Popped in after a walk around the Dam. Lovely food and nice service. Definitely recommend. The pizza were lovely.

For my son's birthday, we booked a table on Saturday night. Thirty minutes late to get us seated then my daughter's lemonade came and it was just fizzy water. Other tables were being served first and far too few servers. After another 30 minutes with no order taken we left. Absolutely terrible and we won't be back.

Absolutely beautiful room, but don't think it's worth the extra just to have a tiny fridge and a coffee machine

Poor signage, no proactive staff to mention to people that they're queueing in the wrong direction, resulting in guests rejoining the queue at the back after already waiting a relatively long time to be served distinctly average food. Obviously the price of everything is bonkers too. Not good enough, no sign of going in the right direction and sours the experience.

This is a great pub with an amazing atmosphere - there are plenty of quirky little decor pieces around the walls that make any visit that bit more entertaining (my favourite being the backwards clock). The location makes it ideal to pop in for a drink after a walk, or even just as you are passing by and fancy 20 minutes to have a drink and a snack. The staff are friendly and the drink selection is good and reasonably priced. What more can you ask for?

Ordered a latte and fishfinger sandwich. Both arrived hot and yummy! Lovely lunch spot if you've been walking around newmiller dam! The young lady at the till was lovely and friendly 😄

On arrival not many free tables, the ones that were free were covered in used plates cutlery and glasses. I proceeded to order two meals and two drinks via the QR code on the table. 15 minutes went by no sign of the drinks so had to go to the bar. In total it took just short of an hour for the meals to arrive which weren’t great. I have visited this pub many times in the last 10 years and I have to say it has gone down hill along with other marston brewery pubs. The prices are going up and the quality is going down. To summarise I payed just over £37 for two meals and two drinks. I could have gone to weatherspoons and got the same 2 meals and drinks plus two deserts for the same price if not less and not to mention a clean table and efficient service.

Salt and pepper chicken might aswell of been mcdonalds chicken nuggets very little salt anf pepper flavouring etc. curry sauce was more like chicken gravy, and the prawn toast looked as if it had been previously fried in old oil and then re heated in the microwave with a rubbery fishy taste and smell. Definitely not fresh! Lastly the Prawn cracker tasted rank with the old oil they were cooked in. Salt and pepper x1 Egg fried rice x1 Prawn toast x1 Chicken and sweetcorn soup x1 Prawn cracker x1 Total £33.80 And too top it off I have violent diarrhoea this morning. Definitely not worth the money. Probably the worst chinese in Wakefield Will never be returning.

Delicious food, the chips are beautiful along with the rest of the menu. The prices are very reasonable for what you get portion wise. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It can get busy so it's best to get in touch and book a table.

Very prompt service and good quality food

Enjoyed my Sunday visit, one of the best carverys around. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Will deffo be returning.

Only got 1 star cos there's no 0 rating. Advertised gluten free vegetarian sausage sarnie. On receiving the bread was fossilised. Not just stale it was harder than toast and uneatable.took it back to change and was told all the gluten free is the same! Ate some of the sausages cos I was starving, they were total cheap cr@p as well. Park fabulous, cafe I'll never use it again
