Brilliant service and toilets were soooooo clean. Food fabulous, cheap and fast Been 5 times for lunch would go back again again

Great value for money. Where else can you get 2 meals of 7oz gammon, egg, chips peas and pineapple for £10.95 total, NOT each. Served Monday to Friday noon until 9pm. Always busy, lots of atmosphere. Right in centre of Town. Will definitely return soon. Thank you. If pic gets uploaded my hubby has added crispy prawns on the skewer for £3 extra.

Pub itself is beautiful, ordered our food and drinks OK, food arrived i ordered steak and Guinness pie , nice portions ,mash was hard on top as though it had Been under a heat lamp for a while , pie was lovely very tasty and full of meat , The amount of gravy was not a lot , so I got up and asked if I could have some more was told I had to pay for it and go to the bar to do so., seriously I couldn't believe this , first time this has ever happened (absolute joke ) it's gravy , all other establishments I've ever been to Happy to give you more at no cost , hence my meal was dry , so please either give more gravy to start with or extra for free please , this is why reluctantly I've given this score ,photo shows how much I got , you can see the line not even half full ,

Came in for a few drinks in the beer garden as it was lovely weather. We decided to order a few meals after seeing other people being served and couldn’t help ourselves. Had a few problems with our order however it was quickly solved by Kat. The Gammon was spot on. Will be likely to visit again soon!

There were 3 of us, hubby had steak and Guinness pie, I had chicken and ham pie,sister in law had bacon and cheeseburger. Lovely food. Nice atmosphere and lovely staff.

Came in for a quiet drink and noticed the new menu so decided to order some food, wasn't long after we ordered we got some delicious food delivered to out table. It was all cooked and tasted great. Another great meal out will be back again.

Waited over 45 minutes for a steak sandwich with no red onion and they still got it wrong , had more onions the steak will not be going back

Great pub. Good ales, lovely staff, good food, quick service but avoid quiz nights. I can tolerate pub quiz questions but not the annoying tannoy with the loud and annoying feedback buzzing into your brain.

Read all the reviews as you do but like most things you have to try yourself. Chose the mid-size hearty breakfast option which was very generous with portions, well cooked and presented especially not swimming in baked beans. I did notice that quite a few customers might have been optimistic choosing the even bigger breakfast and were leaving a bit. Probably one of the best value meals i can remember even the latte was very reasonably priced. Waitresses and other staff were very efficient especially considering the restaurant was very long so lots of foot work. Whilst pets are allowed in a special area it was good to see a waitress quickly move a couple and there dog who had plonked themselves down next to us. If I were to find fault it would be the table which was 'sticky' and could have done with a good wipe down. Certainly would go again but perhaps choose the smaller breakfast which was as big as some full size and more expensive offerings in the area.

Lovely pub for a catch up with my mates

Came here for the England vs Slovakia game. Was very busy but didn't have to wait long at the bar and when we ordered food it came in 10 minutes. Come here for the football, you wont be disappointed!

Just had relaxed lunch with friends in this old fashioned pub. Food good burgers fish and chips and pie and mash. Amazing prices staff lovely drinks good stayed a couple of hours chatting in this roomy and traditional place. Never felt rushed really comfy. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely visit again if in area. It looks small from the outside but is huge once inside.

Very limited GF options for food. I had the sharing nachos with pulled beef as a main and they were decent. Friends food choices were all ok, but nothing special. However prices are cheap, atmosphere nice and service ok. Ideal for a group of friends

The Green Dragon in Saturday market is an excellent pub. There is a good selection of beers and lagers, including a few cask conditioned hand pulled, real ales. The real ales they had on when I visited were all in excellent condition. Although it doesn't look big from the outside, the pub goes back a long way. It's a large pub but quite cosy. The staff are friendly and the food is good. There is also an outside seating area for summer, and the pub is dog friendly.

One of the best pubs in Beverley with a nice outside seating area down the side. The pub is accessed via a quaint passageway, which is a lovely touch. There are plenty of drinks options available with bar games and TVs showing sports. If you're visiting Beverley and want to experience a nice pub, then this should definitely be on your list. ☆☆☆☆☆

Currently sat here after eating a lovely meal with my family, and just wanted to make a point of the amazing service. We came in as a family of 8 with 2 disabled members in the party and 2 dogs, all the low tables in the dog friendly end of the restaurant was taken but they accommodated moving a smaller table over to where we were seated, the food was lovely service was amazing and a decent variety of Ale's. Will definitely be returning.

I had the small plates and i have the pizza when i come usually. I come with my mum every time we come to Beverly. The food is gorgeous, it’s a really comfortable atmosphere and the staff are lovely. I would recommend to anyone !

Booked a table in the morning, turned up to a warm welcome as always. Nice to see Simon the Landlord back. Set up a tab and had drunks and lynch with friends. Always great food, cooked to how I like it. Simon, Sheila, Jasmin and Connor all very accommodating. Come here regular and always recommend to people in my Shop. Both Simon and Sheila always stop to chat although there normally rushed off their feet. Thank you all really enjoyed it.

Me and my girlfriend went this morning and ordered simple dishes. A gammon steak meal and fish and chips. We also ordered prawn starters. After waiting for nearly an hour for our food and noticing other people who came in after us getting meals first and same ones we ordered I asked where ours was. It was revealed with no apology our ticket was lost and then our food magically appeared 2 minutes later. A very rushed job. Chips and peas were absolutely freezing, pineapple was all over my gammon, even though I requested no pineapple. My starter wasn’t even there and when I asked they had to ask me what I paid for and ordered. This was very rushed and came a minute later too. To make matters worse I had half a drink left while eating which a waitress presumed was done with and took it off me without me noticing. Will never go here again and would advise to stay away. No apology or anything offered, a disgrace

Lovely fish &chips, excellent value

Had a fabulous breakfast a few weeks ago but were disappointed to be refused breakfast menu this time as it was just 5 mins past 12 by the time a table was cleared for us and we were seated to order. Our experience of the venue was turned from extremely positive to negative in a heartbeat by that small failure to accommodate. In fact we did stay for lunch on this occasion, but would not really motivated to return.

Wow what can I say. Ordered 2 x fish finger sandwiches served on warm Ciabatta with seasoned fries. The portions are large and the taste was lovely. Fluffy white fish and crisp batter. All for £10.95 for the both of them. Both myself and husband couldn’t eat it all. All serviced with a smile too.

Myself & husband really enjoyed our meal here tonight. I had the smothered chicken & husband had the fiery burger. The food was hot when it got to the table, service was quick & the food was very tasty. We're looking forward to going back, already know what we're having next time.......pizza for me & the mixed grill for husband. The pub was clean & nicely decorated. We would both definitely recommend anyone giving the Green Dragon a try, you won't be disappointed 😊

Great atmosphere what ever night or occasion you go in for. Been lots of times and now become our go to pub. Mainly as the food and drink are cheap and have great offers. Staff are always spot on too and really helpful, nothing ever too much trouble. Highly recommend this pub over any of the other ones in the market place.

Great local pub with fantastic food and brilliant drinks

Was alovely place,table was sticky though and alot of loud noisy drunk lads in the afternoon. But enjoyed it. Food was quick and tasty.

Always had lovely food and drinks here, but on this occasion the Tapas was absolutely atrocious, bland, no dips, kofta was rubbish, fried prawns well...fried to death literally. Drinks are lovely...but food I would avoid, garbage.

I have to say this pub was the worst we have visited during our stay in Beverley, the toilets are dirty, the food cards need wiping, tables sticky and there was a female glass washer stood there doing nothing with glasses backed up. This place lacked team work and love. Which is a shame as we enjoyed every other pub in Beverley full of history and characters.

Quaint, old pub serving a good selection of food. Dog friendly, which is always a bonus for those of us who take our pooches away on holiday. We had the fish and chips, which were delicious due to the fact that the fish was fresh and in an ale batter. Scrumptious and a welcome change from the usual offering from some establishments i.e. frozen and in a cardboard box.

I previously reviewed The Green Dragon in Beverley around Christmas time, in respect of the quality of the breakfast. The breakfast was open to criticism on some of the items served that day. Also the tea served was cold. The manager answered my review and understood my criticism. The outcome was that; all the issues have now been resolved. The breakfasts and hot drinks on offer are back to their superb standards once more. With very tasty good quality fare, with hot well brewed drinks and great service. We are glad we came back to the Green Dragon and sampled their breakfast options once more. Well done for listening and acting on the review I made. We shall continue to support you and your business in the not too distant future. Superb quality great place.

Absolutely packed, like a pub should be. Great atmosphere.

The staff are amazing we were celebrating my dad's birthday so there were 15 of us. We booked in advance and had a nice table which fit us all comfortably. When ordering drinks the bar staff helped us to bring drinks to the table which was very helpful and kind and when ordering food there was a slight mix up but they were great at getting it fixed. I would highly recommend going here the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food is lovely and overall a great place to go its one of my favourite places in Beverley to eat as its cheep and cheerful. Xx

Been here before and it was always great, but this time our waitress was very rude and pretty much threw my food at me.

We had our boys 18th birthday get together here on Sunday. The buffet we had was super and really good value for money too. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them , highly recommended.

Used to be a regular haunt for husband in the early days. Last time we visited Beverley we popped in for a beer but as we only drink Real Ale there was nothing we liked but this time there was Oakham Citra on so happy days. It was very busy being a Friday lunchtime. We decided to have food but only something small so opted for the 2 for 10.50 deal not expecting much. It was really good. Hubby had gammon and was most impressed. I had the sausage and mash which even came with veg. They were three good sized sausages as well. It filled us up. Planning another visit with friends in March. Thanks to the waitress who was rushed off her feet. She was doing a great job.

Good customer service and really nice food, plus 2 meals for £10.50 Good value and get plenty of food on your plate. Will be coming back soon again. The burgers are delicious.
