Bar 7 in Scarborough

Fabulous hidden gem in Whitby. Our second visit here, wonderful cocktails served with the best views. Super friendly Staff and beautifully decorated interior. 100% recommend for food, &drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Probably the cleanest bathrooms in Whitby!!! 😊

Hidden gem of a bar. Visited twice with friends during our weekend stay. The first evening we were greeted by 2 barman who were really attentive, friendly & very knowledgeable with regards to cocktails. We had a window table with views across the town to the Abbey. Definite highlight of the trip!

Very friendly staff. We visited during the week commencing 20/7/20. Excellent social distancing precautions and sensible track and trace system. Well done. The food was excellent too!!!

Go upstairs and sit by a window if you want a view and a quieter meal than the usual Scarborough noise. Nice ambiance with excellent food and service. There is a good selection on the menu but we were too full to have a dessert! The wines and beers are also good.

Not the sort of place you normally find on the harbour front as a bar, but it was a treat and a worthy place for alcohol but this time cocktails, good staff, well worth a visit.

Visitamos el sábado por la noche con mi amigo durante las vacaciones, pasamos una noche estupenda! El personal es tan amable e incluso hizo mi amigo cócteles que no estaban en el menú! Tuve el pisco (6 de Ameretto) y mi amigo tenía un Martini un mojito y muchos más! Estábamos realmente muy cuidado y voy a llevar a mi padre en la noche de la mañana para beber un descarado:) me han Puesto unas fotos! Gracias de nuevo Denise y Sarah (Stockport) xxx

Entró en el bar 7 última semana como parte de mis amigos de despedida. Realmente impresionado con cada aspecto de bar 7. Los cócteles eran excelentes, muy sabroso y con muy buena relación calidad-precio, con el 2 por 10 libras. (sin duda abastecido! )barman era realmente amable y servicial, con una broma constantemente con nosotros detrás de la barra y hacer un montón de bebidas en un espacio muy corto de tiempo. Como estábamos un grupo grande tuvimos que cambiar algunas de las mesas, un bar diferente que podría haber objetado, pero no había problema, y nos permitió a todos sentarse juntos como grupo, lo que hace un diferencia a la noche.El propietario felizmente jugado nuestras peticiones en el sistema de música, incluyendo una petición "especiales" para la novia a ser, lo que realmente apreciamos! !En general, la flexibilidad y la buena actitud de talante de los empleados y el propietario noche excepcional. Sin duda lo recomiendo.Para el propietario y el personal: Espero que no dejar demasiadas sparkles para limpiar, y gracias por una noche:)

Mi amigo y yo fuimos las dos noches que nos alojamos en Whitby y fue genial. 2 por £10 cócteles hasta 9. 30:00, buena música, personal amable y hasta ajustar las bebidas ligeramente para usted. . . Yo recomiendo la frambuesa daiquiri. También tenga en cuenta, el hombre del bar nos dijo que sólo estaba abierto los viernes y sábados.

Best cocktails I have had ...year on year the cocktails never fail to hit the mark. Excellent barman! Thoroughly recommend going there. See you new years eve!

La ciudad de vacaciones de verano estaba abarrotada, dieron una mesa bastante rápido y el servicio era bueno. Todos tuvimos pescado y patatas fritas. El bateador era fresco pero muy gruesas (creo que el inglés prefiere) Pescado era bonito, pero era caro y cebollas en escabeche (no merecen una pasada 3.5 calificación promedio dura, pero no sonidos dignos de una muy buena).

we visit here every goth weekend and it is always packed. theres a good atmosphere but the cocktails are pricey so just have the one! not good for entering if you're not good on your feet though as its up a flight of spiral stairs

Llamado para n cena, y pidieron a llevar nuestro asiento en el seleccionado mesa, el barman dijo que iba con nosotros en unos pocos minutos, ya que él tenía algunos cócteles para terminar, sin el llevar sobre el menú y las bebidas, sin problemas, así que pensamos. así que esperamos y esperamos y esperamos, a unos 20 minutos, y luego fue, en ese mismo momento tres parejas separadas llegamos y salimos. Bingo, la comida llegamos , muy bueno empezar la entonces pescado vino , enormes porciones y bien preparado y muy sabroso. La cocina ayuda entregaron como claramente la oferta del bar no podía dar abasto. El hombre en otra mesa hartos esperando cubiertos y fuimos a encontrar algunos. Los otros comensales eran claramente conseguir molesto porque sus comidas pedidos no habían sido adoptadas o estaban esperando, y esperando. Gran habitación, bien presentada pero totalmente diabólica servicio, con personal que parece confuso, ya que a quién o qué era necesario ... los propietarios que actuar ahora antes, está demasiado tarde

he estado yendo aquí por unos pocos años. No creo que £7,20 para cócteles adecuados es demasiado caro.y la cerveza y los licores son más barato que la mayoría de los lugares en Whitby! Pero ahora la comida hasta las 8.30 pm. tenía la sopa de marisco seguida por la carne. es excepcional. Siempre que te gusta el pescado. Pero el pescado es lo que hacen bien.

Me gusta este lugar cuando alguien te sientas mejor. Los precios de algunos de los cócteles son un poco exagerado (más como precios de Londres) pero lo hacen cócteles adecuados y sus agradables con una buena vista sobre el puerto. si no tienes un asiento personas constantemente golpear a usted y no hay ningún sitio donde descansar tu bebida. Las empinadas escaleras puede ser un peligro al salir si ha tenido varios cócteles! ir temprano para conseguir un asiento o simplemente entrara a un cóctel extravagante luego cambiar de lugar.

When we first moved to Whitby ten years ago Bar 7 was THE place to go-always buzzing with a great atmosphere. I'm not commenting on the food here but the cocktails which is the reason I have taken visitors and friends. Their cocktails, although expensive...

Really enjoyable location, great decor, good service, drinks a little bit pricey, menu not to our taste. Still worth a visit when in Whitby.

To Whom It May ConcernDear Sir/Madam,Yesterday was a very special day my wife, a friend(John) and I. John and I first met when we joined the Army in 1956, and yesterday was the first time we met again after 57 years. John and his wife live in Malton North Yorkshire, where I me John.After our reunion we came to Whitby for "Fish & Chips". We had lunch at the "Bar 7" Unfortunately Johns wife was unable to be with us on this occasion. However, I can assure you we will all be back another day with John's wife as well. I would wish you to know that staffs who we dealt with were very polite and courteous at all times, and it was a pleasure to be served by such cheerful young pleasant people.

they do very nice cocktails some a bit expensive but a very nice place to have a few drinks. Although i think it does get very busy late on it was a relaxed atmosphere while we was in although a very noisy gang came in and the security sorted their behavior quickly.

More aimed at a younger crowd so good atmosphere. Very skilled barmen making possibly the best cocktail I have had for a while. No good for a peaceful quiet drink but great if you want a change from the more traditional pubs. Would certainly return.

A small but excellently decorated Bisto style establishment overlooking Whitby bay, Bar 7 offers a great variety of beers , cocktails, wines and food. We ate here twice and on each occasion the food was excellent! Put together with the drinks vaiety and excellent service, Bar 7 should not be missed!

We visited Bar 7 with our adult sons and has a cosy atmosphere, the cocktail prices were reasonable and bar is situated overlooking Whitby bay and seems suitable for most age groups.

We popped in here one evening before going for dinner. All the other bars on the front were stuffed full of people and my husband noticed the stairs upto Bar 7. It was great, nice and airy, great lighting and comfy seats and as for the cocktails! My husband said it was the best Margarita he had ever had in a bar and I had a champagne mojita which was fab too. Would recommend.

A great view from this first floor bar. The barman was an artist and produced delicious cocktails after much stirring shaking and pounding!

Great little spot on the first floor with views over the harbour. Unfortunately a thick sea mist means I can't tell you much more about the view. Fantastic selection of cocktails from six to eight pounds each. Fresh ingredients and a very capable barman who knew what he was doing. Clean and contemporary, just wish there was more sofa seating for more of a lounge feel.

Imagine our delight when we came across a bar which did not allow children! We were looking for somewhere to eat a light lunch but everywhere was crowded. We saw this place, which from the outside looks more like a bar (and this is what it becomes of an evening). Very contemporary furnishings, clean, peaceful and tidy. We ordered sandwiches and a drink - coming to around £20. However, I have to say I have never seen so many prawns on a plate! Granted, this is the coast and prawns should be in abundance but even so, the value for money was oustanding. All in all, I would heartily recommend this place for couples and groups. It's a nice change to have a kid free zone, after all, Whitby and the surround coastal towns are geared for children so this is a peaceful oasis for adults.Very good food, very good value and a lovely atmosphere.
