Wow -what an an amazing afternoon we had on Sunday - the staff was amazing the food was ‘the best roast we have ever had’ and that was for all 8 of us with that undivided opinion - the landlord was especially brilliant and we have some great banter with him - he clearly prides himself on the quality of the food he provides to his customers- if you are in the area give it a go - you won’t be disappointed- but make sure you book

Cannot thank Simon and his team enough for an 80th birthday party. It was really well organized and the food was brilliant.

Came here for Sunday lunch and had the most amazing roast. Gorgeously soft thick cuts of pork, crispy Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, tasty vegetables and lashings of gravy and apple sauce. Really delicious and the waitress was so helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. All for a bargain price of £16.50.

The food was excellent and good value. Very well presented and a quiet homely environment. Good service and friendly staff.

Lovely pub. Food was great except a couple of desserts. One was a sponge which was a little hard, the other a chocolate dessert which was very difficult to cut pastry wise. A shame as rest of the meals were delicious!

We had dinner last night as a family, and it was a great experience. I rang beforehand to discuss some dietary requirements for one member of our party. I was given several options. When we arrived the chef came out to talk to us personally, this was a really nice touch. We felt confident in choosing food, it was delicious and extremely generous portions. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful.

Lovley pub with friendly staff. Food was delicious. Had a Brie and cranberry wrap, hubby had scampi and chips. Big portions so we couldn’t manage a dessert. Great atmosphere will definitely be back.

Went for lunch at this gem of a place. The hosts couldn't have been any more accommodating. One of our party is disabled and in a wheelchair and we were assisted into the entrance by the landlord without hesitation. He moved the table around so that it was easy to sit comfortably. The drinks order was taken swiftly and delivered the same. There was no rush to order (even though it was busy) and the food was delicious - all freshly cooked with the freshest ingredients. Can highly recommend The White Horse and will definitely be back!

Traditional pub, small but cosy with that smell from the fire is comforting. Great atmosphere. We were able to book for a table of 9 on the same day in Easter holidays. I had the salmon with crushed boiled potatoes, it was just perfect. I would definitely eat that again. It wasn't heavy on the stomach either but it filled me up. Unfortunately I was unable to have a pudding but they sounded delicious. My other half had the lamb, when it came out it looked stunning. They even made the jus specially for him without the onion, nothing was too much trouble. He said he was very glad to have come out to dinner, he is a big fan of lamb. One of our party, who is South African and loves a Braii, said his steak was perfect, he was very pleased with his meal. The lady serving us was great, never seemed too busy and was on hand if we needed anything. I wish I had a longer holiday so I could come back!

Great food, attentive waitress. Sunday lunch prices: chicken supreme £17, roast beef £17.50. Maybe slightly expensive, although they tasted amazing.

Very much enjoyed our visit on Saturday lunchtime. Proper traditional old pub, nothing fancy but clean, bright and well presented. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, not too many customers today. The staff were speedy and professional while still interacting amicably with customers, many clearly locals. The food was plentiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. A number of posters advertising upcoming events were on display. A great pub - we'll be back quite soon!

Absolutely delicious food. Popped in for lunch and didn't regret it one bit. Great menu selection, fresh produce and whilst traditional pub food, what makes it so good is that it's homemade with a contemporary twist. First class; good portions, top quality, with a very friendly and welcoming licensee and staff. Definitely going back for more, along with our Sunday lunch!

Found this place by chance and what a find, the food, staff and service was first class, definitely going to visit again.

We had an amazing lunch here. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very friendly. We opted for the Club Sandwich which was massive! The ingredients were all fresh and it tasted great. All washed down with a few pints of Ghost Ship while sitting in the nice beer garden. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

This is a great pub with very good food in good portions! The owners are very welcoming and also very efficient. We came as a group of 7 walkers and they looked after us very well!! Highly recommended as is the flexible menu with lots of choices!

Arrived by boat. Been here many times previously. A wonderful, friendly welcome awaited us. Great beer, wine and top notch main courses, Tuscan chicken and orange glazed tuna. Great atmosphere. We'll be back very soon!

We were staying locally for a summer break and visiting family. We found the pub restaurant recommended in are welcome pack. Lovely pub caked in on the spur of the moment for dinner the staff were lovely so helpful polite and professional. The food was excellent good size and great quality. Tasted great good price great service nice ambiance. Would definitely recommend to families or just groups of friends or even couples lovely night out great price excellent food

We were welcomed as we arrived and taken to our table. Service was good and staff friendly. My husbands meal was lovely and from overheard comments from other tables, theirs was too. However, my gluten free fish was not. The chips were great but the fish batter was solid and the dark skin had been left on the fish. Disappointing really.

Food was OK -lot of wheat -water was awful scaly and tasted awful and some staff had bad attitude if asked for tea or coffee after dinner !

Best Roast in Norfolk. We're out every Sunday for a roast and I think this is right up there! Every time. Food, service, and beers are spot on. Highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere to go. We took the dogs too this weekend, very accommodating for all. Thanks everyone and see you soon

We got a friendly welcome from the barman and server upon arrival and were quickly shown to our table. The menu has some nice choices and one special…bangers and mash. So I had to have that. It arrived in short order, the gravy was flavoursome and the sausages nicely cooked. But best of all chef cooked the veg a dente and they were perfect. For £10, this was super value, tasty food with great service.

Called by on a Monday evening, and we were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. The White Horse had a varied menu of vegetarian, fish as well as traditional meat meals.

As usual a great place for friends to meet and have lunch together. Five of us this time, will be booking again

Moved into Chedgrave/Loddon in the summer and whilst discovering the area pubs and restaurants came across The White Horse. This was our 2nd visit and designed to experience thier Burger night offer. As before, great service and an authentic local pub. Starters of tomato soup and a roll (not from a tin) followed by the burger - one normal and one GF bun version. Then to finish some GF apple crumble and custard. Food was great and tasty with both of us feeling stuffed (yes, good sized portions)) Overall, highly recommended and already planning for the next steak night. Try it, you won’t regret.

Went to, a friends belated 80th. The sun shone so everyone could use the inside room and outside area at will. We managed to park in the car park but there is street parking nearby too. The buffet was really good. Chips, skins, scampi, garlic mushrooms, Quiche etc,. All freshly prepared and hot - often topped up with fresh supplies. Followed by individual trifles. Lovely. The staff and host are lovely Had a really, really lovely afternoon

We visited today 16th April, the baguettes were lush and well priced (£8.50). Staff were friendly and attentive but not ott. All in all I'd highly recommend this pub

Amazing food home cooked fresh food. Chief whipped up 3 off menu kids meals for 3 fussy kids. Kate and her team were super helpful and swan like dealing with a full pub on a Monday evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Can not rate them highly enough. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of the world.

We booked The White Horse for my Mothers Ninetieth Birthday Lunch. We asked to pre - book our food and Simon was kind enough to produce two menus for us to choose from. On the day we were lucky enough to have the whole restaurant to ourselves ( a blessing with five children under eight ) the meal was excellent , the staff very pleasant and helpful . We will be back thank you.

Lovely staff (yes, ALL of them!) service with plenty of smiles even though was a tad hectic here and there. I've never had the food we ate in a pub before so the quality was exceptional, well presented, tasty and good portion size. We came here last year for a spot of lunch and loved their cheesy bacon topped chips 😋😋 so was really glad when we were invited to a 60th birthday here at the weekend. I love this pub as it always has a nice atmosphere and the food is very good value for money and exceptionally good food. I'm dairy intolerant but they had a good selection of foods and deserts that I could have. I chose mango sorbet for dessert and it was absolutely delicious. The white horse is a pub well worth visiting. The only thing I was surprised about is that nobody was wearing face masks and that did make me feel a little bit vulnerable but then again it's the first time I've eaten out for over a year so just didn't realise how far things had moved on from covid

Brilliant lunch on 10.11.21. Lovely welcome, especially to the dog! Huge portions and totally delicious. So good that we returned the next day for dinner. Welcomed like old friends and another wonderful meal with smashing service. Thank you.

Went to a comedy night, a really great laugh

Had a few takeaway roasts during lockdown and they were amazing . Good portion size at a reasonable price and still warm when we got home ( 20 minute drive)

This is an excellent pub. We remembered visiting it 10 or 11 years ago and with very good memories of the place we went back for Sunday lunch as we were in the area. Still as good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Service was super quick, food and beer both excellent. Try the homemade Bakewell tart and custard. Lots of room out in the garden and there is also some covered outdoor seating.

Beautiful food served here. Lovely, friendly staff who are very helpful and place is dog and child friendly. I have been here a few times now and never had a bad experience. If you are on the broads you can Moor up at Loddon and it's a short walk to the pub.
