Silkwood Farm Pub Restaurant in Wakefield

My food was cold. I didn’t even get a full slice of meat, the tiniest bit of gravy, the mash potato still had pretty much a whole boiled potato in it not mashed, and 5 huge roast potatoes. The whole thing was a disgrace. Won’t ever order again. Such a waste of money.

They sent us wrong dessert, food was cold and was all mushed together. Used to be one of our favourite places but it’s really gone downhill- won’t be ordering again

I’m have to leave a low review as my order wasn’t correct we had one meal missing, the delivery couldn’t help and the restaurant number no one answered or returned my call despite leaving a message, we had to try split the order to feed another- really disappointed

ordered extra yorkshire pudding and didn't even get 1 never mind 2. huge mound of mash but no roast and barely any veg.

cakes where good unfortunately one came like it had been sat on and was broke into a lot of pieces

Lizzi was amazing! Very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was incredible. Yorkie wrap and bacon and cheese burger were the best we've ever had. Service was quick, food was quick and prices were great. Just what we needed after a 3 hour drive!

Dalimil and Lizzy is a very kind and respectful worker also the desserts are delicious and will gladly come back

Food was awful I wouldn’t let my daughter eat the sausage looked like it had been reheated 12 times over. steak was awful quality nothing seasoned and none of the food hot. gravy was like set jelly.

I've been going to silkwood for many years, and the service you get absolutely depends on the staff on the day. Last week, the service was ok, but 2 out if 4 of us made requests to have our meals altered and neither request was upheld. It wasn't a major thing for us but for people with allergies it could be a different story. We went on a quiet evening too so being busy couldn't be used as an excuse.

Silk wood farm is great and the food is top notch very helpful staff and friendly, even the food on the too good to go app is remarkable

Rob and Harry were great hosts, the food was tasty and plentiful and the service was excellent. Had takeaway cakes which were amazing. Would highly recommend especially for families.

Brill night, food fantastic, great carvery and buffet breakfast this morning, staff so friendly and the beers and wine. Great value for the money

Carvery was lovely, plenty to choose from and the beef just fell apart, not tough at all. Excellent service from the staff too, very friendly and accommodating- well worth a visit!

We went with my mother in law for breakfast the breakfast was lovely spot on . My mother in law Joan went with her friend Jill and she said the the food was to die for and the gravy was homemade she said wanted the repice and she also said the staff was so friendly and kind and couldn't do enough enough for you since it changed over management it's 10 out of 10 because last time it wasn't good the food wasn't but this time food was lovely and so was the staff Well done slikwoods she be coming again and so will we .

Food was very good apart from hubby had mixed grill about 6 30 pm , all meat , Presentation lovely, not greasy , only thing to spoil it was the sausages, they was that dry , wrinkled and cold , looked like left overs from breakfast buffet u couldn't even cut them would of needed a chain saw , shame otherwise all fresh meat cooked lovely, shame as would of given 5/5 but sadly they let themselves down

Colette was out of this world with her customer service. The new general manager is making some really positive changes. Will be back excellent service

I ordered on just eat and this is what we got. The meat wasn't enough to feed a sparrow very un happy won't be ordering through just eat again. 🤬🤬

Very welcoming staff and lovely atmosphere. Bottomless Breakfast is exactly what you expect but for a really good price of £7.49 per Adult and £4.99 Per Child. I'll give a personal shout out to the GM Robert for being really friendly and making us laugh. Thanks.

We booked for a family gathering of 22 at short notice and the staff got us in with no problem… service by Gemma was on point she was very helpful and polite… we did have to get a refund on 1 of the meals but that was due to fussiness not standard of food.. will definitely be eating there again

Sorry to say food is very average but the most annoying thing is having to wait for you meals coming out. This afternoon the pub was virtually empty and the food took ages, pudding fruit crumble and custard took an absurd amount of time- we had to ask three times where it was - crumble and custard ! no doubt pre-prepared so just needed a microwave which I guess is what they used. No excuses it was rubbish.

Lizzie was our waitress today and she was very friendly polite and helpful. We where greeted as we came in and shown to our seat. We are regular visitors. We had a carvery and 2 kids meals which where all nice, kids said theirs was lovely. The children had ice cream afterwards which Lizzie went and got for us.

Far too hot. Middle of summer. No air con. Windows don't open. Food ok. But too hot and flustered to eat it.

It was a really good experience, the staff were outstanding and extremely nice, especially our server Lucy who was extremely kind, polite and an asset to the company, they also had vegan and vegetarian options which was really nice and was wheelchair accessible, I would definitely come again and recommend to my friends. 😁

Honestly 10/10 service! My server was Colette and she was amazing! Helped me get a silly photo of my huge dessert and was So patient and kind with my baby’s. Ones ADHD and she was just a gem! Loved the food today and was priced well!

We had lunch at Silkwood Carvery today. We have been before so we knew what to expect. Well cooked food in a clean and tidy pub. Our waitress was friendly and helpful so well done Lizzie!

Visited twice on our trip to Leeds/ Wakefield. The food is great value for the price. If nothing else you just need to go for the humongous desserts. However what makes it is the great service. A real cut above. Massive thanks to Liam (breakfast) and Cathy (sorry if spent wrong, tea [when in Rome]) for making a great experience.

Cathy is 5*, her customer service is outstanding, very helpful and goes above and beyond. Very smiley. Keep up the hard work.

Really quick service today although was quite empty. Food good but dont understand why Carvery is £3 dearer on a bank holiday, nothing is any different. Lizzie was very friendly and pleasant, nice friendly member of staff.
