Great cakes and bread to eat in or take away. Dogs are allowed inside. We had a good lunch. It was very busy, because the food is very good.

love millie’s cookies, especially the cookie shakes which appear to be very popular there. they’re usually my go-to. the staff there are also very polite and friendly to talk to would definitely recommend

Early walk up to the Pier & on the way back was tempted to stop in for breakfast. Smart, stylish & clean, inside is bright & there's a perfect bay window with easy chairs from which to people watch the harbour. The team were welcoming, friendly, & super helpful. Massively tempting range of freshly baked pastries & pasties. Can definitely recommend the Salted caramel croissant with a double espresso. It's true there are no customer toilets, but come on people the public loos on Pier Road are only 100 yards away.

Opening times laughable in the height of the season. At 945am still not ready to serve though they are supposed to open at 9. Stood at the counter for 5 mins and was deliberately ignored by two staff gossiping. Rather tarnished our view of Filey. Great though that the owners don't need the business.

Insulting to veterans and lifeboatmen. I won't mention those who have believed in false statements and allegations regarding my name and service.

Friendly staff volunteers, clean and nice food, inexpensive charity cafe where you can also get a hot meal

Much more than a tea shop. Try, I don’t think you will be disappointed. In the middle of town with virtually no traffic.

We have been frequent visitors to Scarborough over the years, but this was the first time we had been to this lovely cafe. We visited twice during our stay, the first time choosing the meat pie and the second time the roast beef. The food was beautifully cooked, and came with proper potatoes and proper northern English vegetables! Just like our mothers used to make - which may not be to everyone's taste but certainly was to ours! The trifle and bread and butter pudding were perfect, and so was the proper northern English tea we finished off with. We would highly recommend this cafe to anyone who loves a proper northern English meal - did I use those words before!? The establishment is family-run and the people are some of the friendliest we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We will certainly be going back again.

Plaxton Court Restaurant is open to non Residents for lunch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm. My wife and I eat at the restaurant most days. If you wish to dine on Sundays booking a table is strongly recommended as it always very busy. There is always a choice including vegetarian and dietary requirements. All food is fresh cooked and daily specials. Free car parking, staff friendly you will not be disappointed. Cost of meals not wallet busting and excellent value. Be prepared to be surprised. Small meals are available if required.

Although short staffed, and operating a limited menu, we had great service and food and highly recommend.
