The staff are friendly and welcoming. All the food was freshly prepared and tasty. The choice of cakes made our decision difficult as they all looked so good.

This is a very pleasant tea room with good, fresh and home cooked food. It is very reasonably priced so an ideal travel stop for the family. The only point to note is that during busy times, there may be a short wait as all food is cooked fresh. It's worth waiting for though!

We visited Meadow View tea rooms for a birthday treat with my family, it is a lovely cosy tearoom with excellent views over the fields. I ordered an afternoon tea, it was reasonably priced at £8.50 per person, it had a lovely mix of fresh sandwiches, home made coleslaw & small salad, 2 scones (half a cheese scone & a whole fruit scone with cream & jam) you also get a small slice of home made cake too. As well as the food included in the price you get a choice of tea or coffee (any type of coffee you prefer filter or latte) It was delicious, very filling but found it to be excellent value for money & the food top quality! Also the service here is excellent, the waitresses were very attentive and the farm shop staff also very helpful. I forgot my baby wipes and was given a handful of them by the lady manning the farm shop. Would not hesitate to recommend this place if you want a quality peaceful place to have lunch or a treat for a special occasion!

Inefficient service. Staff more interested in talking to friends than Ser ing. Serve yourself cutlery. Order food encounter. Tea cold. No atmosphere. Showed innovative promise when first opened, sadly has not lived up to it..

A new place to try, had good Yorkshire tea, with a homemade very cheesy scone. Cheesy as in lots of cheese and a hint of mustard to lift it! Absolutely wonderful. The meals going past our ta ble were well filled plates nicely presented and the plates went back empty, from comments overheard the food was good homemade and wholesome. Farmers wives can cook!

A new tea room and farm shop just opened at Easington on the A174. A well set out café and farm shop. Perhaps because of its newness service is a little "confused", but the food and coffee are well up to standard. Tables were cleared but not wiped or de-crumbed. The girl was trying her best but needed more direction. As it is all new the toilets are very clean. The farm shop, which has actually moved from a barn next door has very reasonably priced goods and looked local and organic. We will visit again which is a fair endorsement.

Thank you to the lovely landlord, staff members, chef and locals of this pub. My partner and I had travelled 3 hours today and made it just in time for lunch (which they served us outside as an exception). Lovely friendly pub which we will be sure to visit again next time we're in the area. Thank you for the warm welcome and delicious lentil cottage pie and scampi- fresh and homemade, hearty food. Thanks everyone.

We booked a table as this was a highly rated place for a roast dinner near Scarborough. I had called ahead and enquired about vegetarian roast dinner options for my girlfriend. On the phone I was assured there were multiple options and although this technically was the case, neither were necessarily the best accompaniments for a roast (stuffed pepper and stuffed pasta). The service was great and we had a lovely table in a corner and the atmosphere was cozy and great. I ordered the beef roast dinner and my girlfriend ordered the stuffed peppers with a roast. The food came relatively quickly. The selection of vegetables was nice and was a welcomed change to have red cabbage and cheesy leeks although they would have been a bit more generous with the portion size as it was to share between the 2 of us. It would have also been nice to have some optional extras on the menu like a portion of cauliflower cheese. The roast dinner also only came with 2 roast potatoes which were really big but would have preferred 3 or 4 smaller ones. It came with a jug of gravy however it was meat gravy and there was not a vegetarian alternative but luckily my girlfriends stuffed peppers were quite saucy so her dinner wasn't dry. My beef was nice however it was slightly chewy and could have been hotter coming out and was only kept warm by hot gravy. Bit of an irrelevant side note but the loos were really nice! Everything else was really lovely and we did have a nice meal and I appreciate it is a small country pub in Scarborough but if you advertise as vegetarian friendly then I think it needs to follow through fully - for example being advised they don't have a veggie gravy upon ordering the dinner or even having a veggie alternative. I'm sorry to be negative, especially when we did have such a lovely time (hence the 4 stars) bu my girlfriend has been vegetarian for 5 years and situations like these feel very frustrating and easily avoidable if staff are more aware and informed.

Great place can see why it’s busy. Food was brilliant and the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend and return.
