Very good charity shop and cafe

This diner was a fantastic experience with my loving family and my young children. I really liked the tap water and the cutlery. The atmosphere was like a football match when we score a goal!!!

Kate is incredible, such knowledge on all of the drinks menu and so helpful, such an asset to the team and I’d highly recommend coming to this bar

This is a great place for a drink with friends with a great atmosphere. All the bar staff are really friendly and the selection of drinks is very good. Only issues I have with this place is that the toilets could do with a bit of an upgrade and it's actually so popular here that you struggle to get a seat at times. I've been coming here for about 17 years, and many different owners have tried to turn this pace into many different things (steakhouse, bistro, restaurant). Who'd have thought that people just wanted somewhere to sit and have a drink with friends? Lots of people apparently, which is why this place does so well.

Always busy but amazing service. Food is delicious and always served in good time. Always worth a visit. Been dinning here now for 9 years. Darren

Stopped by for one and wished I had more time and no car. Great authentic British pub with lovely staff in a super friendly environment. They also had a wide range of local/craft beers. And if you like dogs , there was plenty there too. Banging Boozer.

We used to be regulars here for a long time but due to work commitments and few other things we have been busy. Absolutely superb Food as always, I had Bacon Egg & Tomato sandwich, Everything was excellent from the gorgeous bread Roll , superb thick amazing quality Bacon, atmosphere is always very happy and good vibe, great service from all staff as always, polite friendly. This is a gem of a place. Excellent business. If I could give more than 5* I would. Thank you guys.

Didn't visit but was cutting the grass at the side of the pub. Under new ownership just need people to go in.

Best chinese in wakefield, and if you don't like it, go next door for a curry, Italian or pizza...;-)

We didn’t know it was pie night but we were happy to have the pie but saw others given a different menu too which would have provided us with a wider choice. The menu took ages to arrive! The portion wasn’t very big but the presentation looked good sadly my pie was dry . I had the chicken and ham which I think had been reheated so the meat was very tough. If this had not been the case I am sure I would have enjoyed it but it was very dry despite a small jug of gravy between two not really enough. The rest of the meal was tasty so gutted that my pie was not. Bar staff are super friendly and welcoming but it was difficult to get the waitress attention.

I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has been of a really good quality and decent sized portions. The staff are friendly and professional and always appear willing to help. Only draw back was a Sunday afternoon lovely weather and a live band on later in the afternoon. This maybe for some but not for me I prefer my food and drink and be able to chat too. However I will be back undettered

Best takeaway we have had for some time!

Great Sunday lunch, fabulous service from the team and a lovely atmosphere! My Pork belly roast was amazing! We can’t wait to return next week.
