Soup only option without veggie spread or onion bhaji wrap, it was very tasty and came with two chunks of bread so filling. Cold drinks over priced.

Light and airy, food good, nice place to read or sketch, good for family walks, safe to walk alone for contemplation, to sit on the grass in meditation, great place to picnic, plenty to occupy children great for adults I have personally taken people with severe learning disabilities and was amazed by their reactions one man in particular did not just surprise and move me but several strangers around us.

Got a fish butty and chips. The reason for the 4/5 is I thought the fish was a bit dry. Only mine though as my girlfriend disagreed and said to just use the tartare sauce to help 🤷🏻♂️ Plenty of tables to sit on and some good bits of art to look at, or take in the view of the grounds

Dismal courgette tart which was probably 3" in circumference and very sparsely filled with a strange spoonful of tomato gloop on top and no trimmings at all until my son asked for a few leaves and that was literally what he got! Should have read other reviews and gone elsewhere.....

We pre-ordered the afternoon tea, at £18.95 it includes entry to the park if you're already planning on going to the park this is a similar price to a high street cafe or hotel with a beautiful view, if you're lucky enough to get a good seat. The food itself is good I particularly enjoyed the cheese on toast, quiche and scone. The cake seemed a little bit of a let down but I'm still waiting to find a tourist destination cafe in England with excellent cakes so this was no great surprise. The decor of the café is something of a let down given the setting in the grounds. But the food was worthwhile and the Sculpture park is a worthwhile day out in itself, highly recommended.

Popped in for a drink after enjoying a walk round the park. Pot of tea was good but hot chocolate came in a miserably small mug and was barely warm. For the prices being charged, I expect a decent size hot drink as a minimum.

Could have been a really enjoyable morning which was spoilt by the so called restaurant, really a cafe! being dog unfriendly insisting we sat outside with our small well-behaved dog in November, if we wanted to eat. Trying to eat a hot meal outside on a damp day under an inadequate parasol in drizzle was a challenge. The food had a chance of being good if it had not gone cold so quickly.

Visited YSP in October ‘22. Decided to have breakfast in the café. The food was okay, but only just. Everything was under foil on a hot plate, so not as fresh as a local cafe. However, while there was a menu item for a “light breakfast”, I had to ask if there was a regular (heavy?) breakfast! It was a bit pricey, but I guess you’re paying for the view too. No black pudding, and hash browns instead of fried bread 🤔

It was always expensive school dinners here but the range and quality have gone down. You always used to be able to wash down the substandatd trough with a glass of wine and console yourself that the exorbitant prices were helping support the arts, but really they've slipped below acceptable now and stopped serving wine. As seems usual with such places poor choice of food, poor value eg £4.75 for a prepacked triangle sandwich. Most people had their own food with them as did we as they had been before. When will the management of these charity based attractions learn that you make more money by offering good quality, choice and good value. Look at Britain's most successful independent Pub chain Wetherspoons. If you give better than people expect they want to buy from you, if you give less they remember to bring their own in future.
