No 84 in York

Ambiente encantador y muy buen sándwich. Muy razonable precio también. Personal muy amable. Vi gente literalmente haciendo cola alrededor de la manzana. Ven aquí por un bocadillo para llevar o coge una de las pocas mesas si puedes.

El mejor rollo de salchicha y tocino que he probado en York. Tan sabroso y fresco. Un poco fuera de los caminos trillados, pero vale la pena buscarlo. Las chicas son encantadoras y la comida excelente.

Usamos 84 regularmente y siempre es brillante. Los bocadillos del desayuno son tan sabrosos (los marrones de hachís son perfectos) y excelente relación calidad-precio. El personal es muy amable, las opciones a la hora del almuerzo son brillantes y las cosas frescas en el gabinete (pasteles de cerdo, huevos escoceses, panecillos cortos multimillonarios, etc) es de primera categoría. Llevamos unos años recibiendo comida de aquí y nunca nos han decepcionado. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

What a great little place, we were staying in an apartment just around the corner from this restaurant and gave it a try for breakfast we liked it so much we came back again the next morning, the food was excellent, the ingredients were great quality especially the bacon, the staff were friendly and helpful and as I told them they don't charge enough for the quality offered

Don’t be conned by the hot roast pork sandwiches they offer on Thursdays. They make tiny amounts, you won’t get one. It’s a scam to get more customers through the doors. Greedy, and anyway it’s just plain wrong to continually advertise something you never have. Pity to give up on them, as I used to like this place, but in the end I got fed up with being taken for a fool.

My sister and I each had all day breakfast and was absolutely thrilled. Plenty of food, full English and piping hot. Very reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had enough food to share with my dog who was very impressed. Also coffee and tea lovely. Within walking distance of railway station and dog friendly. What's not to like.

Great quality food and very helpful and friendly staff made this the perfect start to a busy day. Everything cooked to our tastes and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

We order our business buffet lunches from No 84 Deli on an, almost, weekly basis and the food is fantastic, sandwiches are really lovely, freshly made and the tray bakes are gorgeous. No 84 Deli deliver at lunchtime to our office and have bent over backwards to accommodate us last minute (when I forgot to order) and also provide for early collection once for one of our staff to take the food to site. Fantastic business that make my office life very easy indeed! Thank you guys

Amazing! Great value and the bacon and sausage sandwiches are fab! Lots of food for your money and a lovely hot chocolate. Fast and friendly service and can see why the locals go here. We came back the next day for breakfast too ^_^

We stumbled across this lovelylittle cafe/sandwich bar on our way from the railway station to our hotel. Very friendly staff, great food and drink and value for money too. So glad we found it :)

Ordered several breakfasts for the Friday treat. All very hot which was great but the grease in the box was gross!!! The egg was hard, use margarine on the toast which tasted off. The black pudding was nice. Not for us again I’m afraid.

Found this gem on the last day before returning back to our hometown. Genuinely, the best breakfast you could have. The portions are LARGE and incredibly cheap compared to other cafes and markets. I really liked the cheese omelet and BLT; their buns are absolutely massive and packed with goodness. Highly recommended, do visit if you want to start your day with a tasty and cheap breakfast.

Even though I work on the other side of York, Sandwich Bar No. 84 is a great reason to go for a walk over to Micklegate at lunchtime. Food is freshly prepared, by friendly and efficient team. Especially enjoy an American tuna salad on a large white roll, with a fruit flapjack to follow.

Great little place for breakfast. Excellent value, fresh food, a lovely cuppa and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.

This is a very decent place to grab a drink, at this time of year it’s one of the few cafes to open at 8am. Pleasant staff and atmosphere, not the best coffee but not bad at all. Well worth calling in.

Cannot fault this place for it's full English breakfast and the Americano coffee. Friendly staff too and usually some good local reading material to hand.

We came across this little cafe when staying at the Lawrence. We went for breakfast. We had bacon, mushroom and sausage sandwich, bacon and egg sandwich, tea and latte. All just over £10. Sandwiches were briming and the bun was soft and fresh. We enjoyed it so much we ordered sandwiches to pick up just before we went for the train. They were delicious too. Staff very friendly.. keep up the good work!

I try to visit no. 84 for my lunch and sometimes for breakfast too! The sandwiches are always generously filled by friendly helpful staff who are only too happy to help. They usually have one or two specials on offer and are happy to mix and match whatever ingredients you want in your sandwich along with whatever condiments you want too. Salad comes included in the price (if you want it) or you can pick whichever salad items you want, don't like tomato? no problem, don't want onion breath? then no onions it is made fresh so you can have what you want.The bread is nice and clearly comes from a proper bakery not some national chain of plastic bag bought baps. The breakfast sandwiches are awesome the 'Monster' is one of my favourites and is as it's name suggests enormous. It has around seven fillings and can be a bit messy to eat but it is delicious, you have been warned. The 'extras' are great too, this is my favourite cornish pasty from anywhere, and possibly my favourite sausage roll too, The mini quiche's aren't bad either with proper pieces of ham in them, not the rubber plastic cubes of meat you would get from a supermarket quiche. Prices are comparable to any other sandwich shop and cheaper than a lot, but the quality of the ingredients is second to none. It is one of those places that the locals love going to, not fancy, but great value and great tasting, evidenced by the long queue's between 12 and 2pm every time I have visited or the local office junior taking out large carrier bags of breakfast sandwiches in the mornings. Eat in or take away, hot or cold food and drinks, freshly made proper coffee, what is not to like, the only issue, it is so nice they can run out of some fillings (sometimes even the bread, it is that popular!) so get there early to avoid disappointment and ensure a full choice for your sandwich.

Lovely staff and a range of options at very affordable prices! £3 for a large mushroom, sausage and bacon sandwich! Will be back again the next time we’re in York.

I have been here several times and I always get a warm welcome and prompt service from friendly staff. The popularity especially at lunch time says everything that you need to know. Check it out. Support independent shops.

We order breakfast sandwiches from here every week at work. Always great, always tasty and always on decent bread! Good quality. Worth visiting as good value and off the best and track out of the tourist areas.

We visited here for breakfast, we had a lovely all day breakfast for a cheap price. The staff were lovely and will definitely be returning when we can!

Without a doubt the best chocolate brownies in the world. Breakfast sandwiches are also amazing. 10/10. Would definitely recommend ❤️

Perhaps a bit rough and ready but a decent spot to visit. The coffee is Ok, I've had better and worse. The staff were friendly and efficient. So, a good place to visit, don't expect ritzy smartness.

I attended 3 day course in the Priory Centre.

An amazing and unknown place which a really lovely, nice and smiley service. The food was very good and the price was quite cheap! Will definitely come back.

In MIcklegate in York number 84 serves sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, cakes, good tea and coffee and baked spuds at very reasonable prices for a tourist hot spot like York.
