Brilliant for after nursery visit. Food was lovely and the staff were very helpful.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff

Lovely carvery ..I have not been for a few years as the food had gone downhill but recently returned and it was beautiful.

My only concern was the car park was so icy, Even where the disabled parking spaces are, I'm a leg amputee and nearly went on my arse because of black ice as I was getting out of my car.

Called with family for buffet breakfast , Glad we did , on entering there was a very chilled morning vibe , staff where very helpful and down to earth , the food was VERY GOOD , well cooked and tastey , washed down with Yorkshire Tea .For the price i felt i was ripping them off !! ...All round good experiance , We left smiling , with full bellys n a not so empty wallet, all round good experiance , have already recomended n will definatley be back again 😁👍

As my wife is on a low fibre diet because she has cancer, we have found Silkwood Wakefield can offer both of us a good menu with wholesome good value food. Although there are many eating establishments in Wakefield, yours is our go to choice. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Just recently my wife had to have extensive abdominal surgery and she says the thought of being able to come to Silkwood for a meal she can trust helped her to get through her long hospital stay. Keep up the good work in these challenging times and the best of luck and thanks to all your staff.

Regular visitors with residents of care home for lunch during day trips. Staff are always lovely, with nothing too much trouble. Food is always greeted by our residents with great appreciation. Cannot fault the experience.

Called in for an Wedding Anniversary meal with the wife on New Year's eve. I had the mixed grill the wife had Scampi and Chips. Her chips were cold when they arrived. NO offer of replacing the chips when it was brought to the waitresses attention just a " Oh! I will tell them to keep an eye on it. My chips on the mixed grill were piping hot. The chicken was moist and beautiful. The Gammon was a little chewy BUT ... The Steak was absolutely disgusting the steak knife couldn't cut it and it was like eating pure salt. When I told the waitress she said Oh is it a little over seasoned? NO...... It was like chewing a lump of salt. Not a hope in hell of me going there again. I did receive a reply to this review from Samantha asking me to get in touch with the manager. I called at 14:50 New years day and it went to answer machine, I drove past 5 mins later and it was open ( just not for calls I guess) Left my details now awaiting a reply...... Update on this review. It is now a week later 7.1.25 And still no returned call.

Our entire visit was absolutely perfect. We were greeted as we arrived, shown to our table and explained allergy advice as we told them in our booking info about a nut allergy. We used the app to order our dinners which was simple to use from ordering through to paying. I chose to order at the bar, and was pleased to find out about you having zero percent larger on tap, and took advantage of this during our stay. Our meals were all well presented, hot and flavoursome, especially the chip shop curry sauce which is a personal favourite of ours. We finished with coffee which didnt dissapoint and was the perfect finish to our meal. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, and a joy to share our new years day dinner with. Especially the Manageress. We have visited here many times now, (last new years day also) and can honestly say we have never had a negative experience. Well done guys.

My first buffet breakfast at the Silkwood, and I was very impressed. Polite staff, plenty of seating areas, clean and had a good atmosphere. The food was well managed and maintained e.g. hot and plentiful. Good quality produce too, I especially liked the sausages. As the meal and drinks were 'bottomless' it was very good value. Will not be my last visit thats for sure. Would highly recommend a visit.

Carvery was lovely & Chocolate fudge cake was big enough to feed all 3 of us. Very generous portion. The staff was very helpful & friendly. This was our first visit & we will be definitely coming back.

From the moment we walked into Silkwood Farm we were greeted by friendly staff who then looked after us throughout our stay. The food was delicious and we had plenty of time to eat and chat together as a family. In my opinion Silkwood Farm has a lovely homely feeling and the staff just make our visits really special. My brothers and neice all loved their Christmas meal at Silkwood farm too. Thank you

I was really disappointed with my visit to Silkwood Farm. The food was below par; the carvery tasted almost stale, and the pie lacked flavor and quality. While the staff were polite and helpful, it wasn’t enough to make up for the poor dining experience. Unfortunately, the overall standard just didn’t meet expectations. There are much better places in the area offering higher-quality food for a similar price, so I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

Came for a family Christmas dinner before Christmas ( if that makes sense ) due to us not being able to see each other. All had starter,Carvery and a cake away. Stuffed as you can imagine,only critique was the noisy kids in the play area. Other than that,spot on, and we definitely will be back 👍🏻

Christmas breakfast with Santa was great, plenty of choice of food unlimited hot drinks, Santa abd his Elf were really good with the children and Liam was such a pleasant member of staff, very good value.

An amazing first visit and we will definitely be visiting again. Staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious. The carvery chef was so bubbly and friendly. Just an overall really good experience. The food was hot and fresh and the cakes are out of this world!!

Came for festive meal and we loved it. Had a starter that was brought out to us, the main meal was carvery and desert we were able to have it boxed to take home. For the money it was worth its very delicious food and full stomachs. Glad there was a selection of 0.0% alcohol drinks to choose from for those of who drive.

Could next we have some shortbread please Liam is a great.

Food fantastic, excellent service, cosy atmosphere. We had the roast carvery (honestly nothing beats this! Better than Toby) Roast parsnips were fantastic as good as can be. Only criticism I can share for the mash is it needs a touch of salt. However given this is part of a larger chain I imagine they have to avoid using additional salt to stick within health guidelines. Thankfully there's condiments on every table to help you get that perfect carvery. Hosts Colette and Rob have been a perfect duo. Any problems. Talk to them, they take the feedback on board and appreciate honesty as the best policy. Been to many Greene king & Farmhouse inns, this one takes the cake... Speaking of cake, don't fill your plate too much. You'll need the space to handle those beautiful monster sized cakes. Thank you all for a lovely meal as per usual.

Not the best. I've ordered a strawberry soda and was tasting only of carbonated water no syrup at all. The all day breakfast was alrightish, they put some butter on my plate but no toast. Saturday night before Christmas the place was nearly empty when everywhere else was very busy, so that says a lot. The Elton Mess was very disappointing, had no strawberry cheesecake at all only ice cream and some cream on top

We were a large group of 14 and everything went really smoothly, the pub was full and yet the staff were happy, helpful, organised and attentive. They had everything planned so well so that everything went smoothly, everyone enjoyed their meals, the crackers were such a lovely touch and it made our works’ Christmas meal a perfect one. Second time visiting recently and wow what can I say my carvery was amazing. Could not fault it at all Cakes look amazing too but after the plate full of food I could not fit any more in. 😂 All the staff are really happy and friendly Really love this place Will be back again

Needed a breakfast refuel and saw this pub from the road. Buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. All options nice and hot. Not too greasy. Collette came over on multiple occasions to make sure everything was okay and we didn't need anything else. She also cleared away as soon as we were finished. If anything is missing or empty just ask and they'll sort it straight away. Great service. Many thanks.

Ordered fish and chips, took around 35 mins. The fish was ok but the chips portion was a bit too small

Had the Carvery tonight, there was a great selection of vegetables and potatoes the gravy was amazingly thick and delicious, the meat was plentiful. I was served by olly and couldn’t fault the amount offered on my carvery, table was serviced by Lucy who was very pleasant and efficient offering anything else I required. The manager was excellent in checking everything was ok
