Kelly did a brilliant job, from taking the order to cooking the fish and chips. They were very fresh with good portions, and thick curry sauce, which is perfect! We will definitely be returning soon!

Had a special haddock from Durkar Fisheries it was as big as a whale lady behind counter who cooked it said might have to give it a couple of minutes more due to the fact it was a big piece of fish which suits me as i think a lot of fishes are underdone these days anyhow turned out to have some of the crispiest batter I've ever had and the fish was piping hot and done to perfection been there a few times now and I'm from Bradford and that's 15 miles away definitely recommend this place

Ordered fish n chips. Opened up and they didn't look the best, but they tasted spot on, fish was very nice.

We came yesterday as we were early for an appointment. The staff were friendly and helpful and did a great job serving our order. Price is good The shop is smart and clean It was quite busy so that is always a great sign as there are other competitors around. Plenty of off road parking with the size of the car park and good access and location next to the M1 junction 39. We just had ours in the car park I've come here for years when I'm in the area. The food is great and it's convenient They sell Ben Shaw's drinks so that is a added bonus 😃 You can sit in here too if you don't want to sit outside or in your car I've posted a picture. It's not the full portion as I couldn't wait to start 😃 5 stars from me

Don’t recommend, chips where greasy and fish was and had hardly no batter. Lass in shop wasn’t very helpful as I asked for a bag and they cost 10p didn’t have change on me and wasn’t aloud to pay card as it would cost them to much and they didn’t offer me a free one out of kindness which personally I would of as its only 10p! Suggest asking people in advance if they want a bag. was very cheap in price and I now know why! Would give no stars if I could.

Absolutely gorgeous fish and chips. Don't have them often but almost always from here. I was just a little disappointed they no longer do pies. But the fish & chips they make more than makes up for it.

Lovely fish and chips, freshly cooked battered sausages for the kids to have. We order fish and chips and a fish for 2 adults as there are plenty of chips in one portion for 2 people. Same for the kids too, 2 battered sausages and a portion of chips. Mush peas and curry sauce a must with a bag of scraps. Very reasonably priced too.

Every area has their own favourite fish shop but I can't find one that is close to my house, anyway, what I will say is that I go right out of my way to come to Durkar Fisheries just because I love the taste of the fish and the staff have always been super friendly when I have had the pleasure of attending and having food there. The fish shop has its own parking which is located around the back and there are always plenty of spaces making nipping in for your fish and chips really easy. They don't charge the earth either, which is another great quality of tjis fish shop. Anyway, you won't go far wrong eating here, I fed a family of 5 for less than £20 not that they all had fish and chips like, some had battered sausage.

Very large fish, chips were fluffy and not over cooked or re heated/rubbery. Scraps/bits in a seperate bag...very reasonable prices. You can ri g ahead and place orders too.

Don’t know what the fish n chips are like but the way I just got snapped at on the phone for asking if they employ shows a huge lacking in customer service. Jeez shove ur job where the sun don’t shine n I know what local chippy not to use 🖕🏻

This was the best chippy in wakefield when I was a kid some 40+ Years ago now it's got to be one of the worst.Young lady serving was very polite a talkative but that's where the good thing stops ,I pass regular and sometimes see a small que and i think oh they must be better than when I last went 8 months ago maybe I'll give em ago what a mistake I made.I don't know if the owner ever tastes what she sells ?If she doesn't I suggest she ought to I am very surprised it's still in business with the food this bad.HORRIBLE.

Very good food and the staff are wonderful

Tasty moist fish with crispy batter, large helping. Take out or eat in, tables with tablecloths. Toilet facility and car parking to side of building. Definitely our favourite.

The fish and chips for tea tasty ,used this shop on and off for years always been very enjoyable car park available, even got indoor cafeteria with toilets if in the area try it out you won't be disappointed

This is a great fish shop, the staff are friendly, always chat with you and make suggestions on food, I went for the large fish and chips with mushy peas, the lady was quite shocked it just for me saying "most people will buy it for the family" so I expected a big fish and I wasn't disappointed, it was huge and very thick, the meat was pure white a tremendous piece of fish.Plenty of chips and the peas were excellent, everything was hot and with the breadcake I knew I had been fed.Will return here for sure.
