Amazing meal. Amazing food. Good value for money. Amazing staff. Will be coming back again very soon.

Went to try for the first time a takeway just to see what the food was like. No webpage which made it difficult, no home delivery , and to top it all the food was ghastly. Lacking in depth of flavour all round disappointing, this place is stuck in the 80’s

Now renamed Bayleaf and Beyond. We stopped coming to this restaurant a year or so ago. We heard it had changed so decided to call in recently. Some of the staff are the same and the menu is very similar to when it was the Cardamon green. We were pleasantly surprised, the starters and curries were very good, it reminded us of when this restaurant was at its best pre Covid. Still has open kitchen. Prices are reasonable and there is a set menu too. Parking available. Will return…..soon.

We've been going to this restaurant for years, ate their tonight and it was a huge disappointment. Young lady served us, her customer service skills were zero. She certainly gave the impression she didn't want to be there. Didn't check if we wanted another drink, we had to ask for one. When she served our food, she slammed it on the table. She was tidying another table next to us, again, slammed the cutlery on the table, made so much noise. She clearly needs better training on how to deal with customers. Think this will have been our last visit.

Lovely meal here last night, ver tasty and no complaints at all. Great service, pleasant and courteous staff! We will definitely return. The outside of the building on the main road is a bit untidy but don’t be deceived, it’s really nice inside!

So glad I finally had a meal here after driving past for years. Been 3 times over the last 2 months. Lovely food with some different meals I’ve not seen before, lots of drinks to select from , nice staff and it’s never been over busy so never felt rushed

Our first time and not disappointed. We had two curries, rice and naan. Everything was very tasty and we couldn’t finish it all.

I have eaten here before on a couple of occasions and found it to be ok, however on Saturday I was greeted to an inch long piece of plastic in my Lamb. Told the staff, was told it was part of the wrapping. That's it, no apologies, nothing. Won't be returning.

I have dined here a few times and never been disappointed! The set menu is very well priced and the restaurant set up is stylish and spacious! The staff are very attentive and friendly and the food is good for the money! The only down side was the onion bhajis were rock hard but apart from that there was very little to complain about i will be back!

Visited cardamom green on Friday. Food good but was very rushed in ordering & eating. glasses were removed whilst they were half full too. Soft drinks were a tad expensive. We were seated by a table of 18 lads who were very loud and swearing which, along with the rushed service, spoilt it for us.

My friend & i go every few months for a curry & a catch up as we like to call it. We last went the night of the England final and had been looking forward to it all day delicious curry and a glass of wine. It wasn't meant to be we were both very disappointed, we each get a curry some rice and share. Both curries were very bland and not spicy in the slightest we still ate our meal as we were hungry and couldn't be bothered complaining as i'm not for for doing so i just wouldn't go back. We would like to go again at some point as been going a long time and has been lovely everytime just hope it is back to it's best.

We visit regularly but have noticed the curries are too variable and not always up to their usual standard. I have found the chicken pieces tough at times, the CTM has lacked flavour. We order the same curries every visit. As their prices have gone up, the saver menu has been changed and have curries we don’t like (usual meal for two plus a drink each was around £29 but is now above £50) and because of the above comments we have gone elsewhere.

Are here last week with my daughter. Great early bird menu - brilliant value for about £15.Really friendly elderly guy served us. Very laid back and obliging! I’d just say the drinks we had were a bit pricey - two small cokes for 5.50! I’d definitely go back though

we went to cardamon green tonight 4 a date night, its the first time we have been out in over a year. we both ordered lamb dishes that we were told were not available . That was fine we chose different, we had mixed starter on sizzling platter, my chicken wing was raw. we then had currys and garlic nan, mushroom rice. The currys were greasy, the naan was covered in raw garlic. we was the only people in the restaurant, noone came and asked us if everything was ok. i complained and they knocked 20 percent off the bill it was still 50 quid. not good food, service avoid

Outstanding food as always . Mix starter, Pops, Pickle tray, with Chicken Madras, Dopiaza, Jalfreizi with garlic naans and Japati s. Loads of good food. Only 20 mins to make so very handy. We will be here again next week for a take away! Very good I deed.

Heard some good things about this place. Big disappointment, if you order a madras it doesn't mean make it as hot as you can to blow your head off.A madras curry should be flavoursome and not just heat, which is what was served. The chicken tikka madras ordered by the other half was luminous red .Not a good experience

This was so disappointing, never again, firstly when ordering our take a way we were told there were no chips left!!! so we then ordered rice instead, plus 1 x chicken korma, 2x chicken Bhuna, 1x chicken tikka, Nan bread etc, what can I say, I really don’t like to be negative but the food was shocking, watery sauce, chewy chicken, what as happened to to place it used to be the best but definitely not anymore. I just feel like we’ve wasted our money.

This was a family meal for three and it was on the final £10 per person off from the Chancellor. The place was packed although it was a bank holiday, but the evening meal was booked for 5.15 pm as there were no later bookings available. We had an excellent view of the kitchen which was a hive of actvity and it was like watching a cabaret show.

We booked a table for 7pm as it was eat out to help out so very busy. Got there and no one even asked about bookings. They just queued everyone up outside in order of arrival, people who had booked, plus people who hadn’t. We sat down at 7:45 and no food arrived until 9pm. My chicken starter was raw. Imagine a raw chicken breast from a supermarket. It looked like that with spices on it. They brought me another and that one was 1/3 cooked and center raw. We left at 9 before the mains arrived. They were packing people in. No regard for Covid. No regard for cooking the food properly. It seemed to be all about profit. Awful awful experience. This was last Wednesday. This Wednesday we went to destination in Slaithwaite. Polar opposite experience. I’m guessing cardamon green may be fine, even good when quiet, but no organisation or structure when busy and no consideration for customers. Don’t take bookings if you don’t abide by them. We had booked a babysitter and got raw chicken, had to leave and have crisps at home.

Had a lovely night here. Great curry and a couple of drinks. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. Some of the best onion bajis i've had. Nice restaurant decor, was fairly quiet due to the Covid pandemic but still a good atmosphere. The only let down was there are no desserts??? We asked for a dessert menu and told there were none, what restaurant dose not have desserts? Otherwise you can get a decent meal here.

We went for the eat out help out offer on a Monday night , it was very busy which was to be expected, you had to book a table in advance so the restaurant would have known how many people would be turning up that night. We were shown to our table and half an hour later we were asked what we would like to drink ,we had been in over an hour before our starter came and it was almost two hours by the time we had our mains served, while the food was good the experience is spoilt by the long waiting times, they should have had more staff on instead of being greedy and keeping costs down at the expense of the customer. Wont be returning.

I know my curry and I’m a regular here for a reason, the staff always friendly and the food is always excellent. If you want a curry in Huddersfield this place is great, can always get in and food is always consistently of a very high standard.The Cardamon Special starter is fantastic!Highly recommended

Went with my husband and a couple of our friends and service was very slow, even though the resteraunt wasn't that busy. The waiter mixed up my husband and our friends main dish, the head waiter was apologetic and changed them with fresh dishes, but surely the waiters should know which dishes are which, the last time we were there unknown to us one of the waiters knocked my husbands coat from off the back of the chair and never picked it up, which is minor yes, but it still happened. It also lacks a disabled parking bay outside the resteraunt.

This was our first visit and we were impressed with the venue and the food. After a very loud party arrived, the attentive service we had at the beginning was virtually non existent by the end of the meal and we had to pay at the bar, but it wouldn't put us off returning as the food was very good and excellent value. The Bengali naga had a rich hot sauce and the daal saag was a lovely consistency.

We have been regular customers at Cardamon Green for some time and usually we can’t fault the food. However, we have been for dinner this evening and the food was nothing like the usual standard. We shared onion bhajis to start which were greasy and had too much flour compared to onion. For main I had chicken Duval which is normally lovely, however the stuffing seemed to be tinned mushrooms and the chicken was chewy. The mushroom rice also seemed to be made using tinned mushrooms and was not at all nice. This is such a disappointment as it’s normally so good. On a positive note, the chapatis were excellent!

We've been to Cardamon Green many times as a small party and for large birthday group. Staff are always welcoming and food is first class. Best onion bhajis ever. This is our favourite curry restaurant and we don't go anywhere else unless we're out of town. Recommended.

The food was ok nothing special chicken tikka masala was passata with chicken in it!!! The lady that served us was rude, not even a smile on her face, unable to pay with card cash only. will not hurry back !!!!!

Visited for the first time on the 27th Feb 2019 and have been twice since! Absolutely delicious food cooked exactly how we like it. Staff were fab at accommodating our 3 year old who is a fussy eater and made a dish that was just prefect for her. The set meal for £10.50 is an absolute bargain but even outside of the offer times I'd happily pay full price! Will definitely be returning again!

We had driven past Cardamon Green on numerous occasions, and thought we would give it a try. We loved the good selection and all 4 meals were VERY tasty. Seeing everything being cooked added to it. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly Well worth going and we will 100% go back again

Always a genuine greeting, either when its a takeaway or dining in the restaurant. Food is always cooked perfectly and tastes perfect.

My husband and went on with some friends of our. The food was good,but the service was a tad slack. One member of staff insisted on pushing his heated trolley past our table on doing this he knocked my husbands coat to the floor and made no attempt to apologise or pick it up for him, staff slow with drinks order an then waiter got hubby and friends curries mixed up. No disabled parking or entrance, four outer steps to get into the building and then six steep ones to get to the dining area, this was very difficult for me, so won't be going again.

Never had a bad experience at cardamon green. Delicious food, good portion sizes and perfect amount of spice and flavour. I do find some curries in Huddersfield can be quite flavourless and underwhelming, but they always get it right here. Very underrated place. Amazing and helpful staff too, always help me pick out the vegan options without making me feel like I’m being a pain.

Came to Cardamom Green tonight for a delayed birthday meal, was not disappointed. We had the two courses for £10.50 - absolutely lovely. I had the Mushroom Purée for starters followed by the Chicken Dopiaza. I was a bit full and couldn’t finish the main course so brought some home for tomorrow! Couldn’t fault it!,

We LOVE cardamon green. We go there regularly. The menu is extensive, the service is always so friendly and the curries are out of this world. Can’t recommend highly enough

The first time I have visited and I was really impressed with the food, service and look of restaurant. I normally go to Bradford for my currys as it's difficult to find a good restaurant in Huddersfield, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really recommend lamb chops they were beautifully cooked. I also had a chicken Palak karahi which was fresh and very tasty. I will definitely be back my son loved the fish tank which kept him occupied during time the food was getting cooked. I would definitely recommend

been looking forward to this birthday do for while as had not been here before, looks a nice place but must a been chefs night off,got off to a bad start as it was cold inside with air con blowing so 2 sisters kept their coats on, chicken tikka massala is supposed to have chicken tikka in it(not a bowl of tomato soup with bits of boiled chicken in,) all starters deep fat fried and chips tasted of the fish pakora as its all done in same frier(chips need to be cooked seperate and taste a chips) my sister complained of the look and taste of her dish and the scuffy looking server asked if she wanted another(not if looks like that one)well over £100 and they charged £1 seperate for an extra japaiti. wont be back thats for sure, mango spice from now on.

Wow! Need we say anymore... we escaped the Christmas tradition for the night and turned up without a booking lucky enough to get a table (Boxing Day) with friendly welcoming staff, a great menu and even better quality and tasting food, it’s probably the best curry we’ve had in a long time and visited a lot of places around the world! Highly recommend the East Indian with chicken. Very well priced to finish off with, we definitely recommend it to those reading this review and will be back soon.

didnt book called in on off chance saturday evening thay managed to get us in and so glad thay did it wer busy with some large party's. but just been 2 of us we wer ok.the service and food wer great.the menus not massive and some of the prices wer higher than most places wev been but it would not stop us going again as what we orderd wer gorgeouse. both had starters main and sides.couldnt fault anything.nice wine too.thay do a tawa a big dish with starters,main side's to share hoping to try that when we go again.this place gets the big thums up from us.

This is the second time we have been here and both times the service has been brilliant and the food has been out of this world. There has been a very friendly welcoming and very good with the kids.

Driven past this local restaurant numerous times but only recently chose it for a take-away and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the interior, we will definitely try here to eat in next time we fancy an indian meal out. The take away was great quality too and sensibly priced.

Went to cardamom green for a graduation party and the food was absolutely amazing! Very fresh and not too spicy. The staff are really friendly and attentive to what you want. Really recommend it for a good curry. Prices are good too.

Not been here in a long time so thought we'd give it a try as we fancied a change.

We were greeted upon arrival, taken to a table for two and promptly served with poppadoms and pickle tray. We chose to order from the set menu costing £10.50 per person and we were definitely not disappointed. The starters came on plates which were garnished with plenty of salad, the mains were delicious and more than enough served, and the naan bread and chapattis tasted wonderful too. All in all, a great dining experience and we will most definitely be making a return visit!

Everything about our visit was good. Lovely decor - particularly liked the seat that looked like a car front. Good service. All staff were very friendly and polite. Delicious food and plenty of it. Good range of drinks too. Will certainly be going back.

It was good genuine Indian food slightly hotter than average but we didn’t mind that. Open kitchen so you see the chiefs work the beer a bit high priced but we will definitely return.

We have been to this restaurant before however on our visit last night we had a terrible experience and would not be going back there again.

We are now regulars here, calling 3/4 times a month. The food is prepared in an open kitchen and our choices are really good and freshly prepared. We have tried lots of different options over the last couple of years and there is a good variety of curries, breads and starters. The staff are attentive and organised, it’s clear they care about their customers experience. We have dined in numerous restaurants in and around Huddersfield.... this is our favorite.

My husband loves mushroom bhuna - it wasn't on the menu but the waiter said the chef would make this. We are vegetarians and there was a decent choice. The staff are great - the right level of attentiveness and really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. We were there early so it was pretty quiet which suited us. Everything is reasonably priced.

Called in here with my wife and son on a Friday evening. Lovely starters and mains. Mine was a bit hot but very nice. Friendly staff, nice pace bringing the food, not rushed.

We regularly get a take away from the Cardamon Green, and have never been disappointed. Friendly attentive staff, and when we have treat ourselves to a meal in the restaurant, it has always been of a great standard.

We had been meaning to try this restaurant but never had then someone told us it was very good so we went mid week last week.Lovely surprise,so beautifully decorated inside,spacious,relaxing and we recognised the family from a previous very good Asian restaurant. Food excellent as always. We just had the budget menu £10.50 ,2 courses and it was too much for us ( bagged up for us). Next time we will just have a main course. Prices are very reasonable for those.

Thank you to the whole team at Cardamon Green for such wonderful food, service and support at our third charity curry evening on 3rd June! We booked out almost all the restaurant for The Mayors Appeal (2017-18) Dementia UK fundraising event which made for a great atmosphere and lots of fun too. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed all three of these nights so much so that we hope to now make an annual event!

As Rasoi was closed in Lindley due to Eid, we had find another restaurant quickly, as we were really looking forward to our meal. We decided on Cardamon Green as we had passed it, but never been in. We were pleasantly

12 of us had a family supper and enjoyed the evening. The place itself is nicely decorated and feels spacious. The service was good and the food arrived in reasonable time and was enjoyed by all including the youngsters.

What a find! Having recently moved to Lepton we were looking for a new, good, local Indian/Asian restaurant and spotted this place on the roadside opposite the retail park. Gave it a try one Wednesday and opted for the bargain menu (available Sun-Thurs) which offered good value and plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and polite, service was quick and efficient but we weren't rushed. Portions are huge and everything is tasty. My keema matter (mince with peas) was delish and the naan was soft and buttery with crispy edges. Yummy. We both liked the place so much we went back the following week. Including a pint of Kingfisher each it cost just under £30 for 2 courses each including rice and a large naan bread. Took the leftovers home and had curry, rice and naan lunch for 2 the next day :) :) Nothing better. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a curry on way home as it was getting late and we needed to eat.I will keep this short and simple . the place is very clean,you can see the food being cocked, prices are very far and more important the food is spot on very very nice food.The service is very good just a bit slow if busy.

We went here for my brothers birthday, I found the lady serving behind the bar, quite miserable, I don't think se smiled once, it was like she didn't want to be there. The waiter was helpful and friendly. I had lamb chops for starter which were okay, lamb saag was tasty, the naan was not great, a little thin and hard in places. My son had tikka masala, plenty of chicken in it but, I don't think I've seen a redder curry in my life, it was bright red, far too much red dye in it. I don't think I'd rush back, there are much nicer places to have a curry in Huddersfield

We visited with a large group of friends for a celebration on Easter Sunday, I was surprised how full it was. It is a very large restaurant and needs a lot of people to fill. However based on the visit, I don’t think it is an issue. I am not a great curry lover so probably not the best person to review, I thought the food was very average. We had a variety of dishes across all of the group and one couple had the mixed special which arrived ceremoniously in a large platter and looked amazing. Service excellent and staff very friendly. It’s Bette ran average but not quite a Very Good.

My wife and I had had the restaurant recommended by friends. The serving staff were extremely pleasant. The place was very presentable and clean. The food, however, was only average in my opinion, Starters were a bit bland (mixed samosas) but the main meal was fine. Sadly, the garlic naan had never seen garlic.

I went here with my family 2 weeks ago. It was our first visit. It was busy being weekend however the service was not very good. It took us ages to make the order and to actually be served the food. Eventually the starters arrived and when we questioned about the slow service, we were told that they were busy and can't do anything. Then it took them another 40 min or so after the starters to serve the mains to us. The food over all was good but the service was a let down. To top things up, staff started cleaning the cutlery in front us and the noise really put us off, we then decided to skip the dessert and leave. Not too sure about the hygiene side of things, even though the front house of the restaurant was clean, we noticed staff in the kitchen ( open kitchen ) climbing on top of the sink and cooker with their shoes on trying to clean the canopy.

Visited Cardamon Green on a recent weekend for a meal however we were not happy with the service. This is my first review as I usually do not write reviews but had to for this one, I was angry. We had planned to go to cinema after what was supposed to be a nice meal. However, we missed the film due to extremely slow service. Waited nearly 1 hour 20 min for the meal to arrive. The drinks came fast and so did the papodoms. Nobody was taking our order or acknowledged that we were here until we called one of the waiter who seemed very busy and was in a rush. The food was ok but not the best. Indian Naga curry was nice and spicy, Chicken Tikka Masala was bland. Nan and rice were fine however, had to wait ages for the nan to arrive. On the whole, we were disappointed. Will not be going back.

I took my family recently on a Saturday night. This was our visit to this place. It was recommended by my friend. The restaurant itself is clean and big. Great atmosphere however, I can not say the same for the service. The service was very slow. We waited over an hour to get our mains. I understand it was busy but over an hour for food? Really? They seem to be more interested in takeaways then indoor customers. The food was not all that, may be rushed as dishes were dripping from the sides. It was very hard to catch attention from staff as they were running around, may be understaffed compared to the number of customers. Over all a bad experience.

Went back to this place again on Saturday 27/01/18 after a long time thinking they may have improved . I was wrong!! Made a big mistake in giving them another chance. The service was apalling!! Waited over 20 min to give our order. The starters came in fairly good time given the fact that they were busy and disorganised. The starters were ok I guess. It took ages for the mains to come out. I could've cooked raw meet myself and ate in this time. The mains were just slammed on our table as the waiter was in a hurry. It then took another 5 min for nans to come. We ordered boild rice which was hard like plastic. The mains were inconsistent. We had 2 same dishes, one dry and another watery. The staff were marching around like headless chickens. Table next to us was also very angry and heard them wanting to leave. We also did not get our popodoms. At the end we asked for the bill which also took ages to arrive. Lot of the staff at this place are very inexperienced apart from one or two. Enough is enogh.. we will not be going there again. Our friends feel the same. Shame!! What a nice place it used to be.

We walked down to Cardonom Green and had a, fabulous evening. The staff are always welcoming and the food is delicious. We had starters, main course and wine.

Party of 4 on a Saturday night. Friendly welcome and for sat down on time even though the place was packed (we did book). Order taken quite quickly which was nice, and starter came in reasonable time. 3 of us has Chicken Tikka which was possibly the best I've ever had, so succulent and tasty. The other had the 3 Samosas which was also good. Mains took a little longer but not too long and the Naga Bengali, Chicken Dopiaza, Chicken Bhuna and Chicken Rogan Josh all went down very well... plenty of meat but also plenty of sauce which is always a good thing. Service good too. Overall a great meal and we will be back.

i recently visited the restaurant with friends.two of us ordered the chicken tikka .when I say chicken tikka I meant to say the restaurants version.it looked and tasted disgusting purple looking don't know how they managed this colour.the taste which I sampled with a small spoon was vile.i think the chef got some purple non toxic paint put 5 small pieces of chicken in it and a carton of full cream.the rice seemed to be microwaved stodgy and sloppy.the waiter came round after the meals and asked the two of us who had this vile muck if we would like a bag to take it home.??the only place this belonged was sellafield nuclear plant.please do yourself a favour do not go anywhere near this place its a dissaster

We had a Pool Team Christmas meal here and I have to say that the food and service were excellent! It is particularly nice to be able to see the kitchen and meals being prepared. The overall cost was reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. Will certainly go again.

We come here after football, every other week. The food keeps getting better. We have the same every week now. 2 poppadoms, 2 pickle trays, 4 TAWA’s, 2 beers each. Works out about £20 each for 8 people.

First visit at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. 8 of us ate here on Saturday night. The restaurant was full and there was a nice atmosphere. We had popadoms and chutneys while we picked our 2 courses. I shared a sizzling mixed starter which was lovely and would definitely recommend. We shared rice and naans with our curries but they weren’t needed and I struggled to eat much, very filling! It is all reasonably priced and we paid £65 a couple including drinks ( and there were a lot of drinks ). The staff were very friendly and the young lady called Felicity was an excellent waitress. We normally choose a different Indian restaurant each year, but I would be happy to dine here again!

When we first entered this restaurant we were impressed with the beautiful décor and the space...really refreshing to find an Asian restaurant with lots of space between tables and colourful (...but tasteful) décor. Good choice of food and service is prompt but not pushy. I loved the fact that the kitchen is open for everyone to see...looked like some knowledgeable staff were at work here.

Visited as a group of 4 and the restaurant was absolutely heaving and we could sense the stress this was having on the staff. We have always had first class service from here but for the first time we felt rushed to order drinks and food. No draught lager but all in all it was ok. It lacked the humour we normally receive but the food is always good. Not put off because of this as I guess this was a one off

I have eaten a lot of curries in a lot of Indian restaurants, and what I love are those that actually create dishes that have a real character and flavour. The Cardamon Green does all that. It backs onto an industrial area, which isn't very picturesque but makes parking easy, but once you're inside, it's very spacious and pleasant. There's a huge aquarium with some very large, expensive tropical fish (I hope they aren't stripping reefs for them!) (and that they look after the fish very well.) The kitchens are open and well designed so it's quite interesting seeing what's going on. Staff are helpful and good at what they do. Prawn Puree starter was excellent - king prawn pieces in a well balanced sauce & very tasty. Methi gost or, lamb cooked in fenugreek, was also excellent. Very tender lamb & delicious. Rather too much of it, but can't complain about that.£20 bill - all good.

Fab food and service, a little slow because its all made to order, well worth the wait every time. Enjoy the night and relax, the beer is good also.

Just arrived back home from this extremely pleasant and friendly restaurant, the staff are professional and go to great lengths to ensure your looked after from the moment you walk through the door to the moment you leave, The food as always is well presented and tastes as great as it looks, the restaurant is cozy and elegantly decorated with the biggest and most amazing tropical fish tank I've ever seen , and an open view of the kitchen and the chefs preparing and cooking your meal displaying big flashes of flames and the sizzle sounds of food being cooked is mouthwatering and nice to be able to observe , all of which set the mood of your meal whatever the occasion .

Visited on Saturday night and very busy , but taken to table straight away. Had to wait a little while for food , but hey you can always have another drink.Had a starter for two which was very nice and Lamb bhuna for main which was a huge portion and very good .The take aways are also excellent.

The Mrs had already been but not myself and since we had moved into a new house nearby we decided that a trip is a must! It wasn't busy but just a nice buzz about the place. The layout is chilled with some nice furniture and I was fortunate to be looking into the open planned kitchen where I could see the tandoori pit and all the goings on, I knew I was in for a treat! There was a set menu for £10.50 which was good as I wasn't in the mood for lots of choice. Chicken tikka to start and a lamb dopiaza with a garlic naan and some pops and pikx. I ate the lot and for me that doesn't normally happen as I tend to get giddy with the popadoms and have no room at the last hurdle! I don't know if it was because it was quiet but the food tasted so clean and fresh! Great staff great service! Top marks and I'll be back.

Ordered a take away. Chicken bhuna was rock hard chicken in tomato sauce.What's the point of taking it back as your evening meal is ruined!!!!

Great curries, the service is friendly. I didn't realize until reading through some of the other reviews on here that they do an early evening deal, I only ever visited the establishment after 6pm and i would be curious to know what time the deal finishes? and on what days it runs? I would say its quite expensive, the drinks make it expensive! Food quality and taste is amazing though that's why the pricing has put me off a little!

We have often visited this restaurant mid week and always have a lovely meal. The mid week menu is very reasonable and great value.

Went here for dinner on a Sunday night with my family. A group of about 8 at another table made the restaurant a bit noisy, but not a big deal. Staff were polite and efficient. Orders were taken by the owner himself, who was serious but funny in his own way. Food quite good, especially the naan and chicken satay.

We were a party of 7 adults and 6 children on an early 5pm Sunday evening! Despite some contrary kids the front of house staff couldn't do enough.Early Bird is a fixed price, includes a starter and a main course and was excellent value for money. Since I'm a Yorkshireman with short arms and deep pockets AND I was footing the bill for this evening out take it from me I don't heap this sort of praise lightly.Would definitely visit again when next visiting family, without question!

Excellent meal at Cardamon Green on 9th July. Dishes a little bit different but all delicious and great service. Highly recommended

Having eaten there several times, I find the food consistently excellent.Nothing is too much trouble, I only eat small amounts and they always offer a take away service of your left overs.You can have a starter as a main at the same time as your friends have their main.

Used to visit this place regularly but will now stop. The food quality has gone down, the portions are not same. Service is not up to scratch as there is now less staff. We went on a weekend and 2 guys were running round like headless chicken. On leaving which was around 8.30 ish we notice many staff were in the bar while 2 guys running on the main hall! We asked one of the girls for advise on a dish, she had no clue and was supposed to come back to us and never did. Only one man is taking order. We had to wait ages to give our order! When food arrived, they staggered and not bought together. My husbands food got cold by the time mine arrived! Then waited another few minutes for nans to arrive. The atmosphere of the restaurant is good and we love going there but in recent times it has gone down.

In organising this fundraising curry evening we could not have asked for more from the meal and service at Cardamon Green. In organising our event for the three charities Dementia UK, The Alzheimer's Society and Help for Heroes the staff met with us in advance, listened to our requirements and then provided an excellent 3 course meal, perfect table arrangements and an attentive service to the very end of the evening. Special requests were also catered for so everyone was very happy indeed. It is absolutely fantastic to have such a wonderful restaurant on our doorstep here in Kirklees.

Lovely interior, very clean. Staff very welcoming. The kids love the Mocktails. The menu is varied, we have tried most dishes and all very tasty.

My family regularly go here and it's one of my favourite restaurants. I recently had a meal with some friends here for my birthday. Everyone loved the food, from those who weren't as keen on spice who got kormas and tikkas to others like myself that ordered extra chillies on our curries. The waiters were great at offering us more drinks when needed. The only problem was that there was so many of us, it was a bit difficult to talk to everyone as the table was so long.

Booked for 4, then called and asked for it to be upped to 6, this didn't get written down so we ended up with a round a square table stuck together. Service seemed slow particularly with drinks. Food was ok, not the worst but not the best either. Seemed to just be groups of drunks shouting on over each other.

We eat here fairly regularly, and have always had a great curry. I am trying to diet at the moment and wanted a lighter option, so went for the sea bass on the special menu - it was a great choice, grilled in spices with salad and a tomato curry style sauce in a pot on the side and rice. Service and staff always pleasant and very efficient, the waitress even remembers which wine we drink. Would highly recommend
