Everything I ordered was perfect, and on time! I didn't notice until now, that they'd put me an extra Jerk Chicken and Gravy too, with a really sweet note, saying its on the house, and free of charge! :) I'm Muslim and have been fasting all day for Ramadan..So this was really really appreciated! Hope you read this and see that I'm thankful!

We ordered 3 quarter chicken pieces and received 3 small chicken legs! Please explain what you mean by a 1/4 of a chicken?

Drove by several times while working in Huddersfield and decided to try it. Had pulled jerk chicken with rice and beans and a quarter of blackened jerk chicken. The chicken and rice was amazing, but the blackened jerk chicken has to be the best chicken dish I have ever eaten, so flavourful and tender. I could not recommend this place highly enough and can't wait to visit again when next in the area

Haven’t been for awhile but really didn’t expect to pay 8.50 for one portion of chicken and rice and then the rice didn’t taste like it should. Won’t be going again there are other better and much cheaper Caribbean takeaways to go to

The positives are the female that served us was very friendly and helpful. The dumplings were dreadful and the Plantain was like plastic (clearly not fresh). The jerk chicken and coleslaw were really nice but if you are going to serve jerk hands are going to be sticky and dry napkins are not going to work. Invest in some KFC style wipes I think.

Absolutely delicious Jerk Chicken, Wings, Rice And Peas !! Lovely friendly , helpful service .... and just the right amount of hot spice.... we will be returning .... often !! ... Great Value Too !!

What a hidden treasure this is. Jamaican barbecued grilled chicken like no other in Huddersfield. The platter is the best value for money and serves two. Tastiest carribean food in the area, fact. Staff are great and so funny, I enjoyed sitting in and hearing the banter. Keep up the good work all :)

Read the reviews on here and fancied something different to the usual choices so decided to give them a try and we were pleasantly surprised. As we weren't sure what to have, we were given a sample taste which was really appreciated. We chose the pulled jerk chicken and chicken curry both with the rice and peas and tried a sweet dumpling. It was all delicious and different and very reasonably priced. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. Top marks for this one and we will be back soon.

Love it here, crave it at least once a week but never get time to come as much as I’d like to due to always working :( food is full of flavour for such low price! & can’t go wrong with 50p dumpling and curry sauce in total it’s like £1-1.50

Buy the platter. Its £10. Gives a good selection of what its all about. Some of best food i have ever had. Amazing. Tastes like its been long smoked over coals.

Accidentally stumbled across this fantastic value for money restaurant. The quality of the food was amazing and healthy to go with it. Well recommend it!!

I'm not one for usually writing foodie reviews but I feel that this place deserves some acknowledgement and feedback. Today was the forth time I have visited here and I must say the food is to die for. It's so flavoursome for what appears to be such "basic" food. There is a lot of skill and pride that goes into these dishes and they are absolutely delicious. The lady on the front of house is also always so polite and full of smiles, which is always very welcoming as it makes you feel that your business is appreciated. I have read some negative feedback about the food being "cold on delivery" and I have to admit, that I have always enjoyed eating in here when it's freshly cooked rather than taking it home and reheating it - however, it's still delicious! Another thing I like about Jerk's food is that I don't feel "gross" after eating it, which I do with a curry or a pizza. It's very lean, not greasy or fatty. I will be back again and again, keep up the good work and smiles.

Quite simply the nicest delivery food I've had delivered in years. My first time ordering. Food was beautiful, tasty and great quality. Customer service was great. They ran out of Goat curry, but rang with an apology and to ask what we would like instead, gave us some wings to make up for it (which were amazing, thanks!) Really busy though - after placing the order, the delivery time went up by half an hour - but the food was worth the wait. Highly recommend. I look forward to next time!

Tuvimos el mejor para llevar todos! ! Pedimos deshuesados muslos con arroz y guisantes, curry de cabra con arroz y guisantes, albóndigas de pescado frito sal y bolas. Nos llamaron para decir que habían descentrado de abrigo al curry y podrían sustituir este curry de pollo con una gran. ¡GUAU! ! ! Compartimos y fue el mejor que hemos tenido para llevar. Sin duda pedir desde aquí. Gracias por una excelente comida para llevar.

Gran lugar para visitar. Las instalaciones limpias vibrante. Comer en el restaurante o para llevar. Albóndigas fritas son increíbles debe con cada comida. Hay una amplia gama de alimentos del caribe disponible que he probado la mayoría de y debo decir que era igual de delicioso. Pollo adobado es la mejor y más sabrosos alrededor, verdaderamente auténtico.

Tenemos único aquí un par de veces. La comida era precioso, la última vez frescos y grandes porciones. . Lo único que hace unos días y la última noche las patatas fritas estaban heladas y empapadas (ReWarmed) y el pollo Jerk sacó estaba frío. ....

Very nice jerk chicken with rice and peas, would recommend the pulled chicken over normal jerk chicken. Big portions and fairly quick service. (The peas were kidney beans). Good customer service -

The food in this place is fine but beware, the management have a very bad habit of taking sneaky videos of customers eating in there and sticking them on Facebook WITHOUT PERMISSION !!

The rice and peas are probably up there with the best ive tasted, the fries were amazing and the portions are massive! Downside was walking in and getting a very frosty reception from the girl stood behind the counter, no smile no hello, she just walked away.The gentleman that served me however was very pleasant and helpful.I also ordered brown stew chicken, not sure if the peices of chicken should have looked like golf balls though, also not enough gravy to it. Rap music was playing over the radio and quit loud, i assume you want to cater to everyone so maybe that's a no, no.Maybe find some ways to make it a warmer relaxed environment.

So visited Jerk hut a month ago and haven't stopped ordering. I've never tasted chicken which melts in my mouth like jerk huts. Very impressed with the combos of sauces which they use also.... thank you very much

Tried here after hearing mixed reviews and I thought it was lovely . I had the curried goat , rice and peas and enjoyed it . The portion was massive compared to some Caribbean fast food places . The wings were nice but I personally wasn't blown away. Would go again and would recommend.

Ordered from here after reading great reviews. Placed an order through Just Eat. Ordered at 7.15pm. Rang the restaurant at 8 45pm to ask how long this would be... advised won't be long.. didn't ask who I was or what I had ordered! Waited a further hour before calling Just Eat who called them and called me back to advise on the way. 40 minutes later I rang back and cancelled. If you can't deliver don't take the orders. Terrible service. Will never attempt again!

Ordering from Just eat I've heard amazing things through social media and word of mouth. so i thought i better try it. the chicken just melted in my mouth and the Jerk mayo sauce was the best sauce I've tasted. i would recommended to everyone who wants a fast bite to eat. thank you

Had curried chicken, jerk chicken and all the works. Pre ordered it for on my home from work. Was greeted by friendly lass with a nice smile and all my food was ready.Really nice meal and shall visit again

I've been a few times and it was amazing before! The last two times I've been the curried chicken was well.. Just chicken and potato on fries with no sauce what so ever! This really isn't what I call a curry. Not to mention the last time I visited tonight the woman in charge was practically shouting at the staff which I get but to shout in front of all the customers? And the staff member was back chatting. It really isn't professional. It's like they can't handle it being busy. Little disappointed and contemplating not bothering to return.

Came for the first time on a Friday night and loved it. I had curried chicken and it just reminded me of my moms cooking back home in Jamaica.... Cheers guys will defiantly be back for more

Popped in to try it as it hasnt been around long. I didnt know what to order so i just got jerk legs and chips with salad. The lady asked me if i would like a scoop of the pulled chicken on top, so i thought why not!It is amazing! I should have just had pulled chicken on chips it was that nice! Shame i came out of there to see my car had been crashed into around the side! (Not the takeaways fault) but a let down all the same. *parking is poor for the restaurant - be careful*

I ordered from here 4.7.11.... And that is where the positives end. Ordered my food on justeat, and was totally let down by the substandard service and poor cold food i recieved. First of all let me point out that it was carnival night which I was fully aware of so whereas the website said 40 mins i was expecting an hours wait. I ordered the Jerk Hut Platter as i was really liking what was on it. After 80 minutes of waiting i called them and the rude member of staff who answered the phone was rude, and told me my order had not been recieved from justeat as they had turned off the machine due to them being short staffed(can I add which is ridiculous as it was their busiest night of the year, great business accumen there may I add) The girl after a lengthy argument retook my order, and i was happy that I had been listened to. After 2 hours and 20 minutes of waiting i called them back and was more than irate. I was then informed they had run out of food and I quote "theyll try and put something together" I was also told to ask justeat for a refund but just as i about to, my thrown together platter arrived. I thought my friend was winding me up as i gave up on the idea of a meal and was on the phone when the food arrived.... Now, for the food... it was cold, parts of it were bland, even the meat was tough. I threw three quarters of it away. Since then I have been in contact directly with the manager who has assured me time and time again that he will refund me personally for the food, to which I am still waiting. In summary, theres taking the mick and there is taking the mick and this place does that in brilliantly dismal style. I will stick to Yardees from now on where i know the food is of a brilliant standard...

Seen the Jerk Hut as I pass that way and thought I'd give it a try, taste buds are thanking me as is my stomach lol ! Had the pulled chicken with rice and peas and loved it ! Terrific food with friendly staff - I'll be filling up my loyalty card very quickly ! Mxx

This is honestly the nicest food I have ever had. It is now my favourite takeaway food. We've been contemplating going for a while and decided tonight was the night. I had curried goat and it beat any other I've had. You can't beat the prices (very expensive in the local restaurant) and the portions are huge. The service is friendly, lovely staff. Recommend to anyone who wants good food and good service. It's even perfect to sit down for a quick meal. Thank You!

This was our first visit and will not be our last . The food is out of this world , try the pulled chicken you will not be disappointed. The cleanliness of this place is of a very high standard , and the handling of food 100%

Been here quite a lot since it opened, the smell when you walk past is amazing! Normally order delivery, always comes within the timeframe they say or sometimes quicker. Love the pulled chicken. Also tried ackee & saltfish, curry goat and chicken, enjoyed everything we've tried! The dumplings are delicious too. Sometimes they don't have everything on the menu available which is the only downside. Prices are reasonable also, range from bout £4-10 per dish and portions are pretty big.

New favourite takeaway! Really friendly service and incredible food at a really good price. A right little gem in Huddersfield!
