Great cakes and bread to eat in or take away. Dogs are allowed inside. We had a good lunch. It was very busy, because the food is very good.

Was staying locally with a friend and called in for a lunch snack. Absolutely overwhelmed by the menu choices, service and quality of food. Prawn sandwich was scrumptious. So enjoyable decided to place a picnic order for two days forward for our journey back home

The staff were nice and friendly, we had breakfast sandwiches, they were hot and the sausages were tasty. Wish we lived closer to order the bread!

I visited Danby Bakery on three separate occasions whilst on work visits. First occasion I was lost! No signal or internet for satnav, cafe staff allowed me to sit in the Bakery and use their WIFI to get my bearings back. Second occasion I bought their eggs as well as some of their red onion chutney, which was delicious. Today I visited and decided to get a cheese savoury sandwich and a cheese and onion pasty. The sandwich was easily the best cheese savoury sandwich I've ever had, and the pasty was amazing as well. Staff are super friendly and are brilliant customer service givers. I will have to make an excuse to visit Danby Bakery again in the future for non work purposes!

We queued to order some food but when we got to the front were told to sit at a table and they would come and take our order, they came over to do that but had two orders to take before ours. Our tables still had previous occupants plates on it. Eventually our order was taken, at long last got our coffees then our food. It then took at least 10 minutes of queuing to pay the bill. The food is really nice, even some of the staff are but it is very disorganised.

We had visited in July for lunch and noted the phone number because, to avoid disappointment, they recommend phoning the day before to order bread, cakes etc as they sellout very quickly. They still have a good choice of bread, cakes sandwiches and drinks, all delicious in the shop though. They have only 4 tables for people to sit at but offer a take away service. Very popular at lunch time.

Stopped here for a light lunch. Food was excellent and the staff so welcoming. We were willing to sit outside but they were happy for us to eat in with our dog. When we're next in the area, we'll definitely be going back.

I don't live very close to Danby Bakery but every time we go to the NYM we go to buy lunch amd cakes here. Everything I have bought from sandwiches (freshly made up) to pasties to cakes has been excellent. I have been going here for at least ten years and I have been consistently delighted. It's got to the point where my wife won't visit the NYM on days the Danby Bakery is closed. It really is very good. Do get there fairly early though. It's a small place and sells out quite early in the day.

A real treat- this tiny tea shop and bakery has an amazing view and the best selection of cakes! The ice cream milk shakes are also ‘yummy’. Perfect for sustenance when walking the hills in this pretty valley.

First visit. First impression delightful location. Extremely poor / processed quality food (not uncommon with many cafes/tea shops). Very small slice of cake and eclair with equally small dollop ice cream, cup of tea and mug coffee cost £12.70. As with the venue people seem nice. Accept dogs (which is great). Suggest review and improve quality of food and presentation. Leaving a used cigarette ashtray on table not indicative of professional service.

My wife uses a walker. We had never been to the Deli before so were unsure how to proceed. The staff completely ignored us. It was as if we were not there, or invisible. Even as we walked out of the Deli, no staff member offered any acknowledgement of us!

Gorgeous place to come to and is always on our list as a ' must go to'when we are in Filey. Beautiful setting and everything here is really delicious. The lemon meringue tart and coffee cake are to die for. It's lovely sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Sadly it was raining today and as we have a dog we couldn't go in, there was some seating under a canopy for the ice creams but sadly for us just a bit too chilly to sit out. It is cash only so that is something to always remember when visiting.
