The best restaurants in Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Not the Luxury hotel it claims to be. Staff were great but the hotel is tired and in need of a little TLC. We went for our 25th anniversary and were upgraded to a suite number 23 on arrival. Our bed was uncomfortable and well beyond its useful life on closer inspection after a bad night's sleep found the mattress to be stained and dirty and there was mould growing in the shower very unhygienic this spoiled what was a quite expensive 2 nights. Can not in all honesty recommend this place at these prices, shame as beautiful setting but overpriced and in need of care.

Lovely, friendly little pub. Staff were helpful and friendly . The food was amazing both breakfast and evening meal. Room was clean and had a lovely sunny aspect.

I took my wife out to this restaurant for her birthday. This is the 3rd time I have visited this restaurant and we have loved the meals everytime. The staff are very pleasant and polite and the service is excellent. The food is cooked perfectly and is very tasty and is always piping hot. The menu has a wide choice to choose from so there is something there for everyone. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be definitely going back as it's gorgeous

Have used this restaurant for takeaways in the past and really enjoyed the food but tonight two out of the three main dishes were bland and flavour free. Would have been a one star review but to be fair the remaining dish was satisfactory. The complimentary salad on the other hand was brown and in edible. Prices have gone up and quality down, just not worth the money any more. Real shame.

A good Guinness and Very cheap surprised for a goth week end

Absolutely brilliant. Loved it! Excellent options on draft. A home away from home. As Authentic as you're going to get without a flight.

I like to support the nymr but on this occasion the food was very dissapointing. Stale dry cheese scone and an equaly sad fruit scone.

Fish chips and mushy peas. I scraped the fish out of the batter and ate it out of respect for the fish, the rest went in the bin. Soggy and swimming in grease, I’m sorry to say that this is the worst chippy takeaway I’ve ever had.

A gem of a cocktail bar in Whitby. You get what you pay for so expect a higher bill than the more regular bars and pubs in the area. Relaxed and friendly service. This is not the place for a hit and run pint.

Lovely local, very relaxing and 1st class barmaid. Gave me a glass after a discussion on it's origin. Will toast her and your bar with a tia maria on New Years Eve.

Amazing greek style food. Worth a try. The only place I could find in Scarborough that sells chicken gyros wraps.
