I visited the cafe this morning with my mother for breakfast. We was very disappointed with food and service. We both ordered avocado eggs benedict, portion was small for the price, came out luke warm and the whole meal was bland in general. The meals came out seperate, mine came first and by the time I had about finished eating mine, my mums came out. I called staff over for the bill and got ignored, no one came to check on how the food was and if we needed anything. When I asked for the bill no one still bothered to ask if we enjoyed our food so I just left the money on the table and left. No one seemed bothered - I won’t be returning.

I've visited Cafe Capri twice in the last month. Both times, the food has been good, and the waitress attentive and helpful. However, the more mature lady, perhaps the manager, displays extremely poor customer service, to the point of being rude. Due to this, we shall not visit again, which is a shame as the food has been good.

Nice place...space for marriage reception and public events

12 months ago, a breakfast here was £7.99 and it included a coffee. Now, it’s £11.50 and doesn’t include a coffee. So, if you add the cost of a hot drink to your breakfast, it’s around £14.00 which is almost double the price! I understand that costs have increased for all businesses and supplies are more expensive, but this is ridiculous. In recent visits, I’ve had a burger that was so perfectly round and flat, I truly believe it was a frozen burger. I’ve also had the chicken tikka wrap, which was average (chicken in a tikka curry sauce) and came with a handful of chips, half of which were over cooked and couldn’t be eaten. I’ve also had the hot beef sandwich, which was very bland and not very tasty at all. The breakfasts are nice enough, but not £14 nice!!! We won’t be back unfortunately; this used to be our go-to meeting place but we’re all in agreement that not only is it now too expensive, the food is average. The two ladies serving are lovely and very friendly, but we also waited 40 minutes when there were only 3 other small groups (two couple and one small family) in there.

I can't say enough good things about this place, we came early as a decent sized group for my birthday lunch celebrations. The coffee and teas are hothot, which I'm told is important, the food was lovely and fresh and the team were super friendly and attentive. They had written a cute little sign on the chalk board on the table and we sat for the full lunch sitting, opening presents and eating. Really a gorgeous little cafe, big enough to accommodate groups, while still feeling cosy and friendly. The playlist was on point too :D

Had lunch with a friend. Not been there for a good 18 months. Wow has this place gone down hill ! ! The latte coffees were the worst we’ve ever tasted, had a strange aftertaste. The whole place was grubby to say the least. Tables sticky, salt and pepper pots greasy. Door to bathrooms in the cafe absolutely filthy, the lavatory no better. This cafe has really gone down hill, it looks neglected and unloved. How on earth it has been awarded a 5 for /cleanliness/hygiene is beyond me ! It’s such a shame, won’t be returning in a hurry ! !

We had chicken gyros and tagliatelle king prawns which was so nice and fresh just like you would get in the restaurant. After visiting the cafe shop a few times we thought we’d give the home dining a go, can’t recommend them both enough. Definitely worth a visit!

First time using the Capri at woodkirk and found the portions smaller than the vine, food was not as tasty and the puddings we ordered where still partially frozen. Will use the Capri at the vine in future.

Lovely plush cafe & service was friendly & food superb. We started with coffees then had brunch , my friend had croissant & I had Eggs royal which were probably the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely recommend & will definitely return. Well

This place had been recommended to us by several different friends since it opened, I’m so glad we listened to them and gave it a try for ourselves, from the moment we walked through the door the staff were great, as busy as it was the two guys who run the place even made time come over and speak to us which was a really nice touch. We started with coffee which was very nice, I had a Capri Omelette and Paul had a full English breakfast, we both agreed that we thought the food was delicious. We’d give the Cafe Capri Horbury Bridge a ten out of ten, it was a fantastic experience all round, we enjoyed it so much we’ve booked a table agin for next two Saturdays.

We ordered from the Home Dining since it’s reopened, and it was delicious. I recommend the Carbonara and Margherita pizza! The delivery was quick and the food was still hot (not like some takeaways). Definitely recommend, thanks Capri 😁

Staff really friendly, unfortunately on this, and the only time for me, occation scrambled eggs on toast was a flop, more raw bits than cooked.

Had a lovely tuna and onion panini with fries, a cold diet coke and then a really nice latte. Nice atmosphere, lovely coffee.

We were a table of 6 and we waited 45 mins to get our food and it wasn't up to the usual standard of Capri. The eggs weren't runny, the temps were warm, the bread was tough as if it has been standing over night and it seemed like we could've done better at home. And then they added a gratuity without asking . A gratuity is payed for going above and beyond, delivering exemplary service with exemplary food. Not something they feel automatically entitled to, to make people pay without being aware of it. They need an experienced leader who can control both the quality of service and food. Maybe it was an off day but it was a shame it didn't meet our expectations especially on fathers day.

Called in today for breakfast , excellent service and amazing Eggs Benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs. 5*

After a poor start....long wait of 25mins ....cold soup arrived which had to be sent back🙄....no ciabatta bread accompaniment which was on the menu🙄 ...it came back just ok with a slice of bread !!!!🙄 Not impressed but will give it another try 👍

Quite possibly the worst takeaway meal I've ever had. We live 5 mins away from Capri Woodkirk and the food was cold, soggy. Chips formed a solid block when tipped out of the container. I ended up just eating the chicken from the kebab. The rest went in the bin. £35 quid wasted. Never again.

We have ordered many times from Capri and its always been okay..you dont expect a home delivery to be piping hot of course its not going to be, but i also dont expect two pizzas and sides to be clap cold...that cold cheese had congealed. I hate leaving negative reviews because i know how hard business's are trying to cope in these tough times..but if you cant deliver in the time stated give a realistic time and deliver the expensive food that will be edible or at least warm...sorry Capri but you didnt do well to an existing customer who was a fan.

Placed an order for delivery 2 hours in advance. After it got past 30 minutes late i rang to find out where my order was. They had cancelled it without telling me because i live too far away but yet the app said i didn’t. Bad customer service

Returned to this cafe after many years and pleased to find still there. Travelled from Methley and went for a nice relaxed lunch. Ordered coffees and food at about 2pm waitress took our order and brought cutlery and serviettes then our coffees, we sat enjoying the sunshine looking forward to our food after about half an hour we did wonder if they had forgotten us but we're reassured by the fact that the waitress kept passing our table and knew we were waiting for food she was the only one serving so knew no one else had served us. She then started to remove furniture outside and started mopping floors by this time it was almost an hour since we had ordered our food so I went inside and asked, the lady on the till apologised and the waitress went to complain to the kitchen but no feedback to us, I said forget it we needed to make a move and just paid for the coffee. It was a wasted afternoon too late to go anywhere else and such a disappointment it might have been a nice gesture not to charge us for the coffee but they were quite happy for us to just go. We won't be returning any time soon let alone travelling to get there waste if time and petrol unimpressed ☹️

Not good to be honest. We are about 15 mins walk from woodkirk valley, but the pizza was luke warm at best when it arrived. Delivery wasn't great either, ordered for 7pm with 50 mins notice, still arrived 15 mins late. The Diavolo was tasty, but the Napoli was way too salty. There are better pizza takeaways.

This small cafe has a great menu, breakfasts, light bites, sandwiches, burgers and some main meals such as lasagne. Location is great, you can sit on the terrace or inside. Food is always great, hot beef sandwiches is one of the best around! There is also a children’s menu. The staff and service are always the same - just great. This is our go-to cafe in horbury and never disappoints.

Busy and polite staff I ordered egg royal but one of my poached eggs was under cooked and very watery. On the flip side the other was perfect and very tasty. Won't stop me going there as we all do things wrong at some time

I waited to leave a review after ordering a few times. First few orders spot on since then several times things missed or not put on the order. Today the worst food burger well over done and badly put together, the chips taste like grease. I go to the restaurants at least once a month but I'm thinking of completely stopping going for the fact iv just paid £18 for 2 very poor burgers that went in the bin i should have learnt last time

This aint your average local cafe. Its a surprise for all your senses. The esthetics, warmth of space, selection of delicious foods & drink make every visit comforting but the women behind the counter make this place truly amazing.

We've had a few takeaway orders from here now and the food is absolutely stunning, definitely recommend and will be ordering lots more in tge future. Defo our new favourite take away wowzers!! Don't change a thing!

Local cafe, beautiful coffee, and the food is good, so disappointed when I visited last week to find a long black hair in my breakfast, honestly I thought it was mine ! And moved it to the side of the plate… all was well until I came to eat the sausage, and the hair was wrapped around it, and was obviously there before cooking as I unwound it, there was a line in the sausage where it had been cooked in to it, that’s the only reason I complained, I showed the waitress the cooked in line mark on the sausage , she took it to the kitchen .. came back and said I’m sorry there’s no one in the kitchen with long hair … I again explained that you could see the mark where the hair had been cooked in but she refused to listen further, and offered to knock the price of a coffee of my bill.. I don’t quite feel that that was right, and she very clearly thought I was lying to try and get a free breakfast, I absolutely wasn’t .. as I came to pay she charged me full price, when I questioned her knocking the price of a coffee off, she told me that “ the free coffee” that comes with breakfast infact wasn’t free, because I’d ordered a large coffee with an extra shot .. ( I did say I would pay for the extra shot and was at no point told that my coffee order was not the right coffee to be part of the “ free coffee with breakfast ) . So ! I ended up paying full price for the half breakfast that I ate, before discovering the hair cooked in to the sausage, without my free coffee, ( that she did offer to give me in a take out cup ! When I questioned it ) and feeling like I was being accused of lying . You know .. I worked in catering for many years, and the fact that I was made to feel like a liar , was far worse than receiving A hair in my food. Because of this I won’t be coming again.

Sat down outside, went in for the menu, told by staff they will be right out to take our order, 10 minutes later we left. Saved £££ as the menu was very pricey.

Worst customer experience I’ve ever ever , staff need re training on the art of writing down orders and providing customers with them. First and last visit to this cafe which is unfortunate because it looks a nice little spot. Unfortunately can’t be trust to write down an order and give it to the kitchen staff. Useless!

Worst cafe experience in Horbury. Ordered Food and coffee at 10:35am the drinks came straight away, however after waiting 30 plus min still no sign of food. Just left the cafe now without eating. When I initially asked the waitresses I was told it was on its way only for 10 min later I asked another waitress and she asked what we ordered (clearly had forgot about our order). After watching them deliberate between themselves who was to blame I ended up leaving without eating any breakfast. Dealt terribly by staff, no sign of a refund for the drinks as a good will gesture. Will not be attending again with much better cafes on high Street!!!

Would never order again from woodkirk order always wrong and last order been told I couldn't have a refund or replacement unless I brought back. I drove to take back but taken to Horbury but was greeted by manger who was upset his self by how I was treated and compsated with a few bottles of prosecco and and the full kebab I ordered baring in mind we order 2/3 times a week. I will never order from capri woodkirk again. Ordered tonight from Wakefield and amazing like always thank you 😊

Have used this place a few times now and it's easily my favourite takeaway in the area. I order from Morley, so it's not exactly the closest takeaway to me but it's somehow still the fastest by far and the food is always perfect temperature-wise. Also probably the best value, only £1.50 for delivery and the food prices are extremely reasonable. The food itself is fantastic restaurant quality fare - I've tried the quattro formaggi pizza, halloumi burger and falafel gyros. All outstanding and the chips are incredible proper chunky chips too. All in all, can't recommend highly enough.

First time ordering. Reccommend by work colleague. Great food, massive chunky chips.(more like wedges). You get you pay for. Quality restaruant food delivered straight to your door.

Ordered our first takeaway meal from here tonight. Three pizzas and some chips. first attempt at delivery, toppings had slid off the pizzas. Staff were very helpful and resent the order. However, when it came again, the toppings weren't cooked through and one of the pizzas had a hair in it, also the chips were hard in the middle. Will not be using again.

Ordered from here a few times. So good! Ordered last night and food was late so we got a complimentary garlic bread which went down very well! Personally not a fan of the chunky chips but everything else is awesome

Pre ordered the meal today at 3pm for delivery at 7.30pm. Strangely i thought 4.5hrs would be enough to sort a few pizzas out . But 8.30 arrived 1 hr late already so i rang.!! Excuse was we have been really busy tonite blah blah blah. surely pre-ordered with 4.5hrs notice is enough for a few pizzas.. ohh sir we will refund 50% of the bill and your meal will arrive in 10. Which it did.. but the refund never did. So anyway the food was sub standard for the price paid wont be eating from here again..just about to enquire about refund again wish me luck.🤦‍♂️

We orded a steak meal tonight for my partners birthday . All I can stay I wow beautiful, generous portions the fillet steak melted in your mouth and soo tasty. We got chunky chips & it came with mushrooms and a tomato , sauce I got Diane & my partner got peppercorn. We loved it & will definitely order another 😋

Best takeaway food I've ever had. You get what you pay for! Great quality food, delivered on time and piping hot. Would eat from here every day if I could! Highly recommend Chicken Mardi Gras and the burgers are great too :)

I called a couple of days ago late morning for a cup of tea. I went inside and ordered a black tea and was told it would be brought to the outside table I had chosen. Nearly 20 minutes later I was just about to leave the tea arrived (you pay on departure) I squeezed and better squeezed the teabag in the teapot but all I got was a cup of what I could only say was slightly coloured hot water. The cafe was not busy so I don't understand the long wait and they really need to invest in better quality teabags. I won't be returning

Visited this restaurant with my family, we all ordered pizza’s. Not too sure what’s happened, but the food was very average. The toppings were sparse, the base was wafer thin, the content was tasteless. I have had far better from a shop bought prepackaged pizza. There was little atmosphere in the restaurant and the bar was busy and boisterous. It was also very cold in the extension where we were sat. The staff didn’t smile and when it came to paying the bill there was no thank you. Due to there being a huge choice of Italian restaurants in the area, we will never revisit this one. Manager, take note please this is constructive criticism.

My wife and I visited this pleasant cafe for the first time today, and found the food and service to be very good indeed. Sensible prices, too. We shall definitely be returning.

Had a burger. Clearly not much money spent on sourcing a fairly tasteless meat burger - there were two in the bun which shows how thin they were. On ordering was asked if wanted fried onions and mushrooms ~ on paying found out this was an extra £1.50 - not told this - which left a nasty taste in the mouth (as did the burger ). My wife watched the kitchen work hard to get her pasta dish off the bottom of the saucepan though only found one small burnt piece right at the end of her dish. More attention to detail and quality would be appreciated.

I normally visit cafe Capri often and when I do come the food is great and service is good. However, I visited yesterday and I was very disappointed with the food but I was more disappointed by the service from one of the waiters. I ordered a sandwich which came with a side of fruit and the strawberries were mouldy. I then told the waiter about it and he responded with “well it is fresh” to me that does not look fresh. He then also said to me it doesn’t have anything to do with the sandwich after I told him that it had put me off my food and we’re basically calling me a liar infront of people. I will not be coming back to cafe Capri because of this.

We always enjoy the food here. The staff are welcoming and efficient. They go out of their way to accommodate any changes to dishes and ensure you are completely happy with the food. Food is cooked fresh to order and presented excellently. Can't fault it and therefore this is a regular eating place and one of my favourites.

The meal was good but not excellent The drinks are very pricey over £3 for a soda and lime There is not as much choice as I would like Theyshould serve an early bird menu and a special menu at lunch time I thought it was pricey for what it was It was above average but not excellent Not much imagineaction with salad It is a large place and quite hard to hold a conversation Cutelery was dirty Pizza is good sauces all tasty similar menu needs tweaking I think with a little effort this place could be excellent not quite there yet but on its way
