Really happy as a vegan to see such a great option in York. Honestly so good. Had the cashew cream quiche (comes with with two salads) and a side of sweet potato wedges which in honesty was probably unnecessary because it was only a lunch. The quiche and salad were both filling and unspeakably delicious. The pastry was great but the quiche filling itself was like... melt in the mouth but so well flavoured and hearty. I would have ordered and eaten it again immediately. The salad is also really well flavoured, seems like basically any vegetable they touch turns to gold. Good sharp fresh flavours. Honestly I could not recommend this more highly, will definitely be coming back. Didn't take photos because I wolfed it, unfortunately. But it was also nicely presented. They also gave a lot of dessert options but I only came for lunch. Will report back...

We went for a meal before going to a comedy show at the York Barbican so expected the restaurant to be busy, it wasn't when we arrived but we was so glad we booked as it became very busy very quickly. The service did not falter though and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant

Everything youâd expect from an Everyman. Good service, comfy seats nice atmosphere. Ate in the restaurant beforehand and the vegan burger fries was very good. The â1216â burger was absolutely excellent and would highly recommend. Prices are reasonable, around ÂŁ20 per person for a burger fries and soft drink.

Great restaurant with lots farm to table elements. Overall a very good experience with good food and professional service. Some farm to table concepts used throughout the course and particularly for the appetiser. Appreciate the effort but I think the home made ham is not particularly good if I am honest, taste like a Tesco ham, I understand it is not easy to cured own ham, but, if you are confident enough to serve it, I will expect more. The leek purĂ©e that serve with potato is a bit over seasoned for me as well. It is acceptable when eating with the potato but if you have a small sip of the purĂ©e on its own, you better prepare to drink extra glass of water. I think overall the main dish surprise me more as I found the scallops really a show stopper! A really huge one and it tasted good as well. Wine paring is also great as well as it is on a special offer. Itâs a good experience and would worth a visit if you are in York.

I was a little worried before we came here that like most dessert places there would only be a couple of vegan options, but they ended up having an entire menu! So many of their food and drinks can be made vegan and the staff were very knowledgable on what I could and couldnt have. I ended up going for a pistachio hot chocolate (which was out of this world) and a build your own pancake with peanut butter and butterscotch sauce. The pancakes were so light and presented so beautifully. The server we had was also so so lovely and made the experience even better!

Believe the hype! Delicious Nepalese food. We loved every single morsel. We had the Lamb Thali, Salmon Thali, Himalayan Lamb, garlic naan, dumpling soup. And dessert, the Carrot Halwa. All exactly the right balance of spices and flavour. All the ingredients were super fresh. We will DEFINITELY come back. Oh and the service was friendly and the prices very reasonable. Less than ÂŁ100 for 4 very full and satisfied adults :-)

We arrived late in York and this was one of the few places with availability. Starting with the positives: the place had a buzzing ambience and the sharing cold mezze (selection of dips was tasty), however, we experienced the most bizarre service from our waiter who just kept answering 'no' to everything we asked for. This was meant to be funny but it was literally at every single thing we said all night, it was just quite odd behaviour.... Food also arrived at odd times with one person at our table without their food until we pointed it out. The explanation was that we hadn't said we wanted his dish at the same time (how about the fact we weren't asked?) and that there wasn't enough room on the table (there was), then one of the dishes was also missed off the order, and when it arrived the portion was miniscule for the pricing and also not as described on the menu. When this was mentioned to staff we got a very odd explanation about the prices being set 10 years ago... All in all quite a strange evening. Gave us a good laugh because of how weird it was, but not somewhere any of us will be rushing back to!

Its a gem in the center of York near the most tourist attractions. The staff and the owner Resit is are extremely friendly and professional. The beyti kebab was a treat made me feel like i was in a restaurant in Turkiye . It was served with homemade chili sauce , fresh salad and pide bread it was absolutely delicious and very well presented . The restaurants is very clean and had a great atmosphere. Donât forget to try baklava and Turkish tea after your main course.
