The Dacre Arms in East Riding of Yorkshire

This place is a really good location to go and have some wonderful food and excellent bar staff the food came really fast and nice it was a great experience I would recommend it to others.

The food was very tasty friendly bar staff the food came with in 5-10 minutes and it was a great experience for a casual night out or a family meal.

As always the food here is wonderful & delicious, piping hot, generous portions & the best service you could wish for 😁👍

I had prawn baguette with salad and chips. Not a happy bunny. The baguette was not good,it was looked like a pre cooked one that wasn't cooked and the prawns was extremely small shrimps and definitely not prawns.

Staying at a nearby caravan site decided at the last minute to visit Dacre Arms for food around 7-30 pm! We were really lucky and managed to get a table. Really friendly welcome . Had light steak pie , it came with a jug of gravy , chips , carrots , cabbage, broccoli . Light meant a smaller portion and it was just a perfect size, soft steak , tasty gravy. My friends had 3 bean chilli, that was served with nachos , he loved it and it looked massive. My other friend had prawn cocktail and chips, she said it was delicious but if any criticism the prawns were the tiniest she had seen! Maybe offer king prawns or crayfish to keep to the standard of ingredients of the rest of the food offered. Brilliant night , tasty food, nice staff, what more could you want . Would 100% recommend

This is a great place for dinner, the meals are home cooked, hearty & great value for money. We ate here twice and couldn’t finish our meals~ they were enormous portions. I had steak & ale pie with chips on one occasion and a chicken breast in garlic sauce with mushrooms & chips. I declined rice ~ I’m not even sure where they could have fit it on the plate! Main meals were about £14:95. Great value, home cooked, generous portions & the service was great.

What a shame as an adult party of 4 we have had lunch at this establishment regularly for the last 12 month’s food was good value particularly the steak pie, unfortunately price increases for not only the meal but the drinks are London prices nearly £5 for a pint of lager and the meat pie was £13pp now over £17 pp, for the steak pie, they now have the cheek to reduce the size of the pie as well, ho dear Dacre Arms you might not notice a difference now the holiday makers are in attendance, but just wait until the summer months have gone your regular customers like our party will be long gone, good luck because you will need it.

i booked a table for 6 for my sons 50th birthday from start to finish everything was excellent.My daughter in law was overwhelmed with the meals.My two grandchildren were really taken with it all.The food was first class along with the service can highly recommend .

was staying at a local campsite nearby and before i came i looked at the local pubs serving food and was amazed at the portion sizes in this place! the food was amazing i had the hickory chicken and my wife had the giant yorkshire pudding with beef and veg, both meals were really really nice to eat and the staff were amazing and couldnt do enough to help. would definatly eat here again!

AMAZING! Went as a family of 5. The food was fantastic the best pub food I have had for a long time. The staff were great. They were really accommodating to my fussy children's requests. Nothing was a problem. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again when we are next over visiting family.

Visited here for an evening meal whilst we were staying at the nearby Dacre Lakeside Park. Staff were very friendly, great food and great service, very reasonably priced too, would definitely recommend!

Even though we live not too far (Bridlington) this was infact our 1st visit. After googling somewhere to eat near hornsea and that was also cater Gluten Free came across Dacre Arms. We arrived without booking and the girls on the bar were very helpful and accommodated us on a Sunday Dinner, (lesson learned) many thanks. The three meals we had were fabulous and very plentiful, portions size is great. The prices are also very reasonable. We were also very happy regarding the Gluten Free options that are available. All in all a very enjoyable experience, great value for money. We are going to book in again in a fortnight

Excellent Sunday lunch,but spoiled by family allowing their bored children to run around the restaurant. Plenty of meat, roast and mashed potatoes. Peas, broccoli, and cauliflower cheese. Large Yorkshire pudding. Concern about the gravy which was out of a certain jar and lacked taste unlike real meat gravy. Will return as currently a very good price.

We were lucky to get a table when my Daughter in law phoned but glad we did we were a party of seven.Friendly reception on arrival good drink’s service at bar ,ordered our food and it came at a reasonable time so we new it was fresh cooked the portions were very large and very tasty no grumbles from anyone the service was fantastic

Popped in for a family meal whilst on holiday in the area. A fantastic selection of food to choose from and it all tasted superb, not to mention a good range of drinks to choose from. The staff were lovely too and the food was fairly swift considering it was all cooked fresh. With the good value for money too, we went back the following night! They were exceptionally busy but fitted us in - clearly a very popular local!

My partner and myself popped in while enjoying an impromptu camping night. We were met by two lovely ladies who welcomed us warmly and made us feel very welcome. Bar is well stocked, well laid out, clean and bright. We left after the rain subsided, or as my lady said, that the hose pipe was switched off 😂 Long story short we ended up back later on and knew a table would be hard to get for food but thought we would have a drink.... Again, a lovely welcome and by chance a free table. The food.... Well, it was excellent. The fish was meaty and white, (not cheap rubbish), batter was light, crispy and not greasy. I had the pie, crusty pastry, if microwaved I'd be shocked.... Meaty, tasty and we'll, just spot on. Prices were good for the standard of food and service. To the two lovely ladies who welcomed us, thank you. Should we be in the area we would absolutely go back. Thoroughly recommend to anyone near by.

Helpful and friendly welcome for a group of 15. Pre-booked meals were swiftly served after arrival. All of us agreed the food was excellent. My haddock was huge (more like a baby whale) but really well cooked with really crispy batter. Could have managed without the starter! Reasonably priced too.

We were staying locally so thought we’d give it a try. We ended up eating here three nights for our evening meal. We were always made to feel welcome by all of the staff. It’s a welcoming place and very busy. We always booked in advance. The food was absolutely amazing. It was home cooked, delicious and the portions were great! The steak pie was out of this world and the chunky chips were so tasty. As a family of four we tried pie, burgers, chicken burgers, curry, salads and chicken with pulled pork. Everything we had was so tasty and we would definitely have had it again. We would highly recommend it and would definitely be back. Thanks to all of the staff - a great place in a lovely location.

Came back here after having an awful meal years ago. Heard it had changed hands so tried it again. So glad we did - fabulous food and friendly, prompt service. Only one point we would like to make and that is there was no dessert menu on the table. It was on the wall in another room so for the less agile elderly members of our party, they found it hard to shuffle out of the booth and into another room just to see the menu. Mentioned it to one of the staff and they just laughed and said yeah we know. We will be returning though!

Generous portions with a good range of pub classics and the filled Yorkshire Pudding specials. Good range of ales. Would recommend and visit again.

Visited for Sunday lunch on way home from caravan. Had booked and found process of being welcomed/ sanitised and seated very good. Lovely food as usual / only negative was being charged extra £2 after requesting extra gravy for both meals. Don’t mind paying this but never been charged before for extra gravy and think I should have been told of charge when I asked for it. That said would still have had extra but maybe one to share rather than two.However that’s just little niggle as the food was lovely and staff always pleasant and friendly.

We ordered on the app to takeout and to pick it up at a certain time. When I picked it up it was ready straight away was no need to wait long, pick up was from behind the pub. We had ordered variety of things for us and the kids, the meals for the kids were a good size too they couldn’t eat it all, we had burgers and my husband upgraded his chips to homemade ones and he said they were the best he has ever tasted. I had asked for my burger to not have a few things added as I am a bit fussy and these were all done as I asked so thanks again
