Having just watched Bargain Brits by the sea and specifically the ice cream parlour, we had to visit Alzonis and sample the wares. We had the mango and passion fruit twist and strawberry twist. Delicious, huge and great value. Plus the girls serving at the counter are lovely. Sat at the tables outside in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The homemade spiced parsnip soup was delicious! Scampi and lasagne very well presented and a real homely feel to the food…thank you Jade for the wonderful hospitality- I shall definitely try this soup recipe at home…thank you chef!!

My husband and his mum and myself went to Spencers for lunch yesterday and came away disappointed. The husband has an allergy to mayo and it seemed like a real struggle to order something without but eventually agreed on a ham sandwich. The other orders were a cheese and ham toasted sandwich and a chilli chicken panini. After what seemed like ages I asked about our food and was told they had ran out of chicken so they were cooking it fresh. If would have really helped if they had told us this and we could have either changed our order or understood why we were waiting so long. When the food arrived, the presentation was good but the ham sandwich was very dry and the cheese and have toasted sandwich was a panini. The chilli chicken was nice. We didn't say anything at this point because we felt it would fall on deaf ears. I always try and use small independent businesses when I'm out and about but in this case it wasn't the best choice. This cafe could be a lovely with a few tweaks and better staff knowledge of the menu and communication. This was the mother in laws second visit and she lives in Scarborough and won't be returning any time soon. Please take this review as constructive feedback.

Went here on a whim and so glad we did! The food was so nice and such generous portions to the point we had to take the rest to go. Staff were very friendly and attentive, would say it’s one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to and will definitely be coming back.

This is now called Falsgrave fisheries , when it first opened it was really nice and since it did open I had regular fish n chips on a Saturday tea time . The quality was brilliant and very enjoyable. My fish and chip order recently was ok but the fish was grey , means been on ice to long , there were some bones in my fish , not expected as it has always been very nice . It is very expensive and not sure if I shall return for a while ….quality has to remain a high standard when charging high prices …..

We decided to stop at Brads for dinner as we could eat in. Ended up being glad we did as it was quite possibly the best fish and chips we have had at Scarborough! Non greasy, piping hot and beautiful chips. Clean, pleasant staff and all round a nice place. Would recommend!

My wife & I walked from Ravenscar to Robin Hoods Bay along the cinder trail & visited the cafe here for some refreshments. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by the staff & placed our order of 2 coffees & 2 pieces of cake. These were quickly delivered. The coffee was very good but the scone was a bit claggy & not the best scone that I have eaten. I wouldn't order a scone again. On leaving we ordered an ice cream each & they were delicious. We didn't have time to visit the exhibition so left that for another time. The place was clean & tidy although the sight of young children putting their dirty shoes on the tables was off putting!
