My wife & I walked from Ravenscar to Robin Hoods Bay along the cinder trail & visited the cafe here for some refreshments. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by the staff & placed our order of 2 coffees & 2 pieces of cake. These were quickly delivered. The coffee was very good but the scone was a bit claggy & not the best scone that I have eaten. I wouldn't order a scone again. On leaving we ordered an ice cream each & they were delicious. We didn't have time to visit the exhibition so left that for another time. The place was clean & tidy although the sight of young children putting their dirty shoes on the tables was off putting!

Good coffee, LOVELY vegan and vegetarian pasties, excellent views. Good to find something quick and cheap to eat that doesn't involve chips. The cakes looked great too, though we didn't try them. Second hand books for sale. Staff very friendly.
