Staff are very friendly especially the lovely young lady with blonde hair who remembered us from 6 months ago when we first visited. 😊Was a really lovely touch. Service is very quick even when it's busy. Delicious food. Best thing about visiting York!

Lovely breakfast, nice clean & comfy cafe bar. Staff smiley & friendly.

This place was a real let down. The cosiness of the cafe is great but the staff removed all joy from our experience. When walking in we were abruptly told 'we're full'. But we see 2 people leaving so stay and wait for it to be cleaned. After sitting and ordering food we saw another table become available. As the seats we were in were quite low and uncomfortable we moved to the other table. On doing so we heard one of the brunette waitresses with a wrist splint say very loudly to her colleague 'for f*** sake they've changed tables'. The staff seemed like untrained, rude teenagers. It's a shame because this was the major aspect that lead to 1* and would not return.

I placed an ubereats order for the goats cheese and Spinach calzone, amongst other things. I am a lifelong vegetarian so was disgusted when I tried the calzone and saw it contained pepperoni. The store did apologise but informed me that there are no local protocols to ensure this doesn't happen to other people

Took the family out for an Indian meal whilst in York. Chose this place carefully based upon available data. Booked for 5.45, and was pleasantly surprised on arrival to find that there were a number of diners seated and eating already. A good sign of popularity. Starters were excellent. Really excellent. Mains all good, except for Balti which was silly sweet tasting. Shared usual food order for 2 ‘chaps’ between 3, and had plenty. Still £76 though. Mains priced well. Starters too. But chutneys and rice a bit high.

I recently used the Biltmore as a venue for a large formal event for 80 people. It didn't take too much effort to organise and the outcome was superb: - The upstairs venue is beautifully decorated with light, plants and other things. - The food came out hot and on time and was so tasty - such a diverse menu. - The staff were very friendly and helpful, making adjustments to out needs on the night with little fuss. Though the drinks are a little pricey, the cost of food, venue and atmosphere make up for them fully. I would strongly recommend the Biltmore for medium sized function or for a simple outing in York.

Nice place, been several times for drinks and a snack, a little shocked at the £21 bill for a glass of Malbec on our most recent visit however.

Absolutely banging, lovely clean place, friendly staff and food is 10/10
