Thanks to the lady in Costa who handed in my daughter’s bag with her holiday spending money in. We were very grateful to her. Thank you.

I visit Pausa Cafe regularly because I love their coffee, the staff are friendly and it’s generally a good atmosphere. Today however was a complete let down, I thought I would treat myself to a piece of lemon meringue pie to go with my drink. I looked at the pie in disbelief and said to the assistant you must be joking, the piece was half the size it used to be for the same price. I was appalled and did manage to take a picture of it before saying i am not paying for that. What a let down, I think like me the majority of customers that frequent the cafe are seniors that doesn’t mean to say we can be ripped off, I suggest someone needs to review the portion sizes otherwise they may lose customers.

The coffee is about as bad as it can get. I am a qualified trained Barista with my own Espresso machine. My Latte tasted like a weak milk drink no taste of coffee, my wife drinks a black Americano which when I tasted it reminded me of a cheap instant coffee. There are two possible issues poorly trained staff or cheap coffee or maybe both. At home I only use Exhale organic coffee I will not settle for anything less

My client and I visited Grind (top level of Ridings) for a drink and cake after his appointment in town. When we arrived at 3:20 PM, the shop looked closed. The man behind the counter took our order but reminded us that they closed at 4:00 PM, stating that it will only give us only 40 minutes to sit down, I would understand him stating this if we had arrived closer to closing time. As I ordered, I noticed the tea bag selection wasn’t out as usual, so I had to ask what teas they had. While our drinks were being made, the man behind the counter started closing off the pop and sandwich fridge. Another customer arrived while we were drinking, and I heard him tell them they also had a time limit and that he would be closing at 4:00 PM and stated he would be asking people to leave. We felt rushed and couldn’t enjoy our visit. As we left around 3:40 PM, the brownie and cake cabinet was empty, and the whole café looked closed off to the public.

Personally when looking at the menu you d like to think that's what you get especially for a family of 4 and £100 bill with drinks but no.My chicken new yorker came as a 2 piece small chicken peices when paid for 4 peice I did however ask why ,it was said you was charged off the 2 for 1 menu. However I did say there wasn't a 2 g For 1 menu on a Sunday and they realised and came out with more chicken .Only after questioning it though still dissatisfied .There was other issues with the steak being over cooked and the meals not coming out together but ordered together 2 family's ordered at the same time.

I know working retail sucks and at the end of the night you want to close up and go but when I show up at 947pm and you are closed all the chairs are on tables and lights off and one guy is mopping then you don’t close at 10pm you close at 930pm and that is fine but just put that as your closing time. I passed other places to specifically go here to get a drink and then had nowhere else to go on my way home because by then it was too late to get to anywhere else in the direction I was going. Maybe it is time to stop going all together to Starbucks and actually find someplace else that wants my money, and can provide better service.
