Indian Nights in Kirklees

Came here the other day and had a lovley experience, the owner was amazing and very welcoming the food here is better than any other curry place I’ve been to, will definitely be coming here again!

Ordered for the first time on Just Eat - just had to put the whole order in the bin, hate wasting food, and can't believe this is served to people ! so disappointed- ordered paya , meat pilau and sweet rice with rotis - awful and inedible - tasted like they'd made a horrible thick curry Gravy like there was sugar or something sweet in it and thrown the paya in and then thrown hard not fully cooked rice into the same meat gravy and called it meat pilau lol ! The roti's were not fresh at all and were hard and chewy - sweet rice awful ! Probably the worst take away I've ordered in my life as nothing was good enough to eat - went by all these good reviews and couldn't believe what I got ! , what a complete waste of money - disgusting, I have never given such a bad review and hate wasting food but had no choice -

Excellent but could the owner start to understand that condiments should be free e.g. chutney at least include 2 in small takeaways and 3 in large takeaways. Sorry to say ordered 3 times this month and standards of curries has fallen. All curries are watery and it seems the quality affects the taste. Used to love the chutneys but now they have becoming watery and taste is so different. Indian nights chutneys and curries were best now we are looking elsewhere. May 2024

Disappointing quality of food. Service was good but would not order again. Ordered pakora starter, And was microwaved to heat up. Very bland curry (Chicken madras & Chicken Khari). No chapatis sent with order either but charged for.

Indian Nights has to be one of the best places for a curry around here. They are always consistent. I would recommend chicken masala or chicken tikka masala!

Just order roghan josh and sent pieces of meat in crushed onions salt and chillies mixture with onion stips on top. No way near called normal handi never mind roghan josh. Price on line shows 9.20 but charge more. On website it says free delivery over £10 order in 2 mile radius but when I call back the owner said I charge £1 delivery. Mix started for 2 should have everything similar 2 but it didn't. It was not even fresh taste. Ridiculous tasteless and manorless food. I didnot even eat as dont feel like eating. I wish I can say please come and take it back and eat yourself so you know how tasteless it is.

My 10 year old daughter and I went to eat in this afternoon. She’s a vegetarian and we struggle to find an Indian restaurant to cater for her other than vegetables. The guys her went out of their way to make her a curry that wasn’t on their menu. After checking that Quorn chicken pieces bought from Tesco by myself were indeed halal and contained no meet they took them to their kitchen and made her a delicious meal . We struggle finding food that she will eat so it was a real pleasure to watch her clear her plate and ask if we could take the rest home . Can not thank and recommend these guys enough. Oh and my Karahi was beautiful too!

Absolutely disgusting ordered 2x chicken burgers witch were raw and soggy,chips were burnt too. Spoke to someone prior who was very rude never ordering again and definitely not a place to recommend

Chicken tikka masala signature dish been eating for many years taste the same (minced chicken) and consistent always been a regular customer , recommend with tandoori roti , delivery and eat in prices are different, nice clean atmosphere and chef/owner is friendly, sometimes card machine is temperamental so be sure to have cash, overall chicken masala signature dish which fails to dissapoint!

What an awful experience we had last night after visiting this restaurant. The Cheif needs to find another job. Horrible food. 3 of us visited this Resturant as we had gone to visit a friend of ours at ice stone, we were hungry and thought we would try a nearby Resturant to eat. There was a sole lady to greet us and the place was totally empty when we entered. We ordered starters and main course meal. The popodoms had been cooked in old oil. Chicken pakora were off and smelt. The lamp chops had been boiled and had no taste to them. The lentals we got as a side dish had no taste at all. The chicken masala that had been recommended by the lady was the same , they had been minced meat and was tasteless. How can anyone spend time and make food which is not edible at all. We just got up , went to the counter asked for the bill , we told the lady that the food was not good at all. The chicken pakoras were off and that nearly made us sick. She still charged the full bill which we paid in full and the change told her to keep it also. Don’t waste your money, Avoid this place and go some place else.

What an experiance we had, 3 of us went their for a meal, the food was discusting. Food came, chicken pokora were off, no taste to the food. We just got up and paid in full and walked out, I would recomend avoid this place.

Another fantastic meal delivered tonight, I've no idea why I leave it so long every time. As it's the best asian style curry around for miles me and the wife are 2 happy people

Have to say it’s the best curry place in Batley, the Chicken Masala is a my favourite can’t fault it

0/10 overall. No greeting on entering by the solo lady. Lady is very poor is communication. Mumbles and talks in low volume and fast rate eating her words, overall barely comprehensible & very poor to comprehend I would have to repeat myself often in ordering. At the end no thank you, or farewell or smile. Just walked off after paying! No decency. No manners. No respect. Very Fawlty Towers scene with a bad Manuel. It really was! Main meal starter. Came pipping to hot to eat for many minutes seeing the food is swimming in to much oil with poor amount mainly onions salad. I was not impressed. To much oil. Sheesh kebab more like from supermarket not hands made in the kitchen. Chicken tikka was dry. Onion bhaji was to overcooked. Chicken pakora had thick rhino skin. Mediocre I had chicken ginger curry that has nice texture and taste but overbearing to much oil in the dish ruined it. The 2 roti that came with the dish, as per menu states clearly, was cold. For half way during the starter she brought the main dish only for me to tell her of course I'm not ready! She didn't see I was still, for all the world to clearly see, I was still eating the starter! Crazy 3x I told her I'm not ready for the main meal. She looked very confused! Sheesh. Had to change the dirty plate & the serving spoon twice she would place on the table the dirty menu was I placed after ordering! It was nice for her to being ice cold water in a large Spanish style large bottle. Only nice thing. Seating was nice. Clean eat-in and toilet with good hands air-dryer. Fancy cooked buckled water at the back wall. Very pretty. Rubbish Indian singing music in the background. After about 15 minutes finishing the main meal I went to the counter to pay. I was directed by her to the front part of the takeaway counter to pay by credit card. Now I perused the order paper she was calculating the total and saw a charge for the 2 roti. On enquiring this and stating as in the menu it stated clearly these accompany the " traditional curry dishes" she then incredulously purports to have told me " I told you no roti with any curry dishes". I had to correct her that I agreed about the" main curry dishes". She told again the same and added a mistake on the menu. She was clearly from her countanance she was not happy & she can see she cannot fool me with her clear falsehood claims and said "ok ok" and I paid the correct amount in card. Then she suddenly went to the kitchen without giving me a receipt of the credit card or thank you or farewell. I thought she may have dashed back to the kitchen for some reason. Maybe to leave her copy receipt somewhere and come back. I patiently awaited. She never never back. I overheard her taking backbiting me in the kitchen to get work colleagues though! A man came from the back kitchen a coldly she's is all is ok. I told yes I was but sure if anything else as the lady just went back. He says yes. Charming! No decency to greet on entering or thank you or farewell or thank for the custom to dine there from the last with attitude at the end. No manners. No respect. Very poor hospitality as a paying guest first time. From ones objective first impression and last as why anyone in their mind would want to go back to such a place? Fur others I see very good reviews who most of not all appear to be locals and in a group. But negative attitude to an out of area and single person and try to hoodwink me to overcharge contrary to clear wording on the menu to be this in beech of the agreed contract is terrible. Oasis is 7* compared to this place in an ways and not cheat you to overcharge you with lies 100% I do not recommend this place. ZERO stars Zero service To oily food. Not professional at all.

Indian knights a a fantastic restaurant and the food is absolutely lovely

Really disappointed. Ordered on just eat and wouldn't give me a refund. Worst chicken ice ever had, tasted like old meat and found 2 lumps of gristle. Went in bin. Never again

Absolutely dreadful. We went on Sunday 22nd May at 7:45 and place was empty. Decor etc not bad, waiter was polite enough if a little abrupt. Starters were poor. I had chicken tikka, this was large chunks of very dry, over cooked chicken with no flavour. Had been no where near a tandoor or tikka. Then I had lamb jalfrezi which was just a watery mess. Tiny pieces of over cooked meat in what looked more like a soup than a curry. How anyone can think this is good food is beyond me. The only item that was ok was the boiled rice which tells you everything you need to know. The music was also terrible. Way too loud rap music, not really what you want in an Indian restaurant. Avoid like the plague.

Great food but make sure if their card payment machine is working because at the end it was cash only! Couldn't speak to friends as reception was using blender outside very noisy spolit my evening out very bad for conversation, the waitress did speak good English not sure she understood me

Very good curry, me and my friends were very impressed with the quility of the food on the night when we visited.

Me and partner ordered on just eat. The food was delicious probably one of the best in a long time. Also the delivery driver was so lovely and had excellent customer service 👏 😀

Amazing customer service, they have achieved above and beyond in comparison to just eat, Uber eats etc. The food was as close to perfect as it could be. Would recommend to anybody looking for a local, authentic Indian curry. Thank you!!!

Salaam I don't have any word about your food I been regular customer since I was little just love your food at the best I ordered yesterday it was spot on they never let you down at all I got best best friend he brother to me he came batley from Coventry for first time told him let go to Indian night to eat he love the food something different chef are rare talent their mint sauce at the best the curry Is best in town the staff always polite friendly all the time they treat customer as a family all the time keep it like this all the time it my fav place for Asian dishes I never trust other takeaway at all Indian nights at the best .thank you the food was amazing yesterday. 👏

Had a lovely meal at Indian Nights. Hospitality was great and the restaurant has a nice overall ambience. The interior design is beautiful with a relaxing water feature wall. The menu offered a good varied selection and the presentation of our meal including the starter was beautiful, and all very delicious. Serving plates were warm :) We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.The restaurant is ideal to hold moderate size engagements/parties.

Visited after a cricket game in Leeds. Best choice we made. The hospitality in this restaurant was amazing. I will be going back for sure but with more people next time. This place felt nice when you walked in as it was clean and quite modern too. Loved the feature on the back wall. Starters we had mixed grill style, included Lamb chops, kebabs, tandoori chicken and fish tikka. The Lamb chops were some of the best I have tasted ( I have tasted loadssss). The kebab was nice soft and very tasty. It was all so nice just what you want when you go into a place you have never been to before. The mains we had Achari chicken. This is something I go for when I see it on the menu, not everyone does it. But we was so pleased with the way it tasted. Not to mention how amazing the nan bread was. In many restaurants you go to, the nan bread becomes hard or does not stay soft throughout. But here it was so nice and soft all the way through whilst eating. This restaurant is a must visit. I have recommended it to all my family and friends already. Can not wait to go back. Thank you Indian nights for a fantastic meal and the amazing service, even at a time you guys were so busy.

I got to say my tika masala is 100% the best iv had from a takeaway my missus loved her korma too a little greacy but had much worse an that was fine for how good it tasted will deffo be getting my tika masalas from hear from now 👌

Not the same as before very average now, most of the chicken curry dishes taste all the same. You also need to make sure you give more salad !! You’ve been only given 2 slices of cucumber in the salad box for so many years 😅😅

I really fancied a curry last night so decided to order from here. I've not had a curry in years but always remembered it been good. I was not disappointed at all it was as good as I always remembered. We ordered a chicken tikka makahni the curry was so rich a full of flavour and what I also really liked was the chicken pieces are cut really small. It had a nice hint of spice too but not too much. The curry was also nice and saucy We also ordered onion bhajis chips rice chappatis and poppadoms again they was all good. Well be ordering again guys maybe even pop in for a sit in meal.

The meat masala is the most amazing thing I ever had in my life so nice and juicy. I hate lamb tried it once as my hubby ordered it. Since then that’s what is what I order all the time.

I would like to warn anyone who is thinking of eating from this place we ordered the chicken masala which looked like vomit all watery and tasted YUCK the naan were like hard and chips were old and warmed gave us the shi*s all night we would give this restaurant another name TOILET NIGHTS please avoid.

Chicken achari is beautiful from here but sometimes can be very oily the cheese burgers are nice too sometimes fries are abit burnt overall nice curry.

Been for hundreds of Indian meals and this was the worst ever. I don’t want to think about it so can’t write about it. The owners son was lovely, very polite, but the food, I wouldn’t want to eat for free.

I’ve given it a rating of 1 as 0 is not an option. Just left the restaurant with my family and it’s ruined our night! We were the first ones there and they hadn’t even put the heating one. My sons teeth were chattering and I had to rub his hands to keep him warm! The teenage waiter displayed little interest in us and my husband had to go fetch him from the back. We ordered a jalfrezi and a lamb karahi with rotis. The salad which accompanied the food comprised a bit of limp lettuce, a few rings of thickly sliced white onion, 3 slices of tomato and 3 of cucumber! The jalfrezi was below average - but we were hungry but the lamb was disgusting! It belonged in a bin! It looked ok but the meat had just been boiled and covered in a poor tasting sauce and had a bad smell and after taste. We immediately told the waiter to take it away as it was unfit to eat. However when we asked for the bill, we saw that we had been charged for it. When we pointed it out to the surly waiter he simply grunted ‘he said you have to pay for it’. My husband then took it up with the owner. The owner insisted that we pay - after all we had tasted it!!!! He couldn’t seem to grasp that we had to taste it in order to establish that it tasted foul. There was no reasoning with him and we paid the full bill as our son was getting upset at what had quickly become a heated exchange. The stuff of nightmares! Just hope we don’t become ill.

Went here last week Don't know what's happened but they need to sort there food out I can honestly say I could have made one better myself, the tables were not even set out ie. Cutlery we were the only two in the place I had to call the waiter over to order our food no ergency what's so where sort this out Indian Knights before it's too late.

It’s got to be the worst food we have ever had, starters not too bad, the chicken dopiaza was disgusting had no flavour and it was swimming in a soup like texture, the chicken was cubes, soggy nan bread and paneer curry with grated cheese, we left both mains.

Move back home recently and got a take away and it was better than I rember as me and my dad have been using for years. Would highly recommend

Went for the family and it was awful! My husband use to order chicken masala many years ago as take out and thought we’d try eating at the restaurant. We order lamb chops and you could tell they put it to boil or in a pressure cooker and slapped some masala on it. The masala for dishes are all the same. I ordered a chicken tikka biryani and it was crap. First it came out red and you could tell they put the same masala once again and mixed with rice. Avoid coming here!! Won’t be going back again

This restaurant/takeaway was smashing it few years. It’s awful now, the food is awful and all the dishes practically taste the same lol. You use the same gravy for all of them so you really don’t know what you’re eating when you order few dishes on the go. Very disappointed

Very bad quality food. Ordered lamb chops and they came almost raw. We called to ask them what happened and they said that’s how they should be. We know how lamb chops should be and this isn’t the way. They refused to even acknowledge we were not happy. The chicken was dry and just about cooked, chips tasted like they had been microwaved. Avoid

Nice place to eat and to take away. They can actually make mild food.
