Love love love this place! Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, always enjoy visiting here, will be returning and would recommend to all

Meal was down to earth tasty and of agood size. Home made chips. Anybody who offers egg and chips on a menu totally gets what I want. No pretention just down to earth pub grub cooked beautifully and served with a smile. They get what we want and I loved it.

First time visit and was vert impressed. The food was delicious and the service was second to none. Will be visiting this wonderful pub again . Plenty of parking and a outdoor play area for the kiddies.

Proper home cooked great value food

Only popped in for a drink but it looks a fairly decent place to stop and eat, what dishes I could see looked nice and portions looked good, will more than likely eat there one day soon.

We ate at the station last Thursday afternoon, it was the first time we had been and it won't be the last. The place was packed I couldn't believe it for a Thursday afternoon but once I tasted the food I could understand why. It is proper pub food!! Really reasonably priced and so tasty. I struggle to find a good pub that does homemade food now so I'm delighted we have found this treasure. Can't wait to go back

This place was recommended to us by some friends and neighbours so we decided to give it a try. I can honestly say they were right the food here is excellent, proper home made pub food very friendly staff would recommend, also very generous size portions

We met family members at the Station pub for a late lunch as it was a very convenient location for us being between Leeds and Sheffield. We were certainly not disappointed. The Staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were allocated a table in a quiet dining room where we could chatter. The bar also looked very welcoming and there were a lot of people eating there too. We were quickly served drinks and given time to study the very extensive menu. We did not have to wait too long for the food which was delicious and the portions were large. I had roast beef in a giant Yorkshire pudding and I have never seen so much meat (succulent and tender) on one plate. In the end I had to admit defeat. I would highly recommend this pub which seems to have extensive opening hours. We visited in February but there was a garden and extensive playground for the children which is sure to be well used in summer. Why not give it a try?

Absolutely brilliant, proper pub. Staff always friendly and welcoming, and the hearty home cooked meals are amazing for the money. It’s not fine dining, it’s not a special occasion place, but its not meant to be. It’s just a good old fashioned and honest pub, serving great no nonsense food that’s far better than the chain rubbish you get most places these days. You won’t go away hungry or feeling short changed. Love the place, highly recommended.

We’ve just taken my lovely 95 year old mother-in-law out for dinner, the first time she’s been out for lunch since moving to a care home a couple of weeks ago. We knew we’d be well looked after and that she’d enjoy the hearty Sunday lunch. We all enjoyed our food as always and the staff were as friendly as they are every single time we’ve been. They were happy to oblige with a small plate dinner for the mother-in-law as the portions sizes of the regular meals would have been too much for her. The rest of us wolfed down our main sized portions though. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly locals.

Friendly pub with some good food options on menu, good to see proper home made chips for once and not the standard frozen effort! Definitely be returning. Food portions are huge too. Steak melt baguette was so tender it really did melt in mouth.

My 1st visit. A fabulous old building which was once close to Crigglestone train station, now long gone. 2 real ales were available, Bradfield Farmers Blonde was bang on form. Sport was shown on many TV screens. An extensive food menu was on offer. Recommended if your nearby! 🍻

It was my first time in station pub with the wife tonight, it was excellent from the staff the customers food. We were made to feel so welcome by everyone there was a lovely atmosphere through out the evening, Really good value for money we have two sons who play rugby one plays for the Leeds Rhinos we will be bringing them down next weekend. Bernard and Julie satisfied customers.

Came out for lunch , absolutely delicious food and really friendly staff . Steak pie chips& veg , lasagne & chips , you do get salad with this but my husband doesn’t do salad , sweet and sour chicken , rice , chips & salad , 3 glasses of wine & a pint of beer for less than be £50

Nice warm and welcoming Fantastic food

Superb (and plentiful) 3-course Xmas lunch, so tasty and served piping hot, followed by coffee/tea - all for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was great, the staff were lovely and the place was spotless. This was our first visit, but it definitely will not be our last!

Just had our 3 course Christmas dinner. It was absolutely beautiful, a shame I couldn't finish it!

Main course was absolutely spot on, however… We were placed in the back dining room where it seemed we were forgotten about, we had to ask twice for our plates to be cleared and to order deserts. We ended up with our deserts over an hour after our main course. Also, there is no functioning locks on the bathroom door of the women’s toilets which led to a confrontation in the toilets when I pushed the door open unaware that somebody was inside. This shook me up as the woman was really angry (understandably). Staff got my desert order wrong and insisted that they hadn’t written it down incorrectly and came back a second time to try to convince me to settle for the incorrect desert. When i eventually got the right one it was dry and couldn’t even get the spoon through it (sticky toffee pudding)

Love this place, went there again yesterday, sat near the log burning fire and had a hearty meal of roast beef in a yorkshire pud, absolute delight, You know many eateries could learn from this place, locally sourced ingredients and priced very very competitively, but apart from that the staff are amazing, They cant do enough for you, well done station pub, great work

This place is a must visit there baguettes are to die best around. I've been plenty of time working my way the baguette section today I had steak and cheese this one is my favourite so far Prices are very reasonable with the excellent quality of food you'd expect to pay more. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. Excellent drinks selection to pick from on the bar. Oh before I forget the cheesecake just wow Definitely one of my favourite places Nice big beer garden good in the summer

I'm currently sat at home dying due to the amount of food I've just eaten. Foods great. I had the lamb shank that was cooked well, the veg is over the top with 5 types on the plate.

We have passed this pub many times always saying we will call in, well we did yesterday and were pleasantly surprised, it is a nice pub with plenty of outside seating and entertainment for the children. We both had the steak pie, chips peas, carrots, cabbage, and broccoli and it was very nice and lots of it, my partner couldn't eat all of her veg but we still made room for the jam sponge and custard. It was a very nice hot meal and I couldn't find a fault with anything.

Best place for food by far. Portions are huge. All freshly made.

My sister and I have been coming to the station for a while, and the food has been 1st class every time. The staff are really helpful and lovely, Katy and Kirsty are outstanding. We look forward to our scrumptious lunch every week.

Have been several times forSunday lunch and always had a great meal. Some of our group order other meals and they too are always very happy with their food. The choice is extremely good, the food is tasty, piping hot and there is plenty of it. The staff are pleasant and helpful I highly recommend it.

A very friendly pub with lovely reasonably priced food can't fault it, with some great beer to wash it down with give it a go I don't think you will be disappointed.

Visited previously and had stunning baby BBQ ribs, braised steak baguette, both with freshly made white fluffy chips, the best we've had anywhere for ages! definitely 5 out of 5*. Had wholetail scampi today - small, dried, crunchy. Chips were well overcooked, dark in colour & crunchy, not like they were on our last visit. Told my wife I wasn't impressed. She said her chips were obviously from the same batch, but not to fuss, to just eat it. She told me afterwards her baby BBQ ribs were only warm and she was on the verge of sending her meal back, which really isn't like her. An unexpected disappointment. Don't know if we'll return as we wouldn't be happy to be let down again. Finishing on a positive, the Stella and Tetley's were both spot on.

This is a fantastic traditional or style pub with home-cooked food and pleasant welcoming stuff, with a wide range of drink selection. The baguettes are amazing and at reasonable price I would recommend this pub to anyone looking delicious food

If I was rating on food alone then I’d have given 5 stars (my son said the ribs were chewy and fatty but everything else we ate was beautiful with large portions). Sadly, the pub has let itself down. You must order at the bar meaning you have to queue very close to lots of other people. It’s not good at all and would be much better to have orders taken at the tables. Lots of people moving around the pub when it’s busy is not good for social distancing. Also, 2 of our 3 glasses had lots of lipstick on which unfortunately wasn’t noticed until the drinks were finished. Being given dirty glasses is totally unacceptable, even more so in the current climate. Improvements should be made.

First visit after lockdown and what a fantastic job dale and katie have done with the place extended outdoor patio area into kids playground Added New slides Etc to playground (A parents delight)added more tables outside put screens up between tables in main bar one way systems hand sanitizers fantastic the place was very busy but the staff just kept smiling and did a great job ! Got a takeaway sunday dinner for me and me mam and dad and it was lovely much better than some of the carverys round here. Beef was so tender you could cut with a fork. Amazing value for such fresh delishous food.

First meal out since lockdown and was understandably nervous about it all but that was quickly put to bed when we arrived. Tables were partitioned off by screens and the toilets were limited to one at a time. Social distancing could be easily adhered to.We ordered but had to wait an hour for food to arrive though we were told from arrival that this would be the case due to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme causing it to be busier than normal times. If you don't like waiting then please avoid going to any place offering this scheme, and be civil to staff instead of venting frustration because you had to wait like everybody else there. Also don't be greedy, ordering more food than you can possibly manage to eat and then waste it. Some items weren't available because people abused the 50% off scheme and over indulged. We managed to find something to eat that was available and we weren't disappointed when the food arrived. Piping hot and freshly cooked to perfection. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful when required. They really don't need to be shouted at by rabid customers for stating that food would be delayed due to how busy the pub is. Not sure if the scheme is a good idea overall as it seems to be causing longer delays than desired and as stated above, unwanted negativity and hostility from undesirables, I hope they rescind it to be honest as they will cope fine without it as we plan to come again when the scheme isn't running, the food is that good, that you'll happily pay normal prices for it.See you again very soon!!!

First time we had ventured out for a meal since lockdown.The measures they have put in place are brilliant.felt totally at home.Wonderful friendly staff as usual and our Sunday lunch was beautiful,wish we could transport The Station to nearer where we live.

Only the second time I've ventured out since lockdown and wasn't disappointed. Felt completely at ease with all the distancing measures, the staff were amazing. The food was the best it's been. Well done The Station! X

We often visit this pub for food during the week as it’s very reasonably priced, piping hot and tastes amazing. During lock down they’ve been delivering food and doing takeaway and they have NOT DISAPPOINTED - AMAZING!The chips are out of this world and the staff are the most genuinely lovely people you’ll ever meet. The menu has a fantastic range, from classics to vegetarian items, plus it’s all home cooked so tastes even better!!! Without a doubt in my mind one of the top 3 pubs in Wakefield, it not West Yorkshire. Plus they host an amazing quiz on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Hope to see you all again soon

We have ordered a take away Sunday lunch every week since the end of March & we haven’t yet had a bad dinner, the food is absolutely delicious & we look forward to our weekly treat! Lovely food served by genuinely lovely people - try their food you won’t be disappointed!

Just had a takeaway Sunday lunch today and it was delicious. Food was hot, tasty, and plentiful. Roast beef, Yorkshire pud, mash, roast, 5 veg and delicious gravy. I’ll defo be calling again and I will visit when the pub reopens.

We have always enjoyed the food down at the station since we moved over here 4 years ago. As always the food was so tasty, definitely recommend the roast beef dinner. Huge portions and loads of gravy nothing is ever too much trouble they go above and beyond. Also since lockdown they have continued to feed the community and put amazing safety measures in place. Always happy and smiling.. Can't wait till we can call back down at the pub with family and friends. Thanks again Natasha

Just been and collected our 2 beef Sunday lunches the food was lovely it was ready on time as usual and plenty of it, also it was still hot to say we live 15 mins drive away and the staff are always friendly. Have recommended it to friends and they had it last week and said would be ordering again. ✨❤️

I am going to have to really disagree with previous bad comment when the pub was open the food was always fantastic absolute platefulls and a lovely beer garden attatched to keep kids amused, now in lockdown the only thing i miss from takeaway service is the fantastic salads you get with most meals. We do takeouts twice a week the baguettes are fantastic as the home cooked chips and the sunday dinners are fantastic.If there is better out there than this for the price and quality i will be amazed. Dale and Katy really go out of there way to provide a fantastic service and cannot wait till pub reopens.

We have been ordering Sunday lunch from the station for the last few weeks. The first time we ordered we were really impressed by the quality of the food. We usually get roast beef sundsy lunch and it's so delicious! Portion sizes are generous, the food is lovely and it's great value for money.The staff are wonderful and so friendly. It's been lovely to have a Sunday treat through lockdown!We'll be continuing to visit for our takeaway Sunday lunch and look forward to the pub reopening so we can call in for a drink.
