This is one of our regular places to go for lunch or an early dinner. The food is always excellent, the service professional and friendly, and catering for everything from a couple wanting a date to families with children. Would happily recommend this to anyone and it's always my place of choice when friends are in the area and looking for somewhere nice to eat.

Very nice food here and potion sizes are huge but still quality . Would recommend and will be returning . It was packed out too which is always a good sign it has good food as people keep coming back

We visited this evening, myself and my husband were seated on a little table for 2, the spaces between the tables were very narrow and I felt like we were in the way, every time the waitresses were bringing food out they were squeezing passed us and I can’t count the amount of times my chair was knocked as they walked passed the back of me, my pizza was very salty and the base was very bland and very sloppy, won’t be going again.

just a shame you can't book instead of sitting in bar area for one hour waiting for a table for 4

We went at lunchtime for our grandsons birthday. Had a great time lovely food and the service was super.

What a fabulous find this restaurant was when visiting family. Great menu, wonderful specials. Good wine list and the food was fantastic. Very good portion sizes. A big thank you to Nigel who looked after us from start to finish. Excellent parking and nice clean toilets. Highly recommended.

A real diamond of a place. We came for our daughters 15th birthday. No booking system so we had to wait but the wait wasn't too long even though the restaurant was very busy. The service is superb. A friendly attentive team who are always on the go. Everyone who we dealt with was really friendly and professional and our order was taken quickly. When the food arrived, it was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Good portions too. I didn't have room for dessert but ordered one anyway and I'm glad I did! The profiteroles are to die for. The food is fairly priced also. Our first visit as a family but definitely won't be our last. If I could give 10 stars I would ✨️

Great food and great service. Pick the right time don't have to wait long for a table.

The staff were friendly and efficient, the food arrived quickly and was piping hot. I had a classic lasagne which was really tasty and they serve good-sized portions too. I was a bit doubtful at first as they don't take bookings but we were seated immediately - at 1.45pm on a Sunday I think that's really good. The normal menu was varied with all the usual offerings for an Italian restaurant plus there was a specials board so something for everyone. And the prices were reasonable. I will definitely return.

The food here is amazing! Service is always top notch too, you cannot book a table but usually they can accommodate you fairly quick. If not they’ve got a waiting area with a bar where you can relax in the meantime.

We went for lunch and the food was delicious, good service and very reasonably priced.

It's good food can't complain about that but would not go for a birthday again you can't take a birthday cake in had to pay for a brownie to stick a candle in what a joke.

I’ve visited Rinaldis a few times in the past and never had a bad experience, therefore, we decided to visit here again for my sisters birthday meal. We visited on a Monday evening, and when we arrived the restaurant wasn't too busy, but did quickly fill up as the evening went on. It’s worth noting that the restaurant doesn’t take bookings, which could be a problem on busier days, but they do have a bar area where you can sit and have a drink whilst waiting to be seated. The service we received here was great, staff catered to us promptly and were all really friendly. I really liked that the restaurant has an open kitchen, a good sign that food is being prepared to a high standard. For mains, we ordered: pepperoni pizza, calzone and spaghetti bolognese. All of the food was really tasty and was presented well. For dessert, we ordered: a bowl of ice cream and profiteroles, all I can say is wow! Those profiteroles were the best I’ve ever tasted, highly recommend choosing these if you have a dessert here! Overall our experience here was great, a perfect choice for a birthday meal, from the service to the food, everything was up to top standard. We will certainly be back in the near future!

AWFUL. The wait times are shocking, the owner just wants money from everyone waiting more than an hour so we all buy drinks so they can make more money. Never again.

Fantastic meal again, Risotto Marinara was spot on....

Average - not been for many years. Place needs a refurb as beginning to resemble a motorway service station. Don't go too early unless you enjoy screaming kids. Staff were very busy, but attentive and very pleasant. Nothing special about the special pizza - you could be forgiven for assuming the toppings were Asda brand chicken bits and 'torn' ham discarded on top after it had been in the oven. Tasty, but mediocre. Bread was certainly not fresh as cut surface dry and no 'spring' to the texture. Be wary if you have hypertension as foods very salty - one of my party had smoked salmon and crayfish pasta, which turned out to be a smoked fish, definitely not salmon - aside from the potential trading standards issue it was wincingly salty. Prices reflect cost of living increase, which accentuated the poor quality dining experience. Won't be visiting again, but if you're not too discerning you should have a reasonable time.

The food is always excellent here and the service is second to none. The fact that you can't book tables is a bonus, as it means you should always get in for Sunday lunch, if you are prepared to get there early. I've knocked the Atmosphere rating down by one, as the music was pretty loud ... though I guess they would have turned it down, if I'd have asked 'em.

We went as a family of 8 - 5 adults 3 children for my daughters 2nd birthday. The food was absolutely beautiful! It's such a shame to be greeted at the door by the most patronising manager I've met in my life. So rude! As we walked in we were made aware that we weren't allowed the birthday cake to be on the table due to restaurant policy which is disappointing, but understandable. A waiter came to take our order but the manager rushed over and told him that's not for him to do and left the lad looking embarrassed. He then took our orders - we weren't waiting long until our food came and again not a bad word to say, really good quality food. Our daughter, baring in mind yes, she's two and hadn't napped started to cry. Clearly not happy he asked why she was crying. Which we replied "because she's 2 and not napped today she will settle down in a moment." It was like a type of cry that doesn't disturb people, it was more a moaning, bottom lip out type. We asked another member of staff if we could possibly take the cake out and light the candles just so she could blow them out infront of the family. The colleague asked the manager and I tracked him with my eyes and the look of disgust on the managers face was so off putting. He came back and told us the unfortunate news and apologised. He looked frightend to ask the question, nobody should be made to feel like that. We also asked if we could split the bill 3 ways when ordering because it was 3 separate bills orders and it would make it easier for everyone paying. The manager replied "No we don't do that, you can pay 3 separate way at the till it's not hard to work out." Due to the experience of him ruining the meal of our daughters 2nd birthday we won't be returning which is such a shame because the food really was incredible.

We (family of 4) visited Rinaldis on Saturday hoping to have a lovely meal together. When we entered at 7:20pm, we requested a table. We were told the wait time would be an hour or less- that was fine, we didn’t mind waiting that long. Over an hour or so, we saw many people getting seated. After about 1.5 hours of waiting, we approached the lady at the desk to ask how much longer we were expected to wait. To this she replied saying there were only 2 more groups of 4 to be seated, and then we were next. We thought ‘ok that’s perfectly understandable’ and decided to wait a little while longer. During this wait, we noticed several groups of 4 getting seated before us. People who had entered the restaurant after us had been seated, eaten their meals and left, yet we were still stood around waiting. We were becoming increasingly hungry and annoyed. At this point, we had been waiting well over 2 hours. We approached the lady at the desk, and once again she repeated the same excuse of there being 2 groups of 4 to be seated before us. Now it was clear that they had just been making a fool of us, allowing us to stand around and not giving us a table, despite us waiting for so long. We approached the manager/owner and complained about the slow service. His response was that there was nothing he could do about it. He spoke to us in a very patronising and demeaning way and it upset us a lot. We are people of colour and he spoke to us as if we couldn’t understand English; it was very insulting. The rudeness of this exchange was so evident that other customers noticed this and came to comfort us, advising us to go to a nearby restaurant. It was only when we put our coats on, ready to leave, that he came and offered us a table. This was around 9:45pm. The food itself was lovely, can’t complain about that. Such a shame that the management lets this restaurant down.

Always a wonderfully warm welcome and great food at at a great price.

Been for the first time today for lunch after a recommendation from a family member. Very very happy with the overall experience - the food is to die for, staff very friendly and accommodating to anything we needed. Very reasonably priced aswell for how fresh and well cooked the food is. Definitely a new favourite!

1st come 1st served basis. No appointments required. There was 18 in our party. The starters all came together and were delicious. The staff were attentive and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The rest of our food was also spot on. There is no service charge added to the bill. Will definitely go back again.

Been to Rinaldis around 20 times, tonight was the worst by a mile we’ve had. No service whatsoever, scallops were rock hard and the older gentleman got the completely wrong order. We then found out the chefs had left so went home with no food. They then charged me for two drinks on the way out… you make up your mind on the service

Nice atmosphere (music not too loud), staff friendly and helpful. Nice chips but the garlic bread was disappointing: it was a bit too crisp / dry, much too salty and I couldn't really taste the garlic.

No reservations allowed! 5 of our party of 6 could not be seated until the 6th person showed up. Such a ridiculous rule. Surely, having 5 people to serve rather than having us all walk out in frustration would be a better option. The front of house girl needs better training in customer service. She is a real "put off"

We contacted the restaurant to give a heads up as they like larger parties to do, no one ever answered the phone, one of us emailed. Parking was difficult, struggled to find a space. When we arrived, we didn't receive a particularly warm welcome and a larger party that arrived after us, were seated before us! We were waiting over an hour to be seated, awkwardly standing around with people squeezing past to the bar. Not a nice experience. When we were finally seated, we waited another 30 minutes before someone came to take our order, they didn't ask us about drinks and we had to bar queue again. I ordered the same three drinks, twice and was charged two different prices..... Staff shirty about forgotten food items missing, tried to double charge for them, the bill error was resolved though. The food was good, otherwise we'd have been even more disappointed with the experience. It's been a while since I've been to Rinaldis, I used to go often but the poor attitude and service has put us off going again.

I have never eaten such a badly cooked veal. Ordered olives with olive oil as a starter, they were sour and plain, and olive oil tasted very cheap.

Food and service is absolutely spot on. I don’t have a big appetite and the option to get a pasta dish as a starter portion is amazing. Waiters and waitresses are always around to cater for your every need and I feel the menu is very well priced. Great place, highly recommend

Threatened to visit Rinaldis on several occasions after numerous recommendations and it didn't disappoint. Service was quick and efficient. The food order was taken and arrived in good time and was exactly what was ordered, and was followed by clean plates all round which was our thumbs up to all concerned. Not that we were bothered but you cannot book, its a turn up and wait affair but all in all a very enjoyable visit and we'll definitely be back.

Nice surprise to discover this pizzeria The staff is so friendly, one waiter even made the effort to try to speak French What can we say about the pizzas, so tasty, well garnished, the dough soft? We had a lovely dinner

After waiting for over 1 hour for a table we then had to wait for 1 hour 15 minutes for our food. There was no apology and no explanation not even by the manager who was quite dismissive. Thankfully the food was stunning when it finally arrived. If you have got the patience to wait and don’t get beyond eating it is worth the wait.

Possibly the best red wine by the glass I've ever had. Staff and service were fantastic

Never disappoints this local restaurant. We sampled all the steaks this time round and wasnt disappointed. It was a special occasion with my Mum. All steaks cooked to perfection. We look forward to the next visit some time this year.

Didn’t get chance to eat due to the ridiculous rule of not accepting bookings. I had called during the week to advise our family of two adults and five teenagers were wanting to eat there on the Saturday. We were told it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived the bar was full, as was the restaurant, we were told the wait would be an hour. Standing huddled in a corner for an hour is not anyone’s idea of fun. So we left, and will not be returning. You’ve missed a trick with us. You’d have had regular custom and a large spend every time. Our custom will be someone else’s pleasure from now on.

I cannot actually find a better restaurant. Food is amazing, service is amazing, value is amazing. Honestly there’s literally no point going anywhere. (Any negatives people often say is that you can’t book, yes you have to queue, but enjoy a drink and make it part of your evening)

The starters we had were really nice, garlic bread and a selection of meats. However, the main courses were not quite as good, the vegetarian lasagna lacked some flavour and was overall a little sloppy. It was still an enjoyable experience overall.

Great food and service will definitely visit again

We got there 5 minutes after it opened, and there were already 5 tables full on a Thursday night. This indicated that if it's busy this quickly, it's going to be something incredible. Well, we were not wrong, Service was quick and friendly, and the staff liked a chat. The price looked very reasonable, and the place inside was neatly set out and clean. Despite how busy it was, it didn't take long for the food to arrive. Please see the photos attached, we got the classic lasagne and meatball pasta with cheesy garlic bread. 👏👏👏 The quality and the quantity were great! A lasagne that was properly made and a decent size portion where you dont have to order so many sides to get a decent meal. These guys know how to cook food! The meatballs were huge. I would highly recommend a special occasion here or even a family outing or a few friends having a banquet. This place will deliver that occasion.

The food was excellent, service was pretty slow and we got fed up with being asked if we wanted more drinks when we clearly did not.... Biggest drawback is was that it was so NOISY that even as a small group of 4 we found it difficult to hold a conversation

If you are looking for an Italian restaurant then look no further than Rinaldis. It always has a friendly atmosphere and you are made welcome. Always a fantastic menu, cooked to perfection. As you can obviously see this is my favourite place to eat. Pricing is very reasonable, not over priced for the quality of food. I think it depends on the day you go as to the service you receive but the wait is worth it.

Great place for a family gathering, the staff are helpful and friendly, the food is good and flavour full, it's not too expensive, there is an authentic atmosphere, and varied menu, I have been quite a few times and will continue to do so, well done Rinaldis another very pleasant family get together.

Unable to book a table in advance for a party of 12 . Had to sit separate when asked staff if there was a bigger table for us to be seated together she was very abrupt stating only if you want to wait 3hrs. Food was nothing special I had steak was tough or knife was blunt not hot had to wait 10 mins for side order of fries . Few meals were not complete when arrived 1 meal sent back and something different had to be ordered . Would not go again . Definitely better places for food and organisation .

Went to Rinaldis Restaurant for my Daughters 25th birthday tonight, been to this restaurant many times & had such good times, great food & wonderful memories. Unfortunately though tonight from the minute we stepped through the door a lady we have never encountered before & hopefully won't again had the most appalling customer service we have ever encountered We had a birthday cake with us to be very bluntly informed they no longer allow birthday cakes, ok fine we will put it in he car we said, then asked to sit in a booth up top, to be once again bluntly informed prams aren't allowed up top ok again we'll take it back to the car, got to the booth asked for an highchair was for the third time bluntly told no highchairs allowed up top, so gave up & sat at a table on the lower floor, within a few minutes a family with two highchairs were seated in the booth we originally asked for, was obviously annoyed so spoke again with the rude lady & was told they were a bigger party, really?? They were four adults & children we were a party of 5 adults & children. Honestly no idea what her appalling attitude with us was about, really wanted to go elsewhere but a Saturday night for a booking of 6 is hard to achieve at a late hour so had no choice to stay as didn't want to spoil my Daughters birthday further than it had been by having no where to go. Such a shame how one bad egg can spoil a whole place where as I've said before is usually a fantastic night out.

we haven't been to Rinaldis for years , so decided to give it a go one Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant was fairly busy which is a good sign , we had starters and pizzas for mains which were excellent. The service was quite good , they were really good at spotting when we needed more drinks and were quite pleasant, the staff were working hard. There were parts of the restaurant which could have done with a good clean , it's definitely ready for redecorating but it wouldn't put us off returning , the food was definitely on point.

Went for an 18th birthday meal with friends and absolutely loved it. Food was superb and price was decent. Feiendly staff and nice place. It gets very busy as it seems very popular but would highly recommend.

Visiting my nephew + wife with his parents + totally blown away with the turn up + sit attitude or wait till an opening. Loads turned up after us and waited 4 an hour or more till a table was available, but bar 4 waiting was substantial so no problem 😊 very gud food, + a great experience luv 2 come back soon, thanx xx

Booked for a family party of seven and enjoyed some drinks at the bar before seating was available. It's a lively, busy and fun place to eat with attentive staff and an excellent menu. Food was delightful and we had a great time. Highly recommended for an authentic and fun evening. And they have Campari available at the bar...!

Iv been eating at Rinaldis for around 20year always enjoyed the food the staff are realy polite a sociable and the price is realistic.

Visited today for lunch and it was an absolute pleasure. Service was perfect and food was stunning. Bright, airy restaurant without the crowds. This place gets so busy on an evening and it's easy to see why. Will definitely be back, thank you!
