The best restaurants in Kirkbymoorside Ryedale Yorkshire and The Humber

2 of us with 1 of us gluten free as a Coeliac. We look online for restaurants that actually take the time to show GF options and this was the case. It says it is small and intimate which it is but it is really a lovely space with outside tables should you wish and log ovens outside for certain days in the season. Good choice of food and we were there for Sunday lunch.A special on was half a lobster! I had that with chicken liver pate as a starter and lovely (unusually) GF bread. My wife had the roast beef dinner. The chef certainly knows how to cook and present, the staff know the dishes and the portions are, well, way above what you expect. All desserts are priced the same. I think that's the way forward. Nice choice of wines too.It's just a very relaxing place to sit and dine. Spotlessly clean too. We chatted with the owner and staff and they are clearly proud of what they have there, so they should be. we will be back!

Lovely relaxed atmosphere , beautiful surroundings, relaxing music makes for a chill down place ,love it! Lovely staff , gorgeous food ,so well presented. Really enjoyed myself . Would visit again .

Must be one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve frequented in my 63 years. No grease, very tasty, nice decor and very clean. No negatives whatsoever. Just superb.

A lovely friendly bakery, just one wee table to sit and and have a coffee and observe the comings and goings of the regulars, the holiday makers and day trippers. Bread and cakes wonderful, a lovely lady owns this place and I wish her well!

Recommended for good food and excellent portions never had a bad meal in all the years we've been going

I have given this place plenty of chances over the years with it only managing to be average at best! But this time it’s gone and topped this with what can only be described as disgusting!!! How they dared to give this to a customer amazed me and has just confirmed everything I already knew about this place. Staff that don’t care and have little to non experience in food preparation….award winning? What a joke

Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff and lovely food

Very nice pub. Recently refurbished. Very nicely decorated. Friendly staff who were happy to chat and provided complimentary nuts/crisps. Theakstons was well kept and tasted delicious. Lovely courtyard beer garden at the back. Nice sun trap. Overall a lovely couple of hours well spent.

We didn't stay here but we came for some food and it was amazing 10/10 very impressed with the food and the service Thank you so much

We were driving back to Inverness in the Highlands of scotland, after spending a week in scarborough and passed this small coffee shop. I was absolutely desperate for a cup of tea, so my partner ran in quickly to get some hot water for me so I could make one in the car since I had my own tea bags and milk with me lol He said the 2 women that were working were very helpful and lovely. Very good customer service and a nice wee place to sit and have a hot drink. Thank you for your help. We visited on 20th March about 1430.

Waited over an hour after I had ordered on the web. Despite getting a email and a text confirming delivery nothing came. I spoke to the manager whom lacks customer service skills and did not have the ability to refund me and just kept saying he was busy, which gave him the excuse to put the phone down. 1.15 later they found my order, but still did not have the means to refund me as by then i did not want it. Please avoid them as they are clueless on how to provide refunds when they make mistakes.
