Food was good, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Always an enjoyable breakfast when we visit. Bonus points for having a small area for kids to play, allowing us to mostly eat our meal in peace whilst they play. Great food accompanied by great service from very friendly staff.

We eat here quite frequently as the food is amazing. The staff are fab and make our dining experience perfect. The atmosphere is really nice.

We moved to Scarborough late last year and are always out walking and looking for a coffee break. We decided to give Marisco Lounge another try yesterday after a disappointing visit for coffees previously. We opted for two hot chocolate. That's not what turned up. I'm sorry to say this but they were the worst hot chocolate we've ever had and that's not hyperbole. They were almost cold! Terrible. Normally I would have just taken them back but it was a busy weekend. Tourists will just shrug. Locals won't return. Over £7 for two "hot" chocolates that were barely warm. Not recommended.

Me and my family went here 3 times on our scarborough holiday, and plan to come back again for this restaurant! Absolutely amazing coffee, best we have ever had. Gorgeous cocktails and the food is to die for. All the staff are lovely and service is impeccable. Would highly recommend to anyone who is in Scarborough! Do not miss their coffee especially! I wish I took some photos, but I definitely will next time!

Went for Sunday Breakfast, had a full English which we all enjoyed with a couple of small problems.... Tinned mushrooms (not hot enough and should be banned!), the overall plates seem to have travelled too far from the kitchen so the food was no more than warm.

Really nice restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and great location. We came here for my birthday on 12th March and the staff were lovely, really quick service and attentive. Food was brilliant and good choice on the menu and a good choice of drinks as well. Not too pricey and would highly recommend the Lounge chain!

Paid for 2 meals (curries)that arrived cold. Sent them back, the food, was then microwaved, and returned, they hadn't even checked which plate was which so received each others plate upon return. Will not use again.

Popped in for a coffee and a bacon sandwich. The staff are so friendly . The food was excellent the place was clean and a real good atmosphere and a play area for the younger children which was a nice touch .would definitely come back. I highly recommend it.

Very lovely boho feeling place, relaxing snug corners, large enough tables to gather around in bigger groups, Food is absolutely stunning, great that they are a nut free environment. A relaxing atmosphere and artwork all over looks great. All in all would recommend. Dog friendly, too.

Great restaurant. The service was fantastic, staff were friendly and helpful. The gluten free menu is one of the best we've seen (which is alot of menus!) With loads of choice. Kids menu is fab too. We ate off the tapas menu and every dish was lovely. I can't even pick a favourite 🙈. They even have a small kids area upstairs and downstairs with toys to keep your little ones entertained so you can finish your meal off in peace! We are only visiting Scarborough but if we come back we know where we will be eating!

Called on a Sunday morning, the service was good and the place was clean and nice toilets. What let it down was the breakfast which was basic at best , we have had better for a lot less money. We may return but just have something else

It’s my favourite spot in Scarborough that serves my favourite drink and serves it well. Espresso martini in a friendly clean and fabulously decorated spot with views of the sea and harbour. What is not to love x

Sat outside - server pleasant. Bathroom good. Lamb shawarma was good, a little too much sauce and not enough meat. Fries portion a bit stingy. Realise it’s Dog Friendly… but inside was like an assault course of paws and tails to get to the bar and bathroom! Maybe keep them in one section 🤷‍♂️

This was my first time dining at a "Lounges" restaurant, myself and my children had lunch last Friday here and it was absolutely superb. The staff were excellent, extremely accommodating and courteous and the food was amazing. I had the burger which I have to say, was one of the best burgers I've eaten in a long time, it was really good!. If I had one criticism, and this shouldn't detract from the otherwise superb experience, I have to mention the cheap and nasty looking plastic tomato ketchup bottles which I just don't feel are representative of the style of restaurant the chain is trying so hard to achieve, they belong in a dodgy motorway service station, certainly not in a Lounge bar!!. But that aside, I was extremely impressed and will absolutely return 10/10.

Wow, really pleasantly surprised! Went in expecting average seaside food, instead got really good quality meals with a big selection for both adults and kids. The kids meals were good quality and large portions, the main meals were really nice too. Friendly service and took our food allergies into account. Nice milkshakes too. Would highly recommend.

Loved it ! Spotlessly clean. Popped in for a coffee to shelter from the rain but wished it was time for lunch!! The menu looked amazing. So next time I'll deffo be back to eat. Lots of choice of places to sit & upstairs had great harbour views. Thanks too to the "last of the summer wine" chaps for their lively entertaining chatter on the table next to me.....

We ordered food and drinks, food was good and no issues with the service. They were having a few issues tonight but that didnt effect or experience and they went out of there way to apologise for any inconvenience during our visit.

I can honestly say this food is amazing .we went for lunch on the 10th of February, had a lovely dinner will definitely go again very soon x

Must have walked passed this lots of times and not ventured in. It’s an absolutely lovely cafe, the food looked lovely but we only had coffee and cake which was very nice. Definitely on our radar now for future visits. Staff lovely, polite, attentive and helpful too

Walked in to be ignored after waiting at the “wait here to be seated” sign. Then sarcastic looks from a member of staff as he walked straight past us and stared at the “wait here to be seated” sign, although we had a reservation and the place downstairs was empty. Food was passable, however for the price wouldn’t make me return. Average at best. What wasn’t average was the service, I would at best described it as “absolutely couldn’t be arsed” DRINKS. Go to the bar and order them. FOOD. Go to the bar and order it. PLATES AND CUTLERY. Dumped on the table in one large heap. FOOD. Arrived over a 10 minute time frame Once finished we then had to ask the staff Barry and Phil I think they said their names were to clear the table after 20 minutes of finishing. They then cleared two plates leaving us to clear the rest. They sat at a table chatting and seemed as though they just couldn’t be bothered with the customers. This was after paying before we got the food. I would have not paid full price if the bill came at the end. Thank guys for a shocking experience and a lovely birthday meal with my family. VERDICT. Don’t visit.

Popped in for coffee's and hot chocolate. Lovely coffee bar on Scarborough sea front. A good mixture of seating, comfy settees, bench seating, table and chairs and well decorated. Will definitely be popping in again.

Had a Christmas meal here recently. Really enjoyed it, the food was lovely and I keep thinking about the meal I had and how I'd have it again. The only slight negative was that the set menu price was two courses but only if you had a starter and a main, not if you had a main and a dessert (cost more if you had that) and the alcoholic drinks were quite expensive. But I was impressed that there were multiple vegetarian options for the main meal (and my mushroom pie was excellent) so I would recommend and would go back

We fancied something substantial to eat and noticed that this was dog friendly too. We were welcomed in with our hounds by friendly and cheery staff. The menu is varied and has a taste for just about anyone and is also reasonably priced. We opted for a veggie and meat breakfast which is one of the best I've had in a long time. The food arrived quickly and the breakfast was plentiful and fresh and of a good quality, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant has a lovely friendly feel about it and I will be most definitely return.

Well, where do I start, we go in here mainly so we can take the dogs in. When we went in there were a few tables still clutted with used plates n cups. We asked if we could have a particular table which at first we were refused. We waited whilst the pots were removed but the young lady didn't clean the table. We ordered our meals and the guy who I think has problems with anxiety brought it to our table and spilled all the chips over the table which hadn't been cleaned from the previous customers. He should have taken the meals back but didn't, he did ask if it was OK to put them back on our plates but we felt a bit intimidated by the situation, afterwards we both said we won't use it again. We used to get good food in there but it's never been cheap for what you get. Don't think the quality or quantity is there now and we've had most of the menu at sometime. The guy is very unprofessional and shouldn't be front of house. We will still go in for a coffee but that's it now. My advise to them is look at what you're serving up and the price. We paid nearly £40 for two lunches and two coffees that looked like kids happy meals. Eventually this place will run out of a good customer base.

This place is amazing!! We walked in and was asked whether we needed a tailored menu (vegan etc). There is a little area with toys which kept our daughter entertained whilst we ate. I had the chicken, bacon and avacado salad and it was sssooooo good!!! Also super impressed with the cutlery offered for our little girl, usually it's a kids meal with adult cutlery but it was plastic age appropriate cutlery. Service was super super friendly!!!

One word WOW!!! Popped in today on a whim as it started raining and fancied a birthday treat. We are so happy we did. From the second we walked in we felt comfortable and welcomed, we were greeted by a lovely lady who explained how to order etc. We used the table service via the QR code which was very easy to do. Ordered the tapas and a couple of side dishes and were both blown away with the quality and freshness, everything was spot on. We are in Scarborough for a couple of nights only but already trying to fit in another visit before we head home tomorrow. Excellent friendly service by both members of staff we met, literally the nicest people, exceptional food, very reasonably priced and spotlessly clean, an absolute must when in Scarborough.

We had taken our daughter to Scarborough for her 2nd birthday and she has a milk allergy. We couldn't find anywhere that we could get any alternative milk and she was getting upset. My wife went into this cafe bar and the absolutely lovely lady not only got us some oat milk, but managed to find a take away cup for it as my wife had forgotten to take our daughters cup with her. And she also said it was on her and she hoped our daughter was ok, even though she was very busy at the time.

Just popped in for a drink but had we been looking for food, we would have loved to eat here. Nice bar.

Superb food and service. We had tapas and a burger , great flavours and quality. We had drinks before and thought we would give them a chance food wise and we were pleasantly impressed. Cheers guys

It was a lot brighter and less cosy and romantic than when we were here last year. It was also more like a creche. My wife had the Nasi Goreng which she enjoyed. I went for the Beef Brisket Chilli with spicy rice. I put the rice on top of the chilli and gently mixed the two together. I was enjoying it until the fourth mouthful, when I bit on something hard. I took the offending thing out of my mouth to find that it was a jagged piece of thick, hard plastic, about the size of a fifty pence piece. What it was from or how it got there, is still a mystery. Had it been smaller, I could have swallowed it and possibly choked. When informed, the staff apologised and offered a replacement meal. By the time that this arrived, having been offered to various customers around the restaurant before eventually reaching our table, my wife had finished her meal. I proceeded to chew my replacement chilli slowly and carefully but I couldn't really enjoy it. We both decided to have a dessert but they were lacklustre and disappointing. All in all, £70 down the drain for the worst dinner of the week.

Waited 40 minutes for our food, not very busy at the time and was told about a 30 minutes wait. Which was fine, but was thinking of leaving to go elsewhere. Food was lovely. But the young waitress, was quite rude!! Spoke to the manager he did offer a refund, but did not accept, as the food was lovely.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL! Staff were rude, abrupt and unhelpful, so much so that they made my daughter, who is in her 20s, cry. Staff need to learn some manners and brush up on their alcohol serving law's. There is no excuse for the way we were treated, maybe that is the reason as to why the restaurant was so quiet! Have been to many Lounge restaurants, Marisco has really let the brand name down.

We have eaten at several of these restaurants before (see reviews) and were very pleased to see a new place eat in the chain in Scarborough. Unable to book, we arrived at 8:30pm expecting it to be busy. Thankfully it wasn’t (approximately 10 occupied tables) although we waited several minute to be seated as requested at the door. The ‘manager’ was overly enthusiastic and left us to select a table. Happy to order from the app as we have done before, it was 15 minutes until our drinks were made as the ‘manager’ preceded to take great pleasure in mixing cocktails as families waited at the door but subsequently left without being seen. Tired of waiting, we collected the drinks ourselves from the bar with the excuse from the manager that “we are quite busy”. The food arrived after 30 minutes with several of the dishes over cooked and burnt,especially compared to the standards we’ve had before. The ‘manger’ remained behind the bar being overly enthusiastic as we worked through our food. We received no contact from staff about the quality of our food and left at 10:15pm with a table full of plates and left food. Clearly not enough staff, an overly enthusiastic but totally ineffective manager, and below standard food meant for a very disappointing Friday night. I hope this place survives but will need to be managed properly. Back to Barnsley it seems for our expected high standards.

The one and only place in Scarborough where teenagers can enjoy socialising after 8pm in a very welcoming and cosy place, while sipping a hot or soft drink safely. Thank you Marisco for providing such a safe heaven for our international students.

Me and my partner stopped here for dinner and had a lovely time. The staff were very polite, attentive and personable which added to the already relaxed and warm atmosphere the place had. I had a Bacon Cheeseburger and my partner had a Miami Brunch and all turned up in good time and was excellent. I really hope we can make it back sometime soon as we've enjoyed our experience here. 😇

Love it here and visit regularly at weekends for breakfast / brunch / lunch. Friendly staff, great menu options, delicious food, good vibes. Suitable for everyone - couples, family, friends. This time I took my mum and I had honey-roasted beetroot and feta flatbread. Oh....

What an absolute gem of a place! My husband ordered tapas and said each dish was more delicious than the last. The Sesame Satay Chicken wings were declared the absolute best wings he'd ever had. I had the steak and it was incredible, just absolutely melted in my mouth. The cocktails were gorgeous as well, and the decor is beautiful. The view is nice but hampered by the metal wiring- presumably that's due to seagull issues though! Highly, highly recommend.
