No complaints with the food but order was wrong, despite me asking them to double check it as I thought it was missing something! It’s not hard to get it right surely? ALWAYS check the order

We travel from the other side of Mirfield every Sunday just to come here as grandkids always ask to come, We get the 2 fish and chips which comes with a lemon selection of mixed bread and a cup of tea and 2 free kids meal fish and chips and it is amazing portions for the price of the meal however did used to be £23:00 then £28:00 and now £30:00 but absolutely worth it. The only fish shop i would buy fish from due to finding bones in other places, so lush and absolutely gorgeous inside always fills the kids up and we always leave with a smile on our face and kids leave with some Haribo's in hands. Amazing experiences will be coming next Sunday again! Could rate it 2 million if i could. Out of this world and Outstanding service

We travel from the other side of Wakefield and pass numerous other fish shops . We have come here at least twice a month for years and it is the the best fish & chip restaurant in area. The staff are very polite & always friendly especially Lisa. Take no notice of the bad reviews if you want the best quality fish & chips then this is the place to come. Oh and by the way if you want more bread you only have to ask we have done this on the odd occasion. No charge.

What an absolute disaster of a dining experience. Honestly, giving this place even one star feels generous. I came during the Easter holidays and the food was genuinely terrible, and the service? Appalling doesn't even begin to cover it, it was like they didn’t even care. I left feeling completely disregarded and frankly, quite upset. Save your money and steer clear of this place.

My recent visit here was nothing short of a nightmare. The service was beyond atrocious – think rude, inattentive, and utterly clueless. And the way I was treated? Absolutely horrific. I felt unwelcome from the moment I walked in until the second I left. The food was appalling and one of the worst fish and chips I have had. Absolute shambles. Do yourself a massive favour and eat anywhere else.

Expensive chippy. Stale chips. Portion was tiny. Didn’t even bother eating it, was so annoyed i just threw them in the bin. Won’t be back again, plenty of other good chippys in Wakefield. Waste of money.

Fell upon this fish and chips restaurant, and had a regular fish and chips with a cup of yorkshire tea. It was very nice and not over facing. Hope to come again when over this side of the pennines with living in Manchester.

This shop had been getting good ratings so tried and not disappointed, quick takeaway service, meal was excellent chips and fish batter was not greasy or oily but dry and crispy, large tub of mushy peas and tasted good. Didn't try restraunt but looked nice and was busy. Highly recommended!

Ate at Queens Drive Fisheries today. Firstly great wheelchair access. Easy to be seated. The restaurant was lovely great decor, and spotless. Staff were brilliant. The food was delicious. Especially the Irish curry sauce. Everyone had clean plates. The restroom was also spotless. Impossible to fault. Will be back.

Went here for a lunch around 1pm. Place was about half full so we were allowed to choose our own table. Decor was very pleasant and furniture was fine. A good atmosphere. Staff were very nice and came to take our order promptly - we both opted for the regular haddock and chips with peas on one and curry sauce on the other. Tea/coffee and bread and butter are included in the price - but here's a little negative. When paying £33 for 2 meals (including £2.40 a throw for the extras of pease and curry) surely they could offer more than 1 slice each of a very thin ordinary bread? There was enough butter to spread on half a loaf so that was ok but come on guys - bread is cheap enough to offer at least 2 slices each. The food was fantastic - very hot, well cooked and well presented - and came after a small wait. The fish was lovely and flakey so obviously good quality and there were plenty of chips. Overall a great dining experience with very friendly and helpful staff.

Ordered a regular haddock. Was asked if I wanted chips with it. I said no can I have one potato scallop please. When I got my fish the potato scallop had not been ordered and once my fish was ready and paid for was advised that they didn't have any scallops available 😪

Staff had a flexible approach to requests - I chose haddock with salad, rather than chips, and there was no problem ordering de-caf tea and brown bread rather than white. My Haddock was chewy and so I think it must have been over cooked. I didn't complain as I was with friends who's meals were fine. Decor lovely Staff helpful and friendly

Everything here is cooked to order. Top quality and piping hot. There are pensioners special's as well as kids meals too on the menu. Well worth a visit at anytime.

First chippy in Wakefield and we came across this one, the chippy it's self is well furnished and high grade. The service we received was pleasant and happy to see us. Got a battered sausage chips and curry sauce, my mate got the same but plain sausage... the chips were soft and soggy how we like them and the curry sauce hit different! Very nice. The battered sausage had a thin crispy layer of batter. It's safe to say if I ever find myself in Wakefield again I shall have to visit this chippy.

First time visiting for takeaway and the restaurant looked very busy, but they managed managed restaurant and takeaway order's very well. The staff we're very friendly and the fish and chips we're excellent, the best fish and chips in ossett 10 out of 10.

Awesome family favourite Fish & Chips

Visited on Monday (21/10/24) with Yorkshire Rose Holidays Coach company. We were finishing our day out with fish and chips. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome, Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, I was able to have sausage instead of Fish. We also had bread and butter. Option of mushy peas, curry sauce and gravy.there was also a choice of pudding, jam sponge and custard, again I was able to have ice cream instead. A special mention to Leanne, Leanne really looked after us went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and will visit again. 10 out of 10.

It's ages since we last visited and it's been decorated with a modern stylish interior. I needed a bit of space so we took a table for 4, and the staff were fine with that. Seating was very comfortable, it was popular and getting busy as we waited for our food. The staff were chatty, polite and friendly. A traditional tea-room type of service. We both had the large haddock fillet, and I pigged out on a portion of mushy peas. The food was nicely presented and tasted fantastic. The fish just fell off in flakes. Lovely. We were both stuffed full and there would have been ample food if we had each ordered the regular haddock.

Visited today for my dad’s birthday. The restaurant is clean and modern, the staff are friendly and the food delicious! Excellent service! Even went out of their way to sing happy birthday to my dad, which made his day! We will definitely be back.

How can the takeaway and restaurant differ so much when you use the exact same fryers? The restaurant is top quality. Staff lovely. Food excellent. You may have updated your takeaway but the food served does not reflect this! I have never had such slow service. We even tried ordering & collection; this was even worse - when we took the food home it’s was terrible. Sorry for such a negative review we just can’t believe how you could have got this so wrong From a takeaway perspective we would definitely not recommend which is a shame as these used to be the best fish & chips

Go here now and again for takeaway. Food is usually good. Last time we were there service was shocking, we along with few others waited ages for our food whilst the 2 chaps behind the counter seemed to spend more time chatting to each other and disappearing elsewhere. It has put me off going as I could have gone home and cooked if I had known it would have taken so long. Whilst another persons order was being done it was covered in salt that wasnt asked for. She decided not to complain, but for me I wouldn't have been able to eat it.

Fantastic food as always, the attitude of the girl on the counter wasn't good at all though.

This is second time my fish has been under cooked ! also not just one fillet they stick odd bits of fish on to the fillet ! and theses bits of fish look and taste odd !

Truly superb Fish and chips. I took my Aunt here for a belated 90th birthday meal. Far better than we get down South.

It was very quiet when I went with my 2 grandchildren. Food and service was lovely. I got a shock how much j2Os were £3.50 each. The kids will have the fruit shoots that are included in the kids meal deal next time we go lol. It will not stop us going again tho. It's one of my favourite places to go.

Great little fish and chips restaurant/takeaway. Well furnished restaurant with comfortable seating, well decorated and clean environment. Friendly attentive and efficient staff with excellent service throughout. Ordering was a breeze and the order came to the table in a timely manner but not too rushed and clearly cooked to order. The chips were very good, nice colour big chips not too many ends and the piece of fish was a good size, well cooked with crispy batter, no soggy batter here. The mushy peas probably some of the best texture, consistency and flavour I’ve ever had, they were right up there. All in all a very pleasurable experience and would definitely recommend and will be back for more.

Just been for my lunch Queens Drive Fish Shop beautiful fish and chips with good old tea bread and butter. Went on my own but didnt feel out of place as staff were so nice a really good atmosphere.They have OAP rates great if you dont want to cook. Recommend it to anyone.

Best fish and chips we have ever eaten.The food is beautiful. It is well presented and excellent value for money.We finished off with ice cream which was lovely. The restaurant is super clean and nicely set out, and the toilets are small but very hygienic. It is well worth a visit for a satisfying meal. We will be going again.

We visited on Easter Monday at lunch time for a family meal so we were a group of 10. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently by a very friendly waitress and it wasn't long before our food arrived. We all agreed it was first class especially the haddock which tasted very fresh. Two of us had the pensioner's special which is very good value for money and the portions are large too. Can't fault this place.

I ordered large battered sausage and chips and peas. Although the food tasted nice the portion size of the chips was very small. Served in a cardboard box they also put the carton of peas inside the box with the battered sausage further reducing the space in the carton for the chips. It would be nice to see your take away give a bigger portion of chips as compared to other local chippies yours is the smallest and not worth the money. Cant fault the taste of the chips, sausage and peas just your portion size of the chips that were a let down. :(

Can not fault the quality of the food. But the service in the takeaway is rubbish. I understand you want fresh food, but on a Saturday lunch you are going to be busy so really no need to cook on demand. I have worked in a fish and chip shop so do understand how it works, but waiting 15 mins for fish and chips is really not good. Other people in the queue were getting fed up with the waiting time. It is easy to solve, just make sure 6 fish are cooked at lunch times and you will solve the problem. But again I have to say the food is delicious, but the wait time is not good.

Today I used the delivery service for the first time and order haddock and chips and one portion of haddock. The fish was very tasty and crisp but unfortunately the portion of chips was very sparse

I live quite near this place and quite fancied fish and chips for a change. I tried ordering on the phone because was advised to do this before - they no longer do pies - although no notification of this anywhere. Rubbish customer service and long waiting times. Whilst they may be busy they should make the queuing system better. Won't be going again for a while - although the food was nice when I eventually got it. Been dissapointed too many times.
