The best restaurants in Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Cracking old worldy pub, rustic decor, open coal burners and the most important beautiful real ales (all OSSETT brewery) + a few of the normal largers, Guinness etc to keep the youngn's happy. And chirpy locals. I'll be coming back

Went for lunch for my birthday, food was lovely and menu so different from usual stuff of pies, lasagne, fish & chips etc, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal

Not sure who this is Sky sports pub as the landlady didn’t know how to turn any of the TVs on and didn’t know football is on. She also had an attitude. We won’t be coming here again.

The gyros were absolutely fantastic — packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The lady who served us was incredibly pleasant and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Me and partner have eaten here many times, we have taken family members with us, we even went here for Christmas Day and that was the first time we chose to eat out for Christmas dinner, the service is amazing, the staff are welcoming, friendly and very attentive. The food is beautiful, fresh and well worth every penny. Have never had a bad or even mediocre meal. Five star restaurant.

Bought my son a sausage & chips. The sausage was over cooked and dried out and the chips were terrible. Hard / crispy scraps Worse I have ever bought .

We went here Sat eve 16 of us to celebrate a 90 th birthday along with small children. The staff service was brilliant and accepting of young children attending too. Thank you so much x

It’s taken me a while to write this review as I am so disappointed. We were seated at 3pm when we saw the older waitress , Jackie , eating leftovers and drinking round the corner. Additionally she failed to bring us our mandatory bread which we also saw her eat.i would like it to be noted the rest of the staff were very helpful and polite. An argument broke out between one of the younger members of staff and Jackie and she was heard swearing and threatening to send other staff members home. This was completely inappropriate to do infornt of customers. After we finished our meal we requested tea and coffee. Once again Jackie was seen drinking tea at the tea station. Food was lovely , not sure I will return due to certain members of staff.

Really good food, good service, reasonably priced, and not too hot, glad we called in.
