I reviewed on JustEat on the 25/05/2024 Delivery was good. Chicken tikka jalfrezi too red, chicken jalfrezi was nice, pilau rice underwhelming. Seekh kebab was chicken and not lamb or sheep, with brown lettuce. Pizza was average. The chicken tikka and chips had brown lettuce and was sparse with the chicken. The mix starter only had 3 onion bhajis and should have 4. The shami kebab was dreadful and 1 of the samosas were burnt. Overall disappointed. Big Chef replied Thanks for the lovely detailed review Dean. I think most of the negativity you’ve pointed out comes down to personal taste or pickiness. Pilau rice can’t be underwhelming, it’s just plain rice like what were you expecting? Seekh kebab is chicken, we’ve never advertised it as being lamb or sheep 🤔 lettuce is freshly cut every day so definitely not brown but it was served with the kebab so could explain the slight colour change. You also had a whopping 40% off your meal as gratitude from us. Nevertheless, we’re sorry about your disappointment. Now to call my review was negative due to pickiness is outrageous. Firstly pilau rice is not plain rice, that we be boiled rice, I was expecting subtle ground rice spice flavour. Most people expect seekh kebabs to be lamb or sheep certainly not chicken which you don't state and you should. Your lettuce was brown as it was in the sparse chicken tikka and chips, no brown in that meal. The chicken tikka jalfrezi should not have a red sauce that's just lazy cooking, it should have red on the chicken tikka and a brown sauce with peppers. Finally you didn't mention anything about your average pizza or that I had 3 onion bhajis and not 4 or even about the burnt samosa. The way you speak or write about customers tells people a lot about what type of business you are, furthermore as of 1 November 2022 you are a 3 star hygiene rating. Saturday 10 May 2025 Delivery great. Samosas, pilau rice and chicken jalfrezi good. Chicken tikka and chips had good amount of sauce but no salad and chicken tikka was not as tasty as it used to be, it lacked the normal delicious flavour. Since you’re a customer who’s hard to please, it’s brilliant to hear you enjoyed the samosas, pilau rice, and chicken jalfrezi. As for the chicken tikka, we haven’t changed our recipe, but we can definitely make it saucier for you in future if that’s how you like it. With the chicken tikka &chips, salad is only included if selected when ordering, so just be sure to tick that option next time. Thanks again for ordering with us! Firstly I am not hard to please and finally I did select the option for salad for the chicken tikka and chips, as you can see from the image, which means you forgot to add the salad meaning you are not checking the order thoroughly and are blaming me the customer. I think the way you respond to customers still needs vast improvement, you make the customer feel like they have done wrong and you are right and never wrong, which is a bad approach to take in a customer service industry.

Food was very nice, fresh, good portion size, and well priced. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there wasn't enough salad, but the little salad i did get was fresh and crisp. service was friendly fast and relaxed. Probably better to pre order and collect or order for delivery as the shop customer area was a bit hectic with delivery drivers collecting orders.

I ordered my food when it came on time might i add the service was excellent the food was beautiful and I love the way you put chips in a separate paper bag and the drinks on side of the just eat bag so the cold drinks don't upset your food it's the small things that count

Absolutely shocking waited over 2 hour for food called the restaurant to be told it was 5 minutes away called again 20 minutes later to be told they had to send a special driver because we are so far away (12 minutes) manager come on the phone telling me it's people like me moaning than ruins there business do not order

Over 2 hour late rang and told it was 5 minutes away didnt show up so hungry and out of pocket do not order from here waste of money and time

Driver arrived just after 6pm, which was the correct delivery time, however the order was missing the pizza so we had to wait for that to be delivered meaning it was late and my son had to eat separately to the rest of the family.

These have become my Friday night / Saturday night kebab place for a weekend wind down. Prices are reasonable and the meal always tastes good. Only negative is they sometimes miss sauced ordered.

Ordered: Butter chicken curry, pilau rice, chips, plain nan, 4 popadoms 2 mint sauces £18 - incredible value. And amazing quality, always fresh and hot. The curry had lots of large chicken pieces. This fed two of us both very hungry but not when we finished. stuffed! Thank you to all at Big chef 👍🏻

0 stars were not available. So 1 stars it is. This is the second time this has happened to us. I ordered via Deliveroo. Delivery was due 11.30pm. I called at 11.40. On its way. It wasn’t. Called at midnight. It was closed. Starving and annoyed. Won’t be ordering again.

1st time visiting, lovely food, plenty of food and great flavours, collection -excellent service from staff, will definitely come again, thank you :)

Over an hour late (no apology or explanation offered), poppadoms & naan bread missing, onion bhajis burnt, salad was just lettuce, mint sauce was in the tiniest of tubs, no cutlery provided (had to eat with hands). Looks like it's a premium rate number to either discourage people from calling them or to make even more money out of them. This is the first & last time we'll be using this takeaway.

the food is always excellent from here the burgers are beautiful the stir fry donner is always my order Ionly thing was I only received 2 cans of pepsi should've been 3 also I ask for chilli sauce and received garlic mayo so I had no sauce for my kebab.

The food was actually alright but was very let down when it came and all the food was cold so we had to air fry/microwave everything and things like the fries and sides was inedible because they had gone cold and when you’re placing an order nearly £80 you don’t expect to have to reheat yours and your families meals and waited nearly 2.5hours for it xx

When ordering delivery time showed as 35 mins, soon as we paid this went to an hour and a half. It eventually took over 2 hrs for the full order to be delivered. The first bit came around 1hr 40 from ordering, they forgot the pizza,that came 2hrs in.

food here is always lovely and hot and delicious, this place is our go too for a takeaway x I do think though i did not get a large donner and chips but we did end up with a free pizza that kids enjoyed so thankyou for that x

Ordered 40 mins before they closed and they accepted the order so I could not cancel and I was under the impression it was being made however I’m sat here an hour and a half later with just eat telling me it has been delivered yet nothing has arrived. The restaurant has now closed and I can’t reach anyone and just eat will not allow me to refund the full thing DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Great experience here, couldn't ask for more. I had a big order with a pizza, double patty burger, done kebab and cheesy fries. everything was there, so don't worry about the comments saying they didnt get what they ordered. food was great, pizza and kebab being my favourite and will definitely be buying them again. 10/10 oh, and delivery was even a few minutes early :)

The food was almost 2 hours late, after numours phone calls, the restaurant called the delivery driver and it was delivered to the wrong address.

Food delicious as always however arrived cold. Will always return but heavily disappointed by lack of good will offering to compensate a 2 hour wait with false update on the justeat app

Order at 6.35pm given 40-55mins delivery, got 3 order delayed texts, after the 3rd time past asked for update said by 21.40 called at 21.50 to be told it’s now left arrived 10pm .. guy on phone didn’t care when I said my little one was now asleep so not needed he said well 55 mins is just an estimate … so 3hrs25mins is normal and ok? Well we are busy 🙄 didn’t care that food would just b wasted and rest isn’t very warm!

tried the takeaway out as it had an offer, as its pricey, but after eating my food it would has been worth it. the food is tasteful and cooked just right. I'll defo order again.

Chicken Tikka Fantastic but the Fries didn’t taste fresh and were quite hard. The Chicken Tikkq pieces on the chips are delicious but would recommend ordering the Medium size rather than large as it’s not much bigger to be honest.

pre-ordered for a time to suit us, ordered in plenty of time for it to be on time, food arrived slightly later than requested but was of outstanding quality and enjoyed by all.

Ordered at 6;11pm food didn’t arrive till 8;15pm. Got told they would knock some money off to then trying to charge full price. When unwrapping food kebab and rice was cold. Also found a black hair in kebab considering my partner is bald and I’m ginger. Called back to be told no one works here with black hair… I’ve been in this shop many many times and I know for a fact they don’t wear hair nets. Man on the phone then put the phone down. Rude service & disappointing food.
