The best restaurants in Yorkshire and The Humber

So convenient to be able to order and pick up on time. Lovely fresh fish and small portion of chips, perfect size.

Far and away the best outlet in the Orchard Square food hall. Good Thai food with helpful and friendly staff. Penang with jasmine rice was my weapon on choice, but other folk had various noodle and curry dishes that looked and smelled equally tasty.

La primera vez que cenamos en The Legacy y disfrutamos mucho de la comida, la ubicación y el ambiente del restaurante. Hemos tenido la suerte de comer en bastantes restaurantes de estrellas Michelin y The Legacy no decepcionó. El menú degustador fue fantástico y siempre es encantador cuando uno de los chefs viene a su mesa para explicar el plato y todas las complejidades de crear los deliciosos platos para que otros disfruten. No hubo un plato que no disfrutaramos. También tuvimos el queso al final de la comida junto con un poco de panal de los restaurantes colmenas que estaba delicioso. Todo el personal del Restaurante era maravilloso, su conocimiento de los platos que se sirven hacen que toda la comida sea más agradable. Uno de los empleados del restaurante tenía un amor por el champán como nosotros y disfrutamos de una charla sobre nuestros favoritos. El Sommelier fue excelente ayudando a mi marido a elegir otro vino del desierto ya que el que quería no estaba disponible. En general, una noche maravillosa con buena comida y servicio. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y si volvemos a York sin duda volveremos a The Legacy.

We enjoyed a lovely family meal at the restaurant while visiting the town. The gentleman serving was so friendly and helpful. Food was gorgeous, Panang curry and Pad Thai well received. Thank you :)

We didn’t end up eating here but the staff (old gentlemen) was incredibly rude for no reason. Avoid!

Can’t say enough about this wonderfully cosy restaurant. The staff were welcoming and the food and service was excellent. Don’t miss this gem if you love dining at its best. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon

Calling this a coffee shop does not do it justice! I have just had an excellent spaghetti carbonara, and my wife an even better king prawn linguini, both freshly made from “real ingredients” a coke and a coffee for under 20 quid. The place is pleasant but basic, and spotlessly clean, the menu is simple (that’s a good thing), the food well executed, and the bill tiny. Open all day, and until 10.00 pm Friday and Saturday it well worth a visit. It’s fully licenced too!

I ordered 3 portions of goat meat, 3 portions of plantain and 1 portion of 10 puff puff. the restaurant delivered just 1 portion of the goat meat with the rest of the order.i called to know what happened and the said to order something little and they add the remaining 2 portions of goat meat plus and extra plat as compensation, I then ordered fries, but they delivered the remaining 2 portions of goat meat and the fries, the extra portion was not included! the goat meat was 70%bones ! TERRIBLE!

Amazing place, been going here for years and it's fantastic. The owner is lovely and prices are very affordable but products still have great quality!

I live in Bradford and was over this end of an operation at the Yorkshire clinic...took a wonder here and it was bloody yummy. Staff were very friendly. I'd say we would come again but would be a bit of a treck. Thanks ladies
