We have recently visited the Nawaab, in fact twice in the last month. It's been trading for many decades, our last visit probably being over 20 years ago.
On both occasions the food has been excellent. Great choices can be made from an extensive menu. Happy, attentive and smiling staff offer quick service all at a reasonable cost. Well recommended!
My Daughter and I went for Xmas lunch yesterday. The tables were all set with white table cloths and looked very Christmasy. We had taken our own champagne as they don’t sell alcohol. We were served by Lauren and Scarlett and they really looked after us. The food was lovey home made and everything was fresh. Just a big Thankyou to all the staff. We had a lovely lunch.

we were disappointed today sadly. the order was late, the delivery driver certainly wasn't in a rush. chips were dry and didn't seem very fresh. nothing was as hot as I'd expect. previously we have had better experience but it felt like our order had been in a car for quite while before arriving.
When we aren't going to Palace Tandoori Restaurant we order our takeaway from Maxi's. They have great selection so if some want pizza, burger, kebab, curry in a nan.... That's fine coz I can still have my favourite curry n pilau!
Myself and friends enjoyed a few birthday drinks at the Crown, the drinks were reasonably priced, the barman Kieran made sure we everything was okay, he was really friendly and hedefinitely makes the best Baby Guinness in town

Popped into town for a few bits fancied coffee and came across this hidden gem.
The old Virgin music store is now a lovely bistro / cafe sharing the space with the post office at the back.
Brilliant idea.
There is something for everyone on the menu - mowe had continental croissant and desi omelettes....just beautiful.
Definitely worth a visit even if its just for a coffee - lovely space to relax in.
Will come back.
A great sandwich bar (only when the owner is there!!!) She is lovely - chatty and smiles all round, always happy to see you.
When she leaves the place to be run by a number of the younger female staff members, it all goes to hell. Today (Monday 15th) Sue wasn’t in and this is not uncommon when she isn’t around………. Ordering a simple breakfast box and a sausage sandwich goes all wrong.
Informed it was cash only today, but only when I went to pay after the food had been cooked. Had to go back home for cash, no explaination given or apology, no sign either up saying ‘cash only today’. Arrived back to girl on a FaceTime chat rather than engaged in serving me.
Got my order home and completely incorrect (no egg and yet double sausage and bacon) 🤦🏻♂️. If Jill’s Cafe was open for n Milnsbridge on a Monday, I’d have left the food there, not returned and paid, and gone there instead.
Great when the owner is there, terriboe when she’s not.
Fuimos a almorzar, que me dieron un vale por dos personas y dos campos, 1ª clase alrededores, comida estupenda, encantador personal, impecable, también una excelente relación calidad-precio, con el voucher
A fantastic wet led pub with exceptional service. 6 cask ales all sourced from Yorkshire on my visit.
Look out for the innovative food events which appear to be held on a monthly basis - they look too good to miss.
