Lepton Spice in Kirklees

I originally wrote a review stating how rude these people are. They replied calling me a liar. Awful people. Rude & lies. Then questioned the name on the order. My daughter ordered I wrote the review . I have attached their response. Dreadful people. Then the audacity to slag off a whole neighbourhood. Lost lots of custom.

Disgusting service . Took forever to come then refused to enter the building and delver to my door which is what delivery means. Pressed the intercom and I gave them access , waited and they buzzed again. A guy said come down ! I said you need to bring it up then a woman came on and said we don't enter apartment blocks I said well that's what home delivery is she said ok I will take the food back and went. Dreadful attitude and if you don't deliver to apartment blocks don't accept the order. Attitude of drivers stinks !!

Greasy popadoms. Potatoes undercooked in side dish . Very small portion of pickles

Papodoms smashed to pieces and burned beforehand. They missed the meat samosas from the order ( which we know we paid for) and the lamb vindaloo was completely innadequate. There are much better places to order from - no further orders from here.

Really disappointed in the mixed kebab the donnor meat tasted like horrible fat, take that out not left with much 2 pieces of chicken and a seek kebab. The cheesy chips were equally as bad you could squeeze the oil out of the chips. Delivery was early but would have preferred it take longer and the food be better quality

Sorry, but the food today was not up to the usual high standard. The donner meat was dry and overcooked, the naan bread wasn't evenly cooked with one part very under done and the chilli sauce was almost non-existent, barely any flavour. The food was a little early which I do not usually mind but today the extra time should have been spent ensuring quality. As a fairly regular customer I am rather disappointed.

Always been really good, both myself and my partner were disappointed. Lamb tuff, chicken over cooked, nanna bread burnt and over all poor. Been great in the past, maybe just a one off

Ordered a chicken tikka masala, this was inedible because it just tasted like vinegar - nothing like a chicken tikka masala. Disappointed as was not cheap

We are so pleased to have found this place. And they deliver to Shelley!! The starter's are the best we've had in such a long time. All the local restaurants and takeaways nearby do really weird flat onion bhajis. Here they are, round and exactly as they should be, oh and they are so tasty. The meat samosas are also a great size and, again, so tasty! With most mains, they can be standard size or large. We order large so as to get 2 meals out of the order. The chicken Madras is exactly as expected and spicy. Garlic chicken is great also. The pilau rice and chapatis are of good quality. Delivery is also spot on. Cannot recommend this takeaway highly enough.

Lepton Spice … I’d move in if I could. Never had a poor meal, never had cause to complain; our go-to food outlet when it comes to the nights I can’t muster up the enthusiasm to cook. The owners are lovely, accommodating, delivery is always on time or early, and over the years my voice alone indicates what address they’re delivering to. Highly recommended, everything we’ve had delicious.

This place used to be our go too takeaway but not been in a while and well I’m glad we have not been in ages cause won’t be returning. This place has changed even the chips was bad .

First time user of this takeaway. Ordered the meal for 4. It was great being able to order your own four curries. The keema and lamb rogan josh were very good as were the seekh kebabs and onion bhajis in the starter.

First class food ! Can’t fault it. We have tried most local takeaway’s in the past & lepton village spice has proved by far the best! Have tried various Indian dishes from their menu and they are always good quality.especially like the korma. & the chicken & mushroom curry! Always delivered hot & with a friendly smile. Whilst taste is a personal preference. If you haven’t tried here you should. I cannot understand the negative reviews!

Always order from here since moving to the area a year ago, the best curry ever and nice kebabs too, always ready in 20 mins and always hot, love the garlic and cheese naans too and the bhajis, so good my sister in law travelled from Barnsley to get a curry here after trying it at our house once, won't go anywhere else!

Perfect once again! I’m really fussy with curry because I can’t handle any spice and usually when we order mild from elsewhere, it looses all flavours, but curry’s from here are perfect!! Mild actually means mild and full of flavour! Thank you all so very much :) Definitely our favourite takeaway!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Extremely shoddy experience while ordering with this takeaway, to be fair we haven’t heard much positive feedback in a general term from friends and family, the food was cold, late, over cooked, chewy, I genuinely would not feed it to my dog as it would be insulting. YACK!

My go to take away, its about 8 miles from my house but if I want quality it's well worth the journey. Its certainly in contention for the best I have ever had.

Nice flavour but covered in oil when asked not to and didn't have extra chilli's or garlic like asked, spice level is always off

Tikka Massala, onion bhajias and garlic & cheese nan tasted amazing. Pickle tray doesn’t come with mango chutney so you need to order that separately

Awful, tried ordering a wrap as a meal option which comes with chips and a drink, however when I paid extra for it to come with chips, it didn’t. And when I rang to ask about it, they denied that I ordered it even though I have a receipt for it. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE GUYS!

I don’t know if you’ve changed your chef or ingredient’s however I’ve just ordered a tikka masala and it wasn’t a tikka masala at all, to the point I couldn’t even eat it! Chips taste different too.

Disappointed. We have been ordering for a few years now as it was our favourite but today the tastes had changed. The korma taste like cheese and the kids favourite tikka masala had changed too.

Order from here regularly and always lovely food. Service is great and friendly.

Very poor, ordered 2x kebabs and a tray of doner meat 1 kebab in naan was fine however the one in pitta was a totally differant story, the meat was not sliced well, it was more like thick chunks from around the skewer it was a total differant colour what so ever to to other kebab and tray of meat. The ordering over the phone was difficult to say the least so good luck if you order and dont expect high expectations 2 stars is quite good for my expieriance

Worst fried chicken I've had in my life hands down. Usually order curry from here and most of the time it's good. Today fancied something different so got fried chicken pieces and a chicken burger. Both were awful, overcooked and extremely dry. Chips were soggy and oily. Overall a really poor experience

Delicious, first time having a curry from here since moving to the area and it was so good. Had to wait 5 mins when we went to collect as it was being made but thats proof that its fresh and tasted fresh too. Will be back!

Today I ordered from my local curry house as you was closed. It made me realise how good your food is. From your main meals to your salad and mint sauce your food is perfect every time. So thank you and keep up the good work there's a reason you have so many good reviews.

To be fair to the place its always treated us well but today it was their mistake and the attitude we got about it has lost our custom. We always do takeaways orders for a specific time because of getting kids to bed and this one time "justeat" wouldn't let us do a specific time so we ordered on their own website (even though it was more expensive) we ordered for a specific time, low and behold they came 50 minutes early and both kids was just getting out of the bath. When she arrived she said "we don't do a cretin time"! After a few words from both ends she left with the food order. When the order arrived 20 minutes later the we originally asked for she was so rude, left the order on the door step and ran back to her car whilst I was asking if this was a "re-order" and low and behold it was a re-order. Just to confirm food is good but the attitude we had knowing how much we order from them is wrong.

I've been a customer of theirs for some time, and the food has always been excellent. The owner is always cheerful and easy to get on with.

Outstanding as usual. Absolutely love their chicken Karachi fresh salad and mint sauce. I could eat it every day !!
