Not a bad little place always enjoy my nights here

Love the place but my god the music on saturday night was just so terrible. It so bad ive taken the time to leave this review lol. I was shocked that the music in pop world was miles better. A number of other people in bank also said how bad the music was not just me and the group of friends i was with. Im sad to say but if thats what music is going to be on now ill not be going back. God i hope they change it to good music

Came into the pub after hearing good music from outside, I got served by a lovely fella called Jamie, I think he’s last name was schofield… he looked after me and my fiance, very chatty, very kind.. I work in recruitment myself and I would hire him any day of the week.

Clean , decent beer, pleasant staff tidy and clean toilets. Prices are fair and you can watch the footy if your that way inclined. Altogether 4 out of 5

The DJ on Boxing Day (bald man with with a beard) was swearing he called my parter fat and my brother a nobhead on the microphone, we had not said anything to provoke him we was dancing and taking videos like in any other bar, I was grabbed by the bouncers and forced to delete the videos of the DJ swearing at us we was not thrown out because we was not causing any bother but we left after we got asked to leave politely. the DJ was looking at us smug like he had won some sort of argument there was plenty of people around that kept looking in disgust at the Dj for his actions, won’t be going here again very poor experience.

The pub boasts an interesting atmosphere with nice decor, and the staff were notably friendly. However, there was a noticeable lack of seating, which affected the overall comfort of the experience. The drink choices at Union Bank were decent, offering a variety of beers on tap and a diverse selection of bottled options. The prices were fair, contributing to a positive aspect of the visit. One drawback was that the upstairs area was blocked off during our visit, limiting the available seating to the downstairs area. Unfortunately, most of the seats were occupied, making it a challenge to find an available spot to sit. In conclusion, Union Bank is an interesting pub with friendly staff and a fair selection of drinks. While the lack of seating, especially when the upstairs area is unavailable, impacted the overall experience, the positive aspects, including decor and drink choices, warrant another visit.

Very good place to have enjoyable drink. The staff, drinks and music are fantastic. Very clean toilets. I will highly recommend this place. Six of us came for a drink and ended up having three drinks. Keep up the good work. Well done.

Loads of screens for sport, amazing building

Ok pub, decent prices, toilet actually on same level.

Reasonable prices. But tables were messy required clearing and cleaning. But same old story minimum staff on doing their best.

Amazing place even better atmosphere! Best sports venue around especially with the big screen to show sports. Staff are very friendly and quick at serving. Don’t know what his name but i think it is was James or something but the bartender with all the tattoos he was very polite and made fantastic cocktails and gave me good advice on cocktails I can make at home. Would definitely be returning and bringing my friends.

Came to watch England play in the world cup in 2021 and all I have to say is WOW. Biggest screen I have ever seen which made it easy to watch the game. Less than £3 for a pint and quality burger to accompany it. If you are ever in the area and want to watch the sport, this is the place to be.

Great drinks, great prices for Wakefield... £2.20 for a pint!

Wasn't here for long but what I seen and experienced, I liked

Pint of Neck oil and a double gin £18.90 it is worth noting my partner asked the waitress twice if the price was correct which was belligerently dismissed on both occasions, upon getting to our seats we did a small calculation (on the public houses own app), my partner returned to bar challenged and returned with £7 having been told we had been charged for 2 pints of lemonade we hadn't had (back to the app 2 pints of lemonade wasn't £7 either), overall very poor service. .

This pub is easy to find and it's just a 6 minute walk from the Westgate train station.

Went in a 6 pm it was £5 for 2 pints of lager went back in at 10 pm and it was almost £10 for the same drinks plus the ladies toilets was disgusting so I told the bar staff and they said it's not there problem so I said if I am paying that much for drinks I expect the toilets to be usable very rude staff

What a great bar.first time there staff were really friendly and helpful. Place itself was spotless.done out really nice.even do food which we will try. Really nice atmosphere. And drinks a great price.

Went here on new year's eve as our last call before midnight. Good music playing, a good number of people enjoying themselves . Plenty of seating and standing space, good sized bar, easy service. Will definitely return, had a good night and they also counted in the new year unlike some pubs I could mention. Definitely worth a visit.

Above the pub part of this lavish former bank are the headquarters of Craft Union originally part of The Ei Group now under the Stonegate umbrella. Most Craft Union pubs are converted from failing former pubs given a new lease of life sometimes on the small side but prices always very good. This one is possibly the best in their portfolio as the features of the former bank are prominent there is at least two other Craft Union pubs on the lively Wakefield pub scene definitely worth a visit only a short walk from Wakefield Westgate.

Had a great night here a few days ago. I came with the wife and few friends for a few drinks and a meal. The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff (james Rowland) no relation of mine, was so helpful and chatty.

I think this place is hip and happening, and gives me all the good and groovy vibes.

Excellent place! Delicious cocktails and food, available inside or out.. what more could you want?! Highly recommended.

Union Bank is a gray venue! It’s had a significant upgrade since re-launching after the Lockdown and has been brought under excellent news management. Great friendly atmosphere and a good variety of draught and bottles at a very readable price!

Fab bar, middle of town. Great for a couple of drinks before moving on for dinner. Staff always really lovely.

This place is immaculate and the prices for drinks cheap. Just been told that the owner spent 1.1 million on renovating the place and you can tell.

Nice, newly refurbished bar. Plenty of TVs for the sport and cheap drinks. Lost a star for never having enough staff on to serve everyone.

The service and cleanliness is totally outstanding. I ordered the finest wine they sell and enjoyed every drop.
