Came in for the ‘Bella Appreciation Day’ and it was lovely. Food was good, all staff were very welcoming and very happy to come back again.

Good vegetarian and gluten-free options made this a better choice than some of the nearby restaurants. The food was good, the waiting staff were terrific, one dish was late because it had been accidentally missed but the cost was taken off the bill and didn't ruin our experience in the slightest. Had a great time, would visit again.

Visitamos la semana pasada como una familia de 3 adultos y 1 adolescente. El personal era muy agradable y amable y la comida era encantadora. Todos disfrutamos mucho de nuestras comidas. La única razón por la que solo di 4 * fue que los baños dejaron mucho que desear, no digo que estuvieran sucios, pero había papel higiénico por todo el piso y no creo que pudieran haber sido revisados durante algún tiempo, pero esto no nos detendría de nuevo. Tengo una tarjeta Blue Light Card y recibí el 25 % de toda la factura, pero solo se puede usar en el menú principal, no en el menú establecido.

Me and the wife came for tea during our weekend stay in York. We got the 2 course meal deal for £20 which was great value for money. The food was lovely and tasty, we got the starters of meatballs and garlic dough balls and mains of Spicy sausage pasta and carbonara. Both meals very nice. The staff were very friendly especially one of the young men, unfortunately didn’t get his name, but the lad with short shaven hair lol. he was very polite and friendly and great with all the people in the restaurant especially the kids and went out of his way to make everyone comfortable check all ok. Would definitely go back when visiting York again.

We visited the Bella Italia in York for lunch with our little boy. Mateo was great with our little boy and kept him entertained throughout meal. He even gave him and ice cream as we were leaving as our little one was getting tired. Thank you so much. Liv and Hannah were also very friendly. The best team 😘

Very nice friendly staff especially a guy call Matteo who looked after us and my boys really well, took care of allergies and the food priority. Highly recommended for the same guy to serve and make your meal absolutely enjoyable.

The food was really good, along with the service and atmosphere. The reason I gave 4 stars is because there was a very strong smell of mould. This really affected my experience, along with the lack of Italian staff.

We ordered a two course and a three course dinner. The starter is amazing. Both the mushroom and meatballs taste so good. The sauce of the two starter is a excellent. The pasta and the pizza are also of good quality. The vibe of the restaurant is warm and cozy with friendly staffs.

Amazing food and service, especially from Saban!

We went for Mother’s Day and we were supposed to get a free drink for mum for Mother’s Day it wasn’t mentioned so I asked and the Waitress said we have given you a soft drink of the bill she couldn’t even look us in the face the place had a very dishonest vibe to it and the manager looked very dodgy very dishonest place probably led from the manager they were all whispering about not giving the free Mother’s Day drink away like it was a game to them see how much money they could save shame we won’t be back silly really maybe that’s why there was maybe no one in there dining also seemed to have a party corner with staff eating there lunch like a holiday camp if I’m honest 😂perhaps you need to mystery shop them and find out for yourselves be warned !!!!

Great menu choices at reasonable prices. Great food, we opted for a pizza and a pasta to share, so tasty. Great service, too. Overall a great experience here, and we would definitely return.

On a recent trip to York, we went to Bella Italia for dinner and had a fantastic meal. The restaurant was immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and our server Matt was so nice, very attentive without being overbearing. He was also very witty. We enjoyed our interaction with him. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

We came on our first night of honeymoon and the staff and food were sensational. Saban who was our server was so warm and friendly you felt like you were spending g time with family not sat in a restaurant. The food was promptly prepared, we weren't rushed and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

The service was great. The waiter in this place is a great character who goes out of his way in greeting people and ensuring everyone is happy,made our night.

We went to BI yesterday for my daughters birthday and Abbie was fabulous. We were a big table but she was attentive and friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she didn't make us feel like we were too much trouble despite there being a lot of kids and a bit of birthday chaos! Thank you Abbie!

Visited as an adult, teenager and child. Saw people come in after us, who were served and got there starters before us. Starters finally arrived, no issues with taste etc of these. Starter plates were not cleared until our mains arrived some 20 minutes later. Mains were bland, not much flavour at all (carbonara). Plates were cleared faster, then took over 20 minutes for server to approach us to take desserts order. Desserts were good.

Saban looked after us all night. We were a large group, and with children. Fantastic service throughout and made the whole evening extremely good fun. Thank you

A little disappointed turned up at 16.50 was turned away no tables, my wife went online booked a table and we went back 10 mins later. When we were seated I asked to speak to the manager he was the one that turned us away his response was I do not have to justify myself to you it was the online booking system telling me we had no tables. He came across very arrogant and self defensive Not very good customer service skills the on booking system let us book a table straight away. The male waiter with the pony tail was excellent and the food was good, the manager’s customer skills atrocious.

It was my first time going to Bella Italia (have ordered takeaway before from there) and the food was amazing (got a shared started, a pizza and a cocktail). The server was very friendly and it helped make the experience very enjoyable. I went with my partner who got similar to me food wise and felt the same regarding the experience.

Food was amazing (big fan of the garlic butter), the man who seated and served us was attentive and polite, even seated us early about half an hour before our booking as we were so hungry and ready for the food

We visited on a Sunday night so a little quiet. Staff were very professional and friendly. Food was great, we rolled ours into a tapas so starters and mains together. With our discount card not bad at all £45 total including a bottle of house red.

Went to the York branch on a weekend away. I'm gluten intolerant so I struggle to find restaurants that have an option for me but was pleasantly surprised. The choice was good and varied and having been once will definitely go to another branch closer to home 👍

1st time to any Bella Italia, the place itself was very nice, food good and Jake the waiter was a really pleasant young man and very attentive. Would be happy to return.

Wasn't busy but had enough people to make it feel alive. Food was quick to come out. My son had a pizza and enjoyed it, I had lasagne and it was very mediocre, too much sauce and not enough meat, a bit disappointing really. The chips we shared could've done with another minute or two in the fryer. It's not a cheap place to eat and so I'd expected a better food.

Came to Bella Italia for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The service from Reece was 100% attentive making sure everything was ok with both us and our baby and he was a natural at customer service. The food was lovely and full of flavour having had the lasagne and spaghetti bolognese. Now we've been we will definitely be back.

Pizzas were tepid at best and hadn't been cut properly. Not the cheapeat pizzas so expected a lot better.

Every time we visit york we always go here but unfortunately it's gone seriously down hill. Visited Fri for early evening dinner and used the £5 pasta offer not sure if its same pot of bolognese sauce for offers and normal dinner dish but it was awful I could tell as soon as they put my dish down (which was literally thrown on the table) shocking hospitality anyway the pasta was slimey and the bolognese was tasteless. I had bruchetta to start and the bread was cold and rock hard I'm no expert but I've had a lot of tomato bruchetta dishes and it's meant to be warm bread. Never again.

Dined here on the 21st November and ordered a vegan spaghetti and meatballs. Long story short there was a piece of bacon/pork in my vegan main. The staff were unapologetic and made excuses such as “these things happen”, no manager came to apologise or offer any compensation. Very disappointed.

Food was very standard. Pasta under cooked. Ham in carbonara very fatty, meat balls lacking meatiness and flavour. Not authentic Italian Service was excellent and can’t fault that, a shame the food doesn’t match.

My boy’s loved their food as much as we loved our’s .My brownie was brilliant and my husband loved his food aswell. The staff was lovely and kind and for those reasons I declair a 5 ⭐ review.

The food was delicious and served promptly, which was a positive experience. However, the service was disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested and were consistently rude, even ignoring customers who were speaking directly to them. This lack of attention and politeness really detracted from what could have been an enjoyable visit. I hope the restaurant addresses the issue with staff training, as the food quality was great, but the service needs significant improvement.

We had a wonderful family dinner in Bella York, we ordered lasagna pasta and kids meals ,all of them been delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was served quickly. They also took the time to ask about allergies which we really appreciated. Everything arrived hot and tasty. We enjoy our meals and time together . Saban fantastic waiter ,he checked in to make sure we were happy with everything and even give us a great recommendation. We had a lovely experience and will definitely be back

Ash was a lovely server. Clearly is passionate about his job and providing good service. A lot of potential customers were being turned away but I'm sure they were on skeleton staff due to after Christmas. Couldn't fault ash he was lovely The beef and red wine tortellini was amazing
