Small, clean cafe that serves freshly cooked food. A great place to go for breakfast if you're in the local area.

Myself and my husband went this evening for a meal . The service was excellent the waitress was very friendly and we didn't have to wait for anything.. The food was wonderful all very fresh and cooked to order with no real wait between courses. We would recommend the Antipasta to share as a starter ! Not expensive very reasonable. However...we both felt the restaurant was missing something...maybe a few pictures , parlour palms ( plants in general) it lacked ambience, quite bare internally . The lovely fire should have been lit not for heat but for the warmth of the atmosphere . ??? No coziness.?

Bert's is located in a fabulous, extremely picturesque setting, overlooking the lake which offers a number of water-based activities. I found it a little difficult to find, as the Sat Nav took me somewhere behind Dacre Arms - often a problem when just putting the post code, I suppose, as it only takes you to the rough area. But having finally found it, as I drove down the track, I saw a sign saying"Berts" and turned right ... to find it was the Football Golf! Then I did find it (on the left), but parking was really problematic, with very few spaces. As I'm currently being careful with what I eat, I ordered Chicken Caesar Salad - it was nice, but there was not a lot of chicken, a very few bits of other things, and lots and lots of lettuce which was disappointing (particularly at £15)! It was served in a brown bowl with a large chip out of it, which surprised me. Yes I should have said something, but it is always difficult and potentially embarrassing when you are eating with friends. Overall, the food was very disappointing, but it is in such a lovely setting perhaps I should give it another go and try pizza or pasta.

My husband loves this pub and has made it his local whilst on holiday. We go most days for a couple of pints then back to our caravan. On Friday we had dinner there. It’s very busy pub but the man serving us was friendly and attentive. The food was lovely my husband had the steak he said it was great I had the vegetarian pizza with added jalapeños. I also ordered onion rings that I definitely did not need once I saw the size of the pizza. Food is ample portions. But this hasn’t meant losing its taste or presentation. We had a lovely evening chatting to the man serving us who was from Bow in London. Nice reminiscing with him. Thankyou for being a warm friendly pub. With good food, good staff and good coffee”s as well as a very excellent stocked bar. Well worth a visit.

We've had a lovely lunch at Manor Court today. There were 8 adults & a 2 & a half year old. We had a special request for gluten free food & disabled access & they came up trumps on both requests. The food was lovely as was the service, nothing was too much trouble. We will be sure to visit again

Lovely place & cocktails. Food average. Salad not very exciting, a lot of yellow Iceberg lettuce . My husband had items missing from his meal that should have been included, as per the menu specification. Will try again, though. Staff were attentive.

My eldest son brought me here as a treat on Mother's Day. He hadn't booked and we were lucky enough to secure table and with 4 minutes to spare, the breakfast menu! We opted for the same thing - eggs Benedict, mine served with a latte and his with a mocha. We soon polished this off and were soon enjoying a slice of something sweet - rhubarb, lime and ginger cheesecake for me, with a chocolate flapjack for my son. Just lovely. A nice restaurant, with a lovely farm shop to wander around afterwards! 10/10
