One of the more rougher premier inn I've been to but it served it's purpose . Room was okay - in need of a paint but it was comfortable and very warm - on that the whole building was roasting hot - definitely needed heating turning down . We had a nice meal in the adjoining pub plus breakfast was nice . Took an age to order the evening meal , I was trying use blue light card they were having trouble with accepting vouchers and the Asian lady serving was ever so nice sorting it out until this horrible lady with dark hair stuck her beak in not a very nice manager at all

Great location for simple overnight stop when travelling and the staff were without exception lovely. It was quiet and the presence of the Brewers Fayre meant it was fast and easy to get a reasonable hot supper too. Although the room was comfortable, I didn't notice until the morning that the room was dusty, grimy and there was black mould on the bathroom ceiling and along the silicon sealant. The window ledge needed some attention too. I slept very well and enjoyed a good breakfast before heading off the next morning.

So I booked into this hotel looking forward to a good night sleep and especially the breakfast, unfortunately due to work commitments I wasn’t able to have breakfast but the staff were fantastic and looked after me with a takeaway and plenty of it brilliant hospitality.

As a regular customer of Premier Inn, Pontefract North is a standout hotel from room to food, a cut above the rest well done team 👍

Up north - stayed one night to visit a local plant for business. SatNav sent us around the back, so double check the post code if navigating here. Staff pleasant and friendly. Brewers Fayre opposite and busy. Room was cold initially turned heating on and found quite noisy throughout the night. Room and hotel were tired so could do with some repairs and paint. Bathroom ok and shower hot though towels were on small side, no heated rail or de-misting mirror which is quite common now days. Window only opened an inch and could hear the motorway quite clearly! Restaurant immediately opposite about 10 strides. Food and service was ok nothing special as was breakfast, though a bit dried out if I am honest, as the food was kept hot. Menu fairly simple. Local farm smells in the morning made us hit the road quick. Not bad value though I would look to stay elsewhere if I were in area again...3/5

Really nice hotel. Well located. Service was impeccable. Clean room . Very spacious. Had all I needed and more. Staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant next door has a comfortable and cosy feel to it. Lovely for families with children. There were a few there yet it still was calm and collected. Menus were rather good. Food is reasonably priced. It arrived hot and fresh. Bar service was also some of the best I've seen in a while. Overall this hotel and restaurant was amazing value for money and I will definitely be visiting again. Would highly recommend. Suitable for children . Good menu. Great food and even better staff. Can't think of anything to improve on. Would easily give them 98 out of 100.

Was not reminded to put vehicle registration in , which is quite bad as it was very quiet and it's in a major road so it would be obvious that most people would drive there , also the room did not feel as clean as other premier inns , then there was the rubber breakfast , sadly the worst premier in I have stayed in . Would I stay there again ? No .

Recently stayed here for work , the staff were very friendly and happy to be of assistance. The room smelt of stale smoke and there was a burn mark on the carpet. No phone signal here , only way I could get signal was to put my phone on the windowsill and leave it there . Food at the attached restaurant was ok, a little bit crowded at night but that is to be expected. Breakfast was fine with plenty to choose from, and everything was stacked up neatly .

To be honest I have given a rating of 5 stars for location because we are using this Premier Inn as a stopping place over night breaking the journey between the Scottish Highlands and Plymouth, to which it is ideal. However, there seems little else in the imdeiate area other than the adjoining Brewers Fair.

The hotel is just outside the sign for pontefract. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel, especially our 2 rooms, were kept very clean. There isnt a lift, my brother has a walking stick and did have trouble with the stairs on the colder/end of the day of busier days. We dont usually bother requesting a ground floor room becsuse there is usually a lift. Definitely worth what we paid

We visited this weekend for a long weekend for my partners birthday. Staff went above and beyond as when we entered our room they had placed a birthday banner, balloons and a card wine and chocolate. It was a very lovely welcome. I was a bit grumpy and tired upon arrival as we were a late check in but this made my partner and I very happy and grateful. Throughout the weekend staff were always friendly, helpful and happy. We would certainly return as it is also a good location to be in. It's so close to many link roads if traveling. 😊

Sorry about this, you will know who I am, with your CCTV. King Po Chicken , didn't enjoy it, no taste or spice, plenty of cashue nuts. Basically had it around 20.30, went to bed. Had to get up 00.30 with THAT feeling, 30 min later lost 1/2 a stone in the toilet. The worst chinese i have ever had. Don't worry I will NOT be back. I would give you -5 if I could. Sorry.

Famed for their burgers, it was great to see they had a plant-powered menu with a large selection of options! Myself obviously going for the “Hey Hot Stuff” which was a @movingmountainsfoods patty, vegan cheese, jalapeños, roquito chillies, onion rings, spicy vegan mayo and the usual burger toppings. There’s a good selection of sides too, but what won it for me was the Vegan Duck Loaded Fries! Quacking with flavour, the ‘duck’ was succulent and tender! Smothered with juicy hoisin sauce and topped hoisin mayo, toasted sesame seeds, spring onions and red chillies. I would happily return here just to gutbash on the fries alone! And there’s few venues up and down the country, including London, Leeds and Manchester. Real messy but so worth it!
