Literally the best fish n chip shop in the uk…. Bar none. Fish and chips across the country taste like poor cousins to places like these.

Love this chippy, batter is light and crispy the fish tastes fresh and succulent would recommend to anybody. Takes card payment which is always a bonus :) xx

My husband and I love a chippy tea, you can’t beat king fry. We have been to many fish and chip shops over the years and this is by far the nicest. John the owner is a friendly chap and my kids love going in as he makes it a fun place to be. Big portions and everything tastes wonderful. Our only criticism would be that they don’t do gravy which my husband would have on anything.

Excellent Fish and Chips with friendly staff and the owner John always makes you welcome. Their Haddock specials are a proper treat.

I quite simply loved these fish and chips, yes a little bit greasy but the great taste more than made up for that. Chunky white fillet without one of that horrible skinny fishy tail bits.. Well done King Fry! See you again

Not visited for a while was always the best fish shop in Normanton, sadly a bit of a let down today, batter looked crispy but was quite soggy underneath and some of the chips were still hard in the centre. Mushy peas good as always and very good portion size. It may have been that the shop had just opened so we will try again

Brilliant fish and chips.staff good too. Parking just outside the door on road. Open most tea times and Friday dinner. All the family enjoy King fisheries.

Friendly place to get a good old fashioned Fish n Chip dinner with no frills but there extras if you want them.

This is a lovely village fish and chip shop. The fish and chips are up with the best and a fraction of the cost at many in our city. The owner John is always friendly and having the banter with is lovely staff. Give them a go you won't be disappointed.

The staff are friendly. The fish is delicious white flakes of fish. Kids had fish cakes. All in all we had a lovely lunch.

Best one in area we have tried a few others when out and about but always regret going elsewhere. Parking easy outside, everytime we been fish always seems cooked to order so you know it is fresh and not been stood

I've had special and chips 2 tea times on trot , and enjoyed them best round this area by far, but I've only give 3 stars because of size of portions woman serving needs to let her hand slip a bit she's really tight , and reviews I had read from a year or 2 back saying how big portions was I was surprised, also the size of the special is small no bigger than a normal fish , and half lovely fish, and half tail end, if they alter these things there would be no beating them

Mejor pescado y patatas fritas en la zona. Sin entrar en mi coche y aquí en vez de caminar a la vuelta de la esquina a mi local "fish and chips". El pescado es blanco, las patatas fritas y precario son para morirse y restos siempre están disponibles. No me asusto con sus raciones. Tienes que probarlo! !

Probamos el pescado y las patatas fritas desde aquí unas cuantas veces. Por desgracia para mí como me encanta buen pescado y patatas fritas, tengo que viajar más lejos para conseguir más decentes. Cada vez que he tenido ellos han sido realmente grasienta, las fichas todos se pegaban y poco hecha. El pescado es aceptable y el tamaño de las porciones generosas.

Great fish and chips.. Fish are a nice size and you only need one bag of chips between two.. The fish cakes are the best I have ever had.. All the usual sides are available, curry, peas etc best chippie around..

If you want good old fashioned fish and chips look no further than the king fry there always cooked fresh for you with comical bar staff who always like a laugh and a joke with their customers.

This has been our local fish shop for years and is great value for money, the portions are big (only need to get one chips for two people) the fish is cooked beautifully. Opening times could be better, but overall a great fish shop.
