The view restaurant @ the Delmont hotel, a hidden jem that must be visited. Booked for the gala new years eve dinner, and wow. The best food in any restaurant that i have ever tasted. Each course was perfection and served by excellent friendly waitress,s where nothing was too much trouble. A must try restaurant, you won,t be disappointed.

We spent a fabulous evening, with family and friends to bring in the new year. We enjoyed six courses and each course was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. We will visit again and again.

Spent New year's eve at the delmont hotel, and was lucky enough to eat in thier restaurant. The food was fabulous and the staff were very professional. Nothing was too much trouble. the hotel had arranged entertainment also and all in all it was one of the best nights I have had. My thanks to you all.

Our group of 10 attended on New Year's Eve. Had a 6 course meal which was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Service was excellent and quick. Great entertainment with Ian and Bob and afterwards with Harry. Great night had by all. Didn't stay overnight at the hotel but viewed one of the many bedrooms there which was spacious and tastefully decorated with fantastic sea views. Would highly recommend.

Great team Christmas dinner at the View restaurant. The food and service was excellent as always. A great atmosphere with an impressive Christmas tree and fab view. We will be back.

Had an absolutely fabulous evening here. The cider pork was so tender and tasty and the cherry crumble was delicious. Excellent wine, service and surroundings. Will definitely be back again.

First time visit to this restaurant (we live in Scarborough) and what a lovely surprise. Staff were friendly and attentive especially David. I had fish taco’s, the batter was just right and the home made chipotle sauce that accompanied them was just like Subway’s so I was buzzing as I can’t get it anywhere. My husband had the fish cakes for starters which he enjoyed and belly pork for main. He said the belly pork was lovely but could have done with more veg as it was only served with peas. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and looks beautiful with the Christmas decor. I would recommend phoning for a reservation rather than using their online booking form with it being near Christmas.

We went on a recommendation and were not disappointed. The best Sunday roast I have had in a long time, lovely surroundings and atmosphere. David provided great service, and excellent value for money. A definite must go to. Thanks to the Delmont for a great Time.

The food was excellent especially the haddock fish cake (starter). Everything was cooked fresh and came piping hot to the table. We had a window seat looking out across the North Bay. A special mention to Paul for great service and his unique personality, a credit to the hotel and restaurant. We have dined here many times and never been disappointed.

A lovely Sunday lunch in a very calm atmosphere, perfect for a chat, chilled decor and backround music. Most importantly the best gravy I've ever had away from home! Perfect. Thank you!

Walked past and popped in after seeing breakfast menu. So glad we did. The breakfast was fantastic and such an amazing view. The breakfast was freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, and excellent value for money. We were served by Steph who was absolutely lovely, and was more than happy to help with my husband’s unusual breakfast order. We loved it so much going to go for breakfast again!

I came to eat at this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend and I was not disappointed! Great service. Stunning view. I had the French onion soup and it was to die for! Also the porkbelly was out of this world absolute bargain will be back.

Took my parents for Sunday lunch. Food was superb and well presented too. Service was excellent. The two gentlemen on duty were polite, welcoming and friendly and made sure everything was looked after throughout. The whole experience was great. Lovely sea view was a bonus. Didn't book so wasn't sure whether my son & I would get a table on a Friday night, friendly French guy said we could eat if we waited half an hour. Obviously short staffed as there was just him & another guy working. Waited about 45 mins, food came, garlic chicken dry, served with chips a mushroom, onion ring & a tomato, steak was also served with mushroom, tomato & a onion ring. Disappointed really but staff done their best & view was lovely overlooking the sea.

We had Sunday lunch here today. A traditional English Sunday dinner, with a good selection of vegetables and a meat of your choice,beef, pork or turkey, etc. With a full flavoured gravy, to top it off. No room left for the pudding because to start the meal we had a really nice starter. A mushroom soup starter, with an artisan homemade bread. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was clean and tidy. The views over the North Bay, made this visit part of the good atmosphere, in "The View Restaurant". Will visit The View Restaurant, again, when in Scarborough.

Went for Sunday lunch,with my daughter and her boyfriend,the food was fantastic,home made yorkshire puddings,cauliflower cheese and lots lots more it is the best Sunday lunch I have had and the prices are very good from £ 12.00 it was amazing will definitely be going back.The staff were so friendly,polite and attentive.If you are in scarborough you must try here.

Well where do I start service was outstanding food was outstanding atmosphere was outstanding. The view restaurant never ceases to impress me. I took my Granddaughter so we could celebrate her 18th birthday and was not disappointed. Paul and Daniel made us feel so welcome from walking in to leaving, "Thank you"

Amazing 3 day stay, food and service excellent. Room was out of this world, stayed in Alicante suite, so spacious and exceptional views over North Bay. Have booked to return later in year. Thank you everyone, certainly made us feel welcome 10/10.

Booked in on a very busy Saturday night for 6pm but we decided we would like to eat later at 8pm, the restaurant was only too happy to change our booking without complaint. On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our window seat with a lovely view of the bay, handed a small but very detailed and varied menu with starters and mains. After our drinks request were taken we were asked if we had any special dietary requirements or allergies and also made aware of the specials and dishes no longer available and alternatives. My teenage son chose the gourmet burger and I chose the loin of pork. The burger was juicy and tasty and certainly lived up to all expectations and then some, the loin of pork dish I had was melt in the mouth with an accompanying sauce that was most definitely worth another visit. The menu itself offered several fish and seafood dishes as expected at the coast along side duck, chicken and beef dishes. Most definitely something for everybody. A separate children's menu was available offering all the favourites from bangers and mash , fish fingers and chicken nuggets. Wine and cocktails available.

My partner and myself spent New Year's Eve at the The View Restaurant we had been looking forward having booked several weeks before and we was not disappointed absolutely fantastic from start to finish the owners, management and staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was out of this world it was on another level my partner had fillet steak which melted like butter and I had the duck which was cooked to perfection as it should be just slightly pink and succulent. The atmosphere was amazing everyone enjoying themselves all having good fun enjoying the entertainment and joining in definitely an evening to remember. One the best evening's we have had in a long time.

What a restaurant. Amazing food, great customer service and really friendly staff I had the Tempura prawns to start, they were amazing, really nice combination of flavours and not overpowering. My friends had the chicken skewers and bree, they looked equally amazing! For my main dish I went with the belly pork, it came with the most amazing mash and a slice of black pudding! 10/10 - would definitely recommend! For dessert, I had a chocolate brownie (running out of words here) all I can it was special. Thank you to all staff!

Visited The View restaurant with a party of 6. Including adults and children, the children were welcomed and brought colouring activities along with a excellent children's menu showing a vast variety of food. The service was very good, all staff were friendly . The Roast dinner was amazing, full of flavour and served with fantastic presentation. All meals were thoroughly enjoyed and we will definitely be visiting again . Can highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited The View restaurant which has stunning views across North Bay and was not disappointed. The staff are amazing and the food was excellent which was high standard,very well presented and certainly enough of. I had the North Bay burger. Two homemade burgers with bacon,egg,cheese,gherkins and tomatoes served between a toasted bun with chips and side salad,very tasty indeed😋. I couldn't eat it all but staff are happy to place it in a takeaway box for you to take home. The entertainment for the evening was an Elvis impersonator who was also very good and had everyone singing along. Returned the next day for Sunday lunch which was also the same high standard as the night before. The roast beef was delicious and lovely and tender which was served with a large Yorkshire pudding,roast potatoes and fresh vegetables,again,was not disappointed. The view restaurant, what can i say...a restaurant that as that wow factor in more ways than one, from the view, right down to the personal touch and effort made by the staff to make sure you have a fantastic time. We enjoyed it that much we went back the next day for sunday lunch which was the best i,ve had in scarborough. The view restaurant is a must for those who hav,nt yet tried it, you won,t be disappointed. From start to finish on both days we were looked after by expert, friendly, and hard working staff who go out of there way to make your experience extra special. once you try you will definatly want to go again. we will be.

We went today for Sunday lunch following reading other people’s good reviews. We went expecting 5 stars but in fact we got barely 2. The service was poor and very little covid secure, dirty menus and glasses. We were not offered the wine menu even when ordering wine. When the food came the plates were cold so made the meat and mash cold. The seasonal veg in June was swede and carrots which is not seasonal. The cauliflower cheese had no cheese in it. The pie came with puff pastry and not shortcrust as stated on the menu. When asked they said they were using the ‘left overs’!! No apologies offered just ‘it’s what the chef said’. This is not a 5 star restaurant and the views are disappointing. We live and learn a they say.

The welcome as we entered the hotel was lovely, staff very attentive, the views are first rate and the whole feel of the restaurant was great, every table seemed to have a view. The food portions and flavours from the starters to deserts were 1st class and the attention to detail on every plate we viewed, was great we dined for 3 nights and enjoyed each occasion, and the breakfasts again did not disappoint, clearly fantastic ingredients which could be tasted in every mouthful. The function room was a good size with nice stage setting for our entertainment when we joined for a cabaret evening, again fantastic food. I would happily recommend the View Restaurant for any occasion and the Delmont Hotel in general if your looking for somewhere to celebrate on a bigger scale...
