Visiting the area & decided to order from here, based on other Google reviews. Did not disappoint! Friendly service & food was amazing. Especially the OK chicken, highly recommend. Food was full of flavour & didn't skimp on the meat!

Very nice service, we ordered on the spot, even though customers kept coming in to pick up their food orders, we didn't have to wait long (10 minutes), very clean, tasty food, I recommend it.

First visit last night and won't be returning. Had the Special Curry which was very far from being special, mostly full of veg with little meat and bland taste. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was very dry and overcooked.

Cash only! Friendly and welcoming Chinese takeaway. Food is nice, didn’t have to wait long even though I didn’t call in advance. Very clean and tidy inside, the plants are well cared for which I always like to see being somewhat of a houseplant addict. I got special fried rice and some spring rolls as was alone. Was really nice. Would recommend.

We’ve been ordering from Kwai Hong for ten years. It was great for a while…these days, not quite as good as it used to be years back, but we’ve kept going. This time, my family had a couple of chicken dishes and the chicken smelled BAD. And it tasted worse…like, off. Not right. And like it had been boiled in urine. So after we’re half way through dinner and my wife and eldest are like “can’t do this anymore, I feel ill”, I ring up to tell them that something wasn’t right. She argues the case: the chicken is fresh, it’s my own personal opinion, no one else has complained etc. The amount of times I must have said I’ve been buying for ten years, I’ll come back, please just take it off our next order. She says no - you can only have one refunded unless you bring back both dishes to them to check. You might think that sounds fair, but I’ve driven fifteen minutes there, waited, driven back home, eaten half my meal and had a beer, and I say no. I’ve been buying for ten years, please refund next time. She argues again so I tell her I’ll go elsewhere next time and I get annoyed and hang up. This is what happens the FIRST time we’ve had an issue in ten years? That’s where loyalty gets you. Everyone says that Lucky Star is better though, no?

Gave this a try as used to be lovely, omg how downhill has this gone, ordered chicken satay got chicken curry ordered chips and most went in the bin as looked like they were 2 week old, also gravy was a lumpy mess that tasted like bisto, will not be going back, very disappointed

This well established chinese takeaway serves very nice food, it's collection only as they do not deliver, it's also cash only, I can definitely recommend.

This has to be the worst Chinese ever THE OWNERS ARE SO RUDE as the food is disgusting and tastes like its been cooked I'm cleaning fluids when asking them to change the food or for a re fund they went nuts and started shouting at me, BEWARE CAN BECOME VIOLANT ESPECIALLY OVER THE PHONE PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS it's disgraceful and they are so horrible and rude. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE YOU WILL BE ILL

Ordered on a Saturday night for collection. The Crispy Chicken in OK Sauce was absolutely perfect, so tasty and really good quality. The Salt & Pepper Chips were a very small portion though which is my only complaint.

We have ordered a few times from here now. The food is always hot, fresh and great value for money. We have tried a few and this is definitely one of the best

Ordered a couple of meals to pick up. Got there on time and had to wait five minutes or so but no problem with that at least it will be piping hot (or so i thought). Got home (3 minute drive) to find both the chips and the spring rolls freezing cold. Can't really warm these up in the microwave so they were pretty much ruined. Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls were huge but all batter. Very disappointed. Hope Fuller opens up again soon. I used to seriously rate this place and would recommend to anyone who would listen. Not anymore.

Get the ribs but ask for them in OK sauce they are the best.

Ordered a take out and with the order got spare ribs, neither myself or my husband could eat them as they were like old boots… rang to tell them politely and the young lady who answered was lovely but the people who cooked it was appalling and said I needed to bring it back, unfortunately I had had a drink and said just knock it off my next takeaway… the answer was you bring it back or you get nothing… their ok taking your money but zero customer service.

When I first entered the shop,I was greeted by pleasant and lovely people. The food was cheap but tasted amazing! I would recommend going there for fast food!

By far the best take out Chinese I've had anywhere in the country. Vegetarian dishes are great as well as the meat.

Not been here for years but it was voted best Chinese take away in my area on Facebook (Crigglestone / Durkar) so thought we would give it a try. I had beef curry and chips and my husband had beef chow mein. Both were lovely much better than local competition including a large local restaurant I won’t name near Asda So will definitely use again

Rang in an order. Promised 20 minutes! Sat here waiting while other people are in and out and order basically forgotten! Rubbish food, rubbish service, avoid at all costs. Update even lore time waiting and food still not here.

This is a great Chinese takeaway. Everything cooked to order, super quick & the best of quality. The Unknown Special has s highly recommended. With a hint of chilli spice & a great selection of mixed meats & crispy vegetables. Great price too.

Popped in ordered on premise and got a freshly cooked order in 5 mins approx . Good portions, Tasted great too. They have menu handouts which are good but do wish they had an online menu though. Food and service great.

This place used to be really good but has gone down hill massively. Ordered a dish with no Prawns, the plastic container it was served in said "No Prawns", opened it up to find it full of king prawns. The rest of the order wasn't great, flavourless and poor quality.

When I lived at home in Painthorpe with my mum and dad, and we ordered a Chinese meal, we always went to Kwai Hong, the staff and the food was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend it to anyone to go and try it.

Popped in here on a Friday night on the way back from the football. Always greeted with a friendly smile. My special with garlic & black bean sauce & chips we delicious, loads of meat & crunchy vegetables. The best Chinese takeaway in the area for sure.

New owners I think, disgusting food, also opened bag put hand in to pull food out to find no lid on curry sauce and burnt my hand bad!! Phoned up to explain all I got was basically I was lying, absolutely horrible service!!!

Decent chinese. Best I've tried in Wakefield so far, local competition is poor. Vegetarians beware, they are unable to provide anything vegetarian.. 5 occasions and the veg spring rolls/vegetable fried rice have had chunks of ham in despite being specific when ordering. Not a problem for me but my partner is vegetarian and is less than impressed

Food is always prepared quickly and I've never had a problem with any orders placed. Particularly like the ribs and curried chicken.

My Favorite is their beef and green pepper in black bean & garlic sauce, I tried the dish in other places but no one does it as well as Kwai Hong! Honestly the BEST Chinese takeaway I have ever had!

I am pleased to advise that my return visit was just as delicious as my previous visit. Friendly & very helpful staff & spotlessly clean.

First and last time we'll be ordering from here. Staying at a hotel that is situated very close and didn't much fancy eating in the hotel so we placed an order and collected as they don't do delivery. My order was vegetable fried rice and vegetables in satay sauce. The satay sauce was tasteless and watery and the rice was egg fried which I specifically stated I did not want. We called and were told we were welcome to back and they will replace it which we did. This time I recieved fried rice, not a vegetable in sight. I also asked for a pot of OK sauce as my main was tasteless and they wanted to charge us £1.70 for it, we obviously refused. I needn't have bothered it was vile, taste very much of vinegar. My partners dish was also tasteless and watery. Very disappointed indeed.

Tenía una comida para llevar de Kwai Hong hace un par de semanas. La chica que tomó el pedido era agradable en el teléfono y sonriente cuando fuimos a recogerla, a pesar de estar ocupados. No nos hicieron esperar para nuestra orden. Disfrutamos de la comida y volvería, pero creo que es probablemente caro para la zona. Pero recibes lo que pagas. :-)

nearly every time give me the wrong order. well it's last time for me. food not bad but order is always wrong. so check your bag before you leave. also they don't deliver.

Está metido en Denby Dale Road, a unos 100 metros de la famosa para llevar otros (pescado y patatas fritas) es Kinfisher Kwai Hong. Fantástica comida preparado a pedido y a un precio muy razonable. Normalmente podemos alimentar y llenar la familia por tanto o más barato que llamar en la tienda de peces. Bien merece una visita!

Have used this take out for over 5 years food is usually really nice though last experience was un enjoyable and getting pricey now nb an ex employee warned me about the amount of sugar they put in the food said you would not believe it unless like employee you saw it wih your own eyes ! I stayed at the Cedar court hotel 5 minutes walk away and visited this takeaway. I found the staff to be very polite and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

We have eaten food from here a few times and have always enjoyed it apart from the rice. It's always hard, boiled rice should be light and fluffy. We found it was in hard clumps. The fried rice is the same. Not sure if it's pre cooked and warmed up? Every time I think it's just a one off but it doesn't seem to be.

The Kwai Hong is a great take out for Chinese food with an excellent selection of meals. We have never had a bad meal from here - all food is well cooked and has a really authentic flavour.I can definitely recommend the Kwai Hong for your evening take out. Enjoy your meal

Although it's only a small place it's big on taste. Have tried other takeaways in the area but still come back to the best, great choice and great food, full of flavour and freshly cooked. If you want good, tasty food served by friendly staff then look no further than here.5 stars

Walked 5 minutes from the hotel to check this place out, almost walked right by it, only take away. Big menu, good food, cheap, £9 for dinner and fast.

The Kwai Hong is a superb take away that has an excellent broad menu and pleasant and polite staff who always do their best to accommodate dietary requirements and special requests. A delight to find such fresh and tasty food on your doorstep.

What can I say its top notch, menu hasn't changed in years, and thank goodness food is hot, tasty and good quality,,,, costs me a fortune but only because no one will share there prawn toast,
