. For a ‘chain’ of restaurants they really do exceed expectation. Obviously the food is lovely and the menu has something for every one, however the staff make the place. It was my daughter’s birthday and they made the occasion very special, also accommodating my 91 year old mother. I was only so sad to hear that they have no Xmas staff party this year; a sorry mistake by the management in my opinion 😏

I feel like they weren’t as accommodating if you come with young children. The waitress appears quite grumpy. I ordered the salad which severely lacked seasoning. My partners food was very good though. I’d return for the food, but the service needs to improve imo.
