Great food as usual. Good the see the Sunday Buffet returning, spicy prawn soup is my favorite dish. Staff all very polite and see your drinks are served promptly.

Gordon Ramsey would drop dead if he ate or even saw the monstrosity on the plate it was soaked in grease the crackers taste like something died on them the meat has a weird aftertaste and the veg was too soft but some of it was also too hard The outside of the building was just a extreme red flag mossed my appetite walking to the building the only good thing about this experience was the staff were decent people and nice but that’s it . decor is tacky

Friday was our third visit to Malagor and we've always had a wonderful time. The staff are attentive, friendly and super organised. The tables are well spread out so you don't feel cramped. The food is gorgeous, freshly made and beautifully presented every time. This evening I had the tempura prawns as starter and crispy seabass as main. Both cooked to perfection with delicious accompaniments. A fabulous way to start the weekend.

Says that it is open on Sunday at lunchtime, it isnt. I have seen their reply and I will alter my original review as they now tell me that they are open. On Google it says they are open 12-8:30pm so I drove there, I was was sat in their car park at 2:20pm when I called as it looked closed and was told the kitchen was closed until 5pm. Due to their rude response I don't think I'll be visiting any time soon.

Despite advertising on here and on Google that they are open Sunday from 12-8:30pm (Google) and 12-9pm on here they are not. I travelled to the restaurant and called at 2:20pm to order a takeaway (I was sat in the carpark) only to be told that the kitchen was closed until 5pm. When I offered this as a review on Google I received a very unprofessional reply from the restaurant. If this is an indication of how they treat people I will give this place a miss.

Excellent food, only issue was not all meals in party (party of 4) turning up at same time, but on the plus side all food very good, and excellent service

The restaurant has lot of parking outside and is a large, grandly-decorated venue to enjoy some good Thai food, as well as tasty quality drinks. It looked a great place for parties/groups to dine in and they have a pretty terrace for when it’s warmer, to enjoy dining Al Fresco. When I arrived just after opening time on a Saturday I was the first in the building! Unfortunately it didn’t get much busier on our visit, with other another party of about 6 people attending lunch time. Even though it wasn’t busy, service was a tad slow at times, but apart from that we couldn’t fault our visit. We all opted for the Thai Tapas Weekend Lunch offering; 3 mini Thai dishes and a side for £9.95. This is a real bargain as we were all satisfying full – great value for money. I went with; Chicken Satay – yummy but I would have liked more peanut sauce without asking for extra as it was fairly dry Duck Spring Rolls – crispy and tasty Sweetcorn Cakes – a popular choice as we all went with these and they were delicious! Soft Noodles – my favourite and these were cooked with a little egg & spring onion and were so good, especially mixed with the sweet spicy dip the dish came with. I ate just about every last bit and washed it down with a virgin Mojito – YUM YUM!

I’ve eaten here before and really enjoyed the freshly prepared and varied dishes. But I have to say it was really disappointing this time. We ordered the banquet for two (not cheap) the first course was OK, though nothing special, but the mains were dreadful. The food wasn’t hot enough. Meat dishes were overcooked. Stir fried vegetables felt like they’d been reheated. Nothing seemed freshly prepared. It really seemed like a second rate take away, not a restaurant quality experience. We didn’t order a dessert.

Very disappointed. The restaurant was cold & remained cold. Turn on or turn up the heating! Our table was in a draft. The staff were attentive & friendly. The decor is nice. I did not like the background music. I prefer authentic music. It was more pop/disco. The food was not the best thai I've had and underwhelmed really. We used to go regularly & feel that it is not as good since it changed hands.

Poor service, food is good but we went in tonight to be told by the young girl server to sit at the bar and she would check if there’s seating upstairs. 15 minutes later still sat at the bar and see her chatting to one of the other staff, had clearly forgotten about us. Took the gentleman at the bar to remind her, came back over to say I don’t know when a table will be available, no apology for forgetting about us. Won’t go back in again, takes 5 seconds to check if there’s a table.

First time here and a really enjoyable meal. We had the banquet for two, really good choice and had the left overs boxed up to take home. Nicely laid out and nice space between the tables. Car parking available. Would definitely recommend.

Over priced, poor service, cold food, wrong order, not suitable for Coeliac's. I was so disappointed that this place hadn't lived up to my expectations. We visited on a Saturday night and it was really busy so expectations where high. We had to ask for more drinks, our order came out wrong, a lot of the food was cold and we sent it back, they definitely aren't gluten free it's says so on their menu. We even had to chase them for the bill. The food was quite flavourless, except for the pile of chilli's on top. I risked the soup which was full of sliced lemongrass so it was like getting a mouth full of tree bark. Poor overpriced, don't waste your money.

If I’m honest, I’m not a lover of Thai food. In fact, I hate it. I had vommed on my previous Thai experiences. But I really like this place, the staff are friendly, the food is good and the ambiance is ****ing special. Glad I gave it a try and had an open mind.

We regularly visit Malagor or get takeaway. Food is always delicious and well presented. Love the starters especially. Great service too.

Always a great meal! Lots to choose from and there is a kids menu which has smaller dishes. My little boy had chicken satay and egg fried price and a chocolate brownie for pud! Great decor, friendly staff

I've been here several times. I love the massaman here. The wife had the weeping tiger steak as this is great. I tried something different and went for the tamarind duck, which was juicey and tender but had a sweet and crispy coating. I think it needed something else to cut through the sweetness like some rice or chips.

Dint feel the meal was enough for me and the food itself didn't have enough flavour for me. Service was ok. The lighting is a little weird for me and felt a little dark and struggled to read the menu . The car park is horrendous and people just abandon their car so if driving be carful where you park.

From start to beginning our experience at Malagar was more than the rating we could give them.The staff at the restaurant offered five star service, including the two ladies that were our waitresses, nothing was too much trouble and they made our experience even more so.We have eaten in many restraunts all over the world, but this is one of the best restraunts we have eaten in for the staff, food and surroundings!As it was my special Birthday they made it even more memorable for myself and family! Even though they had closed(which we were unaware of) they didn’t rush us away!! A must place for anyone to go to and we will be visiting again!! You must go as then you will appreciate our review!!

Just OK, but I am a picky eater and expect something better than what I could cook at home.. Steak salad starter had a lovely flavoursome accompanying broth that was across the dish, but the cut of what was supposed to be sirloin was full of fat, not rendered, and some of the sliced-up steak was 70%+ fat.. so I had to leave about one third of the meat.. The cut or choices made by the chef on the steak, just felt lazy. I then had the Khao Son (I think that was its name) coconut curry soup for the main, which wasn't a soup, tasted a bit bland, and was more just a chicken satay with some noodles.. Nice place though and okay service, just could be better...

Great service and the food was not only great, but the portions very generous.

Upon arrival the car park was small and busy, we expected it to be very busy but when we went inside it was quiet. The decor was dark and unpleasant. The table settings were nice and the chair was comfortable but on the booth I don’t believe the cushions were necessary. The drinks we ordered came very quickly and the homemade lemonade was delicious (£4.50). This review is of Banquet B- Our starter came and was to a very high standard, presentation was wonderful and at first sight my expectations were high. We didn’t need to wait long between starter and main courses which I do like when I visit a restaurant, the waiter explained everything as it was placed on the table. So, we ate and found that the beef was a little chewy, as we had finished our mains and the waiter came to clear the table we explained our problem and the response we got shocked us, “that’s a shame” this was the response we got. Just a warning, the prices on the menus online are different to the prices at the restaurant. Not by much only £3 but when we mentioned this to staff they didn’t seem aware. The experience from the waiter, she was very quiet and sometimes hard to hear. When we came to the end of our of our meal we did ask for the bill to be split and as requested the bill was spilt and we was offered 2 receipts. Overall, the presentation was good. Food was average, drinks were nice but pricey. We did enjoy our time there but unfortunately we don’t think we would return to Malagor.

Food quality was poor could have cooked better from home. Tempura king prawns weren’t tempura king prawns more like something out of a frozen packet. Chicken and broccoli in oyster sauce had no taste, broccoli was not fresh. Top prices and poor quality food . I would not recommend. At no point were we asked how the food was I think the waiters already knew.

satay starter was pleasant. Not quite sure why the toast was included. 39. Gai Yang - Grilled Chicken, was a very tender half chicken with what was essentially a chicken rub that was slightly slippery. It came o huge board with a supermarket packet salad and lovely sauce in a small pt and sticky rice. All very boring. My partner had the chilli chicken which had all the makings of a decent take away. Paid for separate rice. He said it was ok. It tasted ok. All in all it was underwhelming. The chilli chicken was not very large. My husband ate some of my chicken. I came home hungry. Over priced. Staff were ok

We had a great time at Malagor with friends on a busy Saturday evening. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived a little early for our 7.45pm booking so we sat in the bar and had a drink whilst we looked at the menus. We were seated in a nice window table. The starters arrived promptly, satay chicken, ribs, mixed satay and the grilled pork. All the starters were really nice and quite filling. For main both couples had the weeping tiger and the chicken stir fry chilli basil. I was a little disappointed with the weeping tiger. We had asked for one medium rare and one medium well done. There was hardly any difference and the meat was completely pink, almost red throughout. I only just ended up having the ends which were a bit more well done. My partner didn’t complain as he had nearly all of it! Also not sure what is Thai about a big battered onion ring but it was nice all the same. The chicken was really good. So spicy, a little too much for my friend! All the rices and sauces were also excellent. Drink are quite reasonably I feel. A bottle of rose was £20.95 and the two for £12 cocktails were also good. We enjoyed a few of these on the outside terrace after our meal where the heavens well and truly opened! For a while it was like being in Thailand and it still warm enough to sit out. Shame there isn’t a bit more in the area to go for drinks but it was an enjoyable night and I’d be happy to return.

Thoroughly recommend the lunches. Slightly reduced menu choice but usual excellent food, service - and wine.

The food came out together as we requested very quickly, however went cold quite quickly. The waitress swapped it all for us even though we only asked for them to heat the food up a bit. Excellent service!

Visited yesterday for my sons birthday, there was 9 of us, the service was great, friendly staff, and they were accommodating of a few changes to the kids meals. The food was delicious. Highly recommend

We had a spot on meal with lits of small plates and medium sized plates with lota of different dishes. And the best bit... having been to Thailand I can assure you the flavours are spot on. 👌

Bought two starter meals for around £6 each, chicken skewers and bbq ribs. The portion sizes were disgusting really for the prices, as well as the actual meat on them. I received 5-6 ribs with 3/4 of it just being bone, with one of them literally just a bone with NO meat on it at all. Very disappointing, will not be coming back.

Visited last night a party of 6 of us. I've not visited since it was a pub years ago. As others have said there is a smell in the foyer as you walk in, this disappears once you enter the restaurant. Lovely inside, plenty of room. Excellent service from attentive staff. Food really good and cooked to taste. They made 3 dishes milder for some in our party. Worth a visit.

Never on time for take out orders, 3/3 times waiting more than 20+ mins after it was meant to be ready.

Very tasty food good menu choices very pleasant staff would definitely recommend trying we have been twice in a very short space of time we like it very much!! Also a good choice of different alcoholic beverages to choose from if you fancy a drink they had a good selection of gins which was good!

We have been going to Malagor for years now , only 1 bad experience before with dry satay sticks every other time was okay , this time I ordered a takeaway meal , with Tempura prawns as a starter , they were awful the batter was shrivelled and prawns dry , i took them back and lovely lady behind counter agreed they dont look right and offered a refund , but the chef first said it was because of the steam in takeaway box and then said we put some sauce (that they provided) on , which is ridiculous , anyway the lady said she would show the manager and get back to us , unfortunately zero courtesy of a simple phone call to a loyal customer .. absolutely disgusted

Came here for a Christmas do (in Jan yes) large table of a Sunday night, the food was good, the service was ok with dishes coming out at separate times however understandable due to the size of the table.

Dined here last night and found the food delicious,authentic and generous in portion. Could not fault! The staff were obliging, friendly and knowledgeable and offered a very personal service in tune with our dining requirements. One area for improvement however is the restaurant ambience. The restaurant is too brightly lit and the choice of music questionable.;Tina Turner’s “Simply The Best’, tracks by George Michael and similarly themed music is really not conducive to creating an authentic Thai dining experience! Sort these issues out and you will be up there with the best !

Extremely poor. Most of the food was clearly frozen resulting in the fish Cakes being las chewy as toffee.The beef dish order came out as chicken, previously frozen and was fit for the dog.staff creating a noise taking down Christmas decorations which was rude when they are working around you. Avoid at all cost. Utter garbage, frozen poor quality food, not cheap and poor service

Went Sunday lunch time. What a treat. Nice restaurant, very nice friendly staff and extremely nice tasty Thai cuisine and very nicely presented. There was nothing too dislike. So pleased we went, it’s nice to find such a gem.

Not bad Thai food. Prices are really reasonable. I ordered a dish from the menu with 3 chillies next to it. Expecting it to be Thailand hot. But it wasn't half of what I've had before. But I realise they've got to cater for all palates.

Well, we got there 30mins early and got seated straight away . Very promp with drink orders. We went for a banquet meal plus a few extras(my partner an i are gready gets😁) And was pleasantly surprised on portion size, so much so we fetched some home. Would deffinately reccomend and will be visiting again soon. Service was exceptional.

We had takeaway from here during lockdown and the food was amazing. Our first visit to eat inside and we weren't disappointed either. We will return as the choice of menu means we have to.
