Quiet for a Saturday lunchtime,as was the whole town, perhaps I should have gone where the people had gone. The bus station to get out of town was busy. My favourite chicken and chips was in stock, arrived after ten minutes. Compared with last time the chips were inferior, the chicken same, a bit under microwaved. The table however was not cleaned from previous customers, the 'wet' stains had dried. The cashier had a large COVID protection screen so customers couldn't breathe on her. Finally when the food was delivered they forgot to take my number from the table.

Morrisons worth billions of pounds but can't run a cafe coffee machines always broke or empty I even thought of buying some machines for them it's a joke if you ask staff they just walk off saying can't help.

While in Pontefract I popped into the Morrisons cafe for lunch. Not very busy for a Thursday lunchtime. I ordered the half chicken meal. It arrived after only 8 minutes, excellent. Chips were red hot and crispy, very tasty, excellent. Coleslaw and salad very good. Chicken tasty but lukewarm, could have done with an extra couple of minutes in the microwave. Average. The meal was delivered to my table on a nice thick heavy ceramic plate, no tray. While I was eating other people were finishing and putting their plates on the racks, but because there were few trays and many plates, a plate fell and shattered all over the floor, this was cleared up promptly. The staff were overweight middle aged females. The customers looked like zombies from an apocalypse.

Hope you lose all customers due to the way you treat your staff and customers.you are disgustingly short staffed and expect us to wait in long queues for self scans that nobody wants to use.why would we want your job!the managers are obviously yes men with no brains.dont worry about your targets cause would love to see you close.your dirty carpark and closed off entrance is grim.pointless security.pay for someone on a till you morons

Getting really fed up now with this reoccurring problem with morrison's, you chose items that are clearly priced up on the shelves then when you get to the checkout it's double the price luckily i only picked up 3 items and two of them where double the price advertised. Im just glad i didn't get a trolly full as unless you check your receipt il guarantee you will be paying more than the price displayed. I'm not one to make a fuss but this has happened so many times it puts me off going. Anyway there were no staff to clear my self service so i just walked out and left the items as i wasn't keen on paying double. It's annoying morrison's and wrong

Absolutely rubbish this store. Nipped in for 1 item took 20 minutes!!!!!! Every checkout that was open even self checkouts, were queueing 15 deep!! Need more staff on to deal with this busy store. And as for social distancing, a woman was nearly sat on my shoulder. I will not be visiting this store ever again.

Me and my daughter came for our lunch and was looking forward to it but when we got there you have changed to menu.we ordered our meals and we our faces dropped when we at last the meals came we was gobed smacked .Just to say we will Not be eating here again my pie was not what I asked for the gravy was like water my daughter meal which she was not happy as you have taken quiche off the menu and her jacked potato was not what she was hoping for in the end we left most of the meal and will Not be coming back Mrs L Spaull

If you've ever had a person go out of their way for you to the point that it changes your mood completely, Ash will do that. He was great. We wanted muscles and saw the reduced basket nearby, he was just about to re-price them cheaper so told us to hang on (loved him then), then he warned us how quick it all goes so he was super lovely by putting a couple of things aside for us. We carried on with our shop and 5 minutes later, Ash had come to find us down the other side of Morrison's to make sure we had what we wanted. He was so friendly and joking with us also. Top bloke. Best customer service I've had in a while. Thank you Ash!

On 04-01-2021 we visited Morrisons at Pontefract to do some shopping for a 90 year old lady. We put the shopping on the conveyor belt & I asked “Chloe” the checkout girl if she would please sanitise her hands before scanning the items through as we were shopping for a 90 year old lady. “Chloe” replied abruptly “No, I did them 10 minutes ago, if you don’t like it go through self serve”. We had lots of items piled up & it was by now 21.45 so my husband asked for the manager. Someone called Carol came over and said that Chloe could not sanitise her hands as she was allergic to hand sanitiser. My husband replied “Why is she on the checkout then?” Chloe stormed off shouting abuse saying “I’m not having people tell me what to do & I’m not doing it!” No wonder COVID is spreading like wildfire with this attitude.

This was the 1st time and last time i will use the online ordering and Click & Collect service. I placed a large wine order, 19 Crimes 1 x 1.5lt bag in a box at £14 each, 1 x 19 Crimes The Uprising Red Wine at £10 each, 3 x 19 Crimes Chardonnay at £6 each and 9 x 19 Crimes Red at £6 each, the total £105.15, the 15p is for the carrier bags. I did not get the 1 x 1.5lt bag in a box, 2 of 3 x Chardonnay, 2 x Uprising Red Wine (1 too many) and I didn’t get any of the 9 bottles of red wine but I did get 9 bottles of Chardonnay. In summary, I didn’t receive 1 bag in a box at £14 and 1 bottle of Chardonnay at £6 = £20. I did get an extra bottle of Uprising at £10, therefore, my final bill should be reduced to £95.15. They only reduce the final payment to £99.54 so they still owe me £4.39 and I have 9 bottles of Chardonnay that I don’t want. I returned to the store today in Pontefract to get my 9 bottles swapped for what I ordered and try to have the £4.39 refunded to my credit card. An assistant from the click n collect department came out to see me. I fully and calmly explained to her the 4 errors made to my wine order. The assistant fully understood but needed to talk to her manager Richard who was in the warehouse to find a solution to my dilemma. Richard said there was no solution and they could not exchange the 9 bottles given in error or refund the £4.39 that was owed to me due to some calculation error. I think that this is unacceptable. I am not asking for anything which is not due to me – a simple exchange and a refund of the monies owed. I hope that we can come to an agreement and settle this issue promptly. Thank you.

If I could give no stars I would have, just been into the Morrisons store in Pontefract and I must say its the worst managed supermarket I have ever been in since the start of the lockdown. Completely miss managed, its Friday evening and the way its managed there is queues of 40 mins and more, poor old people having to stand for this length of time,absolutely discusting, only 3 people on the tills, all of which are being abused by unhappy customers, completely not their fault of course. I definitely wont be going back, they are treating the very sad situation (covid) we are in to clearly save money on staff costs. Absolutely worst customer service ever. Avoid at all cost.

Try the fish and chips place is always full at lunchtime down to earth honest food. You get a decent meal at a reasonable price. Its a café not a restaurant easy meals for the day time whilst you shop it is what it is.

I know working retail sucks and at the end of the night you want to close up and go but when I show up at 947pm and you are closed all the chairs are on tables and lights off and one guy is mopping then you don’t close at 10pm you close at 930pm and that is fine but just put that as your closing time. I passed other places to specifically go here to get a drink and then had nowhere else to go on my way home because by then it was too late to get to anywhere else in the direction I was going. Maybe it is time to stop going all together to Starbucks and actually find someplace else that wants my money, and can provide better service.

Avoid the Ridings coffee shop! Rude staff, took order wrong & looked at me like I was stupid when I complained - order sent back to kitchen - came back with cold, inedible chips & the original toastie warmed up - shocking!! Will not be returning!!

Personally when looking at the menu you d like to think that's what you get especially for a family of 4 and £100 bill with drinks but no.My chicken new yorker came as a 2 piece small chicken peices when paid for 4 peice I did however ask why ,it was said you was charged off the 2 for 1 menu.However I did say there wasn't a 2 g For 1 menu on a Sunday and they realised and came out with more chicken .Only after questioning it though still dissatisfied .There was other issues with the steak being over cooked and the meals not coming out together but ordered together 2 family's ordered at the same time.

Having just completed my first cycle of chemo and starting to gain my appetite back I decided to order a pizza from here. I ordered my pizza at 18.35 and was told it would be with me in 45mins to 1hr. At 19.58 not having received my pizza I rang back to be told that the pizza was on its way to me. At 20.12 still not having received my pizza I was told it was unacceptable but basically nothing they could do about it as the driver wasn’t answering his phone. The pizza arrived at 20.20 - the driver telling me it wasn’t his fault. The pizza was luke warm and congealed and went straight in the bin. I won’t be ordering from here again as it wasn’t just the delay in the pizza arriving it was the ‘just accept it’ attitude of the staff.
