A great alternative to fish and chips. Great value for money and we were so full after the meal we had to go lie down for an hour at our hotel. Yummy

Lovely tea room in forest. Nice walk from May Beck car park. Dog friendly garden. Waterfall nearby.

Stopped in here for brunch and we were not disappointed! Delicious food, great gluten free options, lovely coffee, great service and very reasonable prices in a very welcoming atmosphere. Portions are very generous too!

Been visiting here atleast once a month for years but the latest visit left us very disappointed. Usually we order 3 regular fish and chips but due to the menu board saying only small and jumbo fish available i ordered 3 small, only to notice just after ordering it states in very small writing 'regular when available' so i asked if they had regular and could i change my order, they had literally only managed to serve the person behind me it was that quick. The request was passed on to the guy frying and wow to say he didn't seem pleased would be an understatement, because he had already put the small fish in the fryer? Awkward. Either you can change the order or not no need to act like i was trying to con the place. Thankfully the girl who was serving me said she could alter the order as people came in and ordered small fish and asked me to give it a minute or two. A few minutes passed and she called me over and asked for a further £13? I asked why is it that much for 3 regular over 3 small fish and she said they are jumbo? I said i asked for regular and she said regular are jumbo? I said i didn't want 3 jumbo as we have had jumbo previously and they are usually very big? So i said I'd take 2 jumbo as we could just share the fish out. All good until we came to share out the fish, we have been to this fish ship many times and i can confidently say the fish where no bigger than the usual regular (one maybe smaller) and no way jumbo! I understand people can have off days and i also understand prices everywhere have gone up but selling regular fish as jumbo resulting in 2 normal portions of fish and chips for £30 is way overpriced. Servers tried their best though. Such a shame.

Excellent. Popped in for lunch. Hadn't been there previously, but suitably impressed. Great food, generous portions, and great value for money. Pleasant atmosphere and the service from all the staff is exceptional. It is a great place to eat. It is best to book a table as it does get busy at lunchtime on Friday.

Lovely food and decor ...but a very grumpy head waiter took the edge off the evening.

Great little place in the harbour. On the waterfront near lobster pots and boats. We had a great English breakfast nicely cooked and presented. Friendly amenable staff. Overlooks Marina.

Lovely scones and coffee unfortunately toilets upstairs.

This place is so good that you must book to avoid disappointment! We had planned to eat in Scarborough town centre having had a lovely afternoon watching a film and shopping, but the place we'd chosen had decided to close early because they'd had 2 busy days! I rang Walkers and threw ourselves on their mercy. They were of course fully booked on this Saturday night, but felt so sorry for us that they gave us a table in their pudding bar. There's a huge choice of meals, all beautifully hot and tasty and the staff are very friendly and efficient. I always have the haddock and prawn mornay which has a creamy sauce and is full of fish. It comes with chips, boiled potatoes or a side salad and on this occasion I chose the side salad, which was enormous and so much better than the usual small dish of limp leaves and tiny bits of tomato and red onion that places usually call a side salad (see photo). In the summer I usually choose the crayfish tails salad, which is also superb value, full of fresh salad and fruit with a most generous portion of crayfish tails. I've twice been with friends who've had to ask for a box to take home half of their portion which they've enjoyed for their lunch the following day at home! We're so lucky to have this wonderful, family run restaurant near us. Do go - but do ring first to book or you will be disappointed!

Your classic micro pub where the beer selection caters for everyone, rotates so often you won't keep up, and and kept superbly. Staff excellect along with the clientelle - whether you want to read your paper in peace or join in on the numerous conversations floating around. Highly recommended.

Volvimos a nuestro alojamiento esperando que la comida estuviera disponible. Nos sentamos en el jardín y tomamos una copa mientras miramos el menú y esperamos que el servicio de comida comience a las 5 pm. Nos ofrecieron una mesa aunque no habíamos reservado con antelación. El restaurante se llenó rápidamente y es obviamente un restaurante muy popular. Las chicas que servían eran todas amables y profesionales. Nuestra orden fue tomada rápidamente y la comida estaba con nosotros en aproximadamente 20 minutos - recién cocinado y agradable y caliente. Las comidas eran buenas y bien presentadas. Decidimos tener el plato de compartir de postre -era enorme pero logramos terminarlo entre nosotros : ) Fabulosa comida y sin duda recomendaría.
