Good prices, good food, will be going again soon. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Make sure to go on Monday or Tuesday for cheaper pints.

The atmosphere was great .. went on a Saturday night and the place was packed it was a right laugh and the staff were really friendly and made sure we were looked after

We unexpectedly visited this lovely pub yesterday when we had an incident with my daughter who had ended up lost and upset and found herself in the pub being looked after by a lovely customer and the girls behind the bar who were all fabulous. At a very stressful time they were wonderful. We stayed for a couple of drinks and it was great service, great prices and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you again guys, much appreciated.

Well what a place …… apparently you can call in for a drink and come away with all sorts of ‘extras’ The manager is over friendly with the punters …….. read into that what you will! Disgrace!

Myself and 2 friends came here on Sunday 18th December and the pub was buzzing and vibrant and so were the staff behind the bar. The atmosphere was fantastic and the pub was very busy. The bar staff were brilliant. Funny, helpful, happy and full of Christmas spirit. They were giving away free raffle tickets and selling raffle tickets for the usual Sunday meat hamper prize. We had such a great time, in a buzzing atmosphere, in a proper old school pub. To top off the perfect afternoon we won the Meat hamper! We were overjoyed! Thankyou to all the staff at The Crown for such a fantastic Christmas afternoon. We will be back soon.

This pub is brilliant . My sister and i come here maybe for a breakfast one to twice a wk. The manager Vicky served me today what a lovely lady and so helpful. She brought my drinks to the table . Danny is another of their brilliant chefs he cooked my beautiful breakfast. Love this brilliant pub u feel so safe here and i have never seen any trouble. Been coming here since Nov when i moved back "home". Thank you to everyone who works in this pub has to be the best one in Huddersfield. You can even come in here on your own and feel safe and no one bothers you as it is a safe environment.

Just been in the newly refurbished crown pub had lunch was lovely with friends definitely recommend ( new chef Danny) looked after 7s as well as the bar staff if your hungry and in town its a must visit

Visited last night for a meal for the family. I had a great double stacked burger and my wife had scampi. The boys had chicken goujons. All cooked superbly. Drinks are well priced too. It's just had a fab refurbishment and the manager Vicky was very welcoming and so we're her team. Will defo be back soon.

Food shocking, even the second time it came, but one guy running around on his own isn't the best Idea your either a waiter or bar staff.. won't be returning.

Although I Can't speak for everyone but, The Crown is a Great place to go in Huddersfield for a drink, to hang with friends or just to chill, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere of the bar is great!

This is a good place the kick back a long day of work get a nice pint and just chill . It's an amazing atmosphere!!

Really lovely staff who were happy to chat and offered amazing service throughout! Chloe was such a lovely part of the whole experience here, very helpful and really livened the place up! Was also thoroughly impressed with the food- reasonably priced and excellently prepared. Overall a wonderful pub.

Amazing service from the whole team however Gwen really made our visit special. She recommended the new draught cocktails and they certainly didn’t disappoint. She had a lovely attitude and we will deffo be back again :)

It’s a rare find for us in this town, but it was so welcoming and quiet and the ale so good , unlike places we had visited earlier, we wish we had found it sooner.

We go to the Crown to meet friends on a regular basis. It is a very friendly pub with a friendly efficient staff, it as a lovely friendly atmosphere & TVs full of sports if you like them. We started to go in Sundays for a bite to eat as the have 50% off the price of food which makes it more affordable than eating at home and to top it off with a great selection of drinks especially the cask ale. I also like to watch a match or two whilst we are in too.

I always have the best experience at the Crown, it’s a very warm and friendly place to visit.In particular l have to single out Chloe Mawson for great her great attitude in making my visits welcoming.

Good value for drinks and food. Quite busy at times and plenty of large TV screens to watch the football. Probably best starting of here before heading on somewhere else.

Lovely real ale!! Football on multiple screens even in the garden. The mixture of 5 plates for £8.50 is the best value!! Great staff very friendly.

The hotel was lovely with every need catered for (even down to a good light over the mirror at the dressing table and hairdryer). Room was nice decor and clean but the only downside was the shower which looked dirty and unkempt with black mould around. Breakfast was the best I've had anywhere and was always kept topped up with fresh food. Coffee from the machine was delicious. Would visit again.

Came in with Friends for the Arsenal game. It was Monday Club and there was quite a few in. We had a great night as our team won plus we were looked after by Nick and Chloe. Chloe even brought our drinks to the table which was great. Definitely will be back.

The Crown is near to the town centre of Huddersfield. The bar was full and I only had a few beers and no meal. To me it is more a drinking pub than a restaurant. The staff were friendly enough and efficient considering how busy it was. To me it felt more of a mans drinking pub.

My review is that the staff were rude and I eat bit of my steak and asked if I could have another one .The manager said no as eatten some but as I was cutting through it was red all the way through . I will not come back here again with the way he treat me and my sister ... the rest of the meal was nice apart from the steak being red inside .when I ordered I asked for it well cooked . I asked for some money back with the fact I had not eat the steak . It was unfair for the way he spoke to me and my sister ... our face did not fit in here at all . If they want costumers to come in their pub treat them with respect ..

Visited 20 April 2018, I have complemented this particular chef before on his breakfasts. He always presents a meal worth eating, not fat soaked rubbish. I can only hope management appreciate this particular lad, I can then keep going back.

Attempted to enter the pub, barely through the door with my toddler when a bloke comes marching forward and shouting "no kids allowed" which drew the attention of everyone in the pub. As they do food, you automatically assume children are allowed. It was not clearly signed posted that children weren't allowed. It wasn't an issue for me just the lack of customer service is appalling and the aggression from the bloke wasn't needed. A quiet word wouldn't of gone a miss. Never known customer service like it.

Been drinking in this pub 14 years. It always has warm friendly staff with great drinks at reasonable prices and the food is always at a great standard. 50% off all the menu on Sundays makes it even better. There is a pool table, fruit machines and a jukebox for entertainment not forgetting many tv screens around the pub for the sport. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic breakfast, the best I’ve had for a longtime. Well cooked, tasty, very little fat, presented well. My complements to the chef and all involved.

There are some really good and cheap drink deals on at the Crown which makes a nice change from some of the more expensive places in Huddersfield. It was a busy Saturday evening and it was really busy so there was a good atmosphere but the staff were all really quick to serve us

Had the breakfast bacon,sausages hash browns beans tomato mushrooms bread and butter reasonably priced and very filling,won't be needing any dinner tonight 😊

Buena selección, con cervezas, and bitters" estándar y lagers, y todo lo que se puede esperar en el espíritu y una selección de vinos. No probamos la comida, así que no puedo comentar sobre eso. Una cosa enorme deja por, y ciertamente me impide que frecuentan el lugar tan a menudo como pudiera. El equipo de mujer hombre sirve de los narcotraficantes, sabemos de muchos por lo que son, que están arruinando una cerca de la comunidad, me parece en el mejor de los pobres, en el peor de una sentencia dos dedos para un montón de gente.

We went there early evening to have a meal and then watch live football. The staff were very accommodating and showed the match of our choice in the TV in front of us. The food was very nice and freshly cooked and well presented.

I have requested many times that my chicken is not killed twice i.e. (once when it departs this earth, the second time being when it's cooked)

Decidimos ir a por algo de comer, así que vine aquí. Nos dieron el pescado y patatas fritas para 6.99 más barato que el actual "fish and chips". Grandes peces enormes y patatas fritas deliciosas macizos. Definitivamente volveré aquí de nuevo.

This is still a pub widely used as such However it has a great menu Also good range of beers The best value is bacon/sausage/bacon and egg muffin and tea or coffee for £1.79 The menu has lots of 2 for 1 offers

we have travelled to this pub from halifax a few times for drinks but on this last visit on 8 april we tried the food we have always found the pub friendly clean and busy , we ordered off the 2 meal deal menu mum had fish n chips i had the bacon and cheese burger served a relish and chips , the food did not disappoint , as as usual the staff were very friendly but didnt pester you asking 'hows the food ' everytime we took a mouthful will definately eat there again

"The Crown" it's known for cheap beer and food, most of the meals being middle of the road pub grub, which is mostly edible. A place I like to go.Ok it was APRIL 1st when I had breakfast, but do you really have to sod around with a mans food, especially his breakfast.The advertised breakfast in the photo bares no resemblance to the two pieces of bacon I received, the knife being shown for comparison. They obviously needed the bacon more than I did.The state of my bacon eventually resulted in me politely asking if this was the normal bacon for breakfast now, It resulted in a cold stare from the waiter, replying, different supplier, then walking off.While I am the subject of food in the Crown, can we please try not to kill the chicken twice, it's nearly always dry, and inedible.Visiting with friends on the 31st March, both of us could not eat the chicken that came with the mixed grill.

Came here to watch the football and ended up eating. Good prices and great quality. Friendly staff. Would recommend :) all day breakfast is brilliant! !

Busy place good choice of bitters and lagers didn't have any food but the menu looked ok friendly staff all in all recommend for an away day

We were caravanning about 10 miles from Huddersfield and caught the bus in. When walking from the bus station towards the Town Centre we passed The Crown offering two meals for £6.95 so decided to really splash out! I had Chicken Tika Masala with a poppadum, naan bread and mango chutney and my husband had a curry pie with chips and peas. The beer was also reasonably priced. The pub was busy so we waited a while for our meals but had no complaints about them.

Having grown up around here, it was nice to be back home but our Sunday afternoon was definitely spoiled by deciding to visit here. The pub itself was clean and busy enough but I asked for real ale and they only had 3 on from the 6 available and we even had to return the first two pints of those before getting something that was anyway decent, only being told by a blond lady behind the bar that "it must be just you, no one else has complained". They had a 2 for 1 food offer on so we found a table and decided to order a quick bite to eat - well, we tried to! I went to the bar to order but we were told to come back in half an hour as there was no one cooking until then but I noticed that meals kept arriving on the tables around us. When I asked the waitress about this, she said that she wasn't sure but she would find out. After fifteen minutes and no response, I went back to the bar to find out and was told that they could take my order but that they had no idea when I get my meals as "we've taken a load of others in the last ten minutes and the manager said we can't take any more yet" So other people have ordered when we were told that we couldnt? Time to go! One of the pubs in the city centre at home is run by Stonegate too and Ive always enjoyed them but this one doesnt seem bothered . Perhaps the local people accept it but I certainly wouldn't and the attitude of the staff made me feel unwelocome in my home town.

Visited the Crown on a sunday evening with my adult son. Extensive menu of what you would call pub food. Went to order and was delighted to hear that that on a sunday all food is 50% off. Brilliant value and the food was basic but ok. The pub was busy, the service was friendly and efficient and I later spoke to the pub manager to compliment the staff. The pub as a good selection of real ales and had a good atmosphere. So if you are in Huddersfield on a sunday and want somewhere pleasant to eat and drink The Crown is the place to be.
