Came in for a bite to eat with my 2 girls was really impressed with the service, Ryan couldn’t do enough for us. I had the PIG burger was well done n served quickly which was a bonus for my girls. Always friendly when we come in so quickly turning in to my regular

I don't like leaving negative reviews but.... My friend and I always go to the green dragon when we meet for lunch and the food is always great and the portions more than adequate, but the menu has changed. (which is great) I love lasagne so that's what I ordered. Now I know the cost of living has sky rocketed and ingredients are expensive to buy but the portions were small considering the price paid, we left feeling hungry. Maybe a few chips accompanying the lasagne wouldn't go amiss.

Hubby and I visited last night, Friday 25th April, after booking table 15. What a fabulous experience, hubby had the mixed grill and I had rump steak, all cooked to perfection. With beer and wine of course. A lovely relaxing couple of hours made perfect by the friendly staff, especially Tom and Connor, so a big thankyou to them.

Whilst staying in Beverley we visited several times for both food and just drinks. On each visit the lads both behind the bar and serving the food were friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We would definitely return when we are back in the area!

Came in on Sunday for some food and drinks with friends and couldn't be happier, food was great and reasonably priced. Wayne served us all night and was brilliant, always happy to help and get us anything we needed. Definitely recommend.

Meat pie was mid. Gravy wasn't great- and on other options on the menu that would usually had gravy, they said that they didnt have any gravy.. despite my meat pie coming with gravy? They forgot a meal from my order. That speaks for itself. Lighting in the place is awful to say the least. I need a torch for the toilets.

I just wanted to commend the staff who were on yesterday evening (15th April) for the way they dealt with a very difficult customer. She was upset they had asked her son for ID and then refused to serve him when he did not have a valid ID on him, which led to her kicking off and threatening to speak to the owner etc. The guys kept their cool and stood their ground explaining it's the law and that the decision not to serve him is final. Was hard to watch, as she would not stop, but they were all great! Keep up the good work, you are our favourite pub in Beverley and a massive reason is the amazing service you guys provide!

Love the food & cask ale selection. The staff are very pleasant. My only grumble is the lighting not very bright when trying to read the menu even with my glasses on, and could do with being redecorated.

Come here fairly often, always great service, especially from Tom. Guinness is probably the best in Beverley. 8/8 would recommend.

Called for drinks only and enjoyed what we had. The Theakston's Old Peculier was spot on. Had a great time talking to some locals who were very friendly. Recommended.

Booked a table in the morning, turned up to a warm welcome as always. Nice to see Simon the Landlord back. Set up a tab and had drunks and lynch with friends. Always great food, cooked to how I like it. Simon, Sheila, Jasmin and Connor all very accommodating. Come here regular and always recommend to people in my Shop. Both Simon and Sheila always stop to chat although there normally rushed off their feet. Thank you all really enjoyed it.

Dirty, couldn't care less staff and I think he was a manager. Nobody seemed to want to clean up after a bunch of ignorant people left their table in a mess with broken glass and food on the floor.

I came here with family for a Boxing Day lunch: it was easy to book a table online (good job I did!), and I enjoyed a festive-themed chicken burger.

Food and drink was enjoyable and reasonably priced.

Ordered Sausage and Mash from a totally disinterested Guy at the bar , The food came in reasonable time , we have eaten at this Pub many times , it’s not top notch but generally really good , the said food arrived and wow total garbage, mash cold peas rock hard and sausages obviously reheated, the waitress said all ok ? , explained what was the issue … ok she said …. never saw her again. The older Waitress was so nice but obviously the only person interested in customer service. A real shame as it’s a real convenient place for a quick lunch , or was .

For Beverley Town the drinks and foods are really good value.

Food was reasonable, except that at midday on 12th December they had run out of turkey for the Xmas turkey dinner. The service however was shocking. The food took 45 minutes to arrive at the table with no prior warning of delay and all the servers would say is “you should have been told there was a delay”. They weren’t even busy so why there was a delay at all is the question. We certainly won’t be returning.

12th December and we went in for lunch. Food was reasonable, except they had run out of turkey for the Xmas dinner??? How is that even possible? 2 of us had to choose another meal and we weren’t even offered a refund for the difference. We were literally standing up and leaving when the food arrived. We certainly won’t be returning.

Lovely pub that serves food from 10am - 9pm every day including breakfasts 10-12. Great selection of drinks at decent prices.

My husband and I had a lovely meal . I had the Oomph burger. It's great that they do a vegan version of pub classics. My husband had the mixed grill. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were expertly served at the bar by Tom. The rest of the team were lovely and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy. It's a great place to go for tea.

Christmas menu is cheap for a reason

Arranged to meet friends, some of whom had travelled from South Cave, in the Green Dragon as they had advertised that they were showing the Rugby Autumn Internationals However instead of showing the national rugby team playing Japan, they had all the screens showing league football. (two games initially). They told us they would put it on when the Swansea v Leeds game had finished - 40 minutes later - which wiped out the first half, so we waited and bought more drinks in the belief they would be true to their word,. The football finished and they then put every screen on showing just the Man Utd v Ipswich game. On complaining the staff said the manager had told them not to show the rugby. We had put a fair amount of money through their till in the belief they would honour their promise and feel that we were kept in the pub fraudulently. We won’t be putting a penny through them again.

The best pub...in the heart of Beverley! Great food, affordable for Beverley in comparison to other drinking, eating places, great ambience, hardworking, friendly staff, and a massive plus for us with Doggie friends.. there is a Dog area at the front of this pub, its cosy n clean....Happy days. On this occasion 21/11/24 12.30 lunch: I had Fish n chips, mushy peas....perfect! Fish was white, soft, with crunchy light batter n my friend had burger chips he said it tasted great. Thank you! Great team effort. Much Respect.

Haven't been for a while...just had lunch and it was appalling. Poor service,.. staff behind the bar on their mobile phones whilst tables need clearing.. very poor food. Filthy pub,not a pleasant place to sit. It would be zero stars but it's not allowed!.... We remembered why we haven't been for a while.

This lovely pub, along with several others, has been a favourite for many years. I'm talking about 4 decades. I cut my teeth in these friendly establishments when I reached 18. We don't frequent it any more simply because of all the screens. Shame as I still like the joint and I can get a decent glass of red wine here. So in we went this morning for breakfast and worked out that if we sat in the lovely cosy front room, left of the beautiful old window, we could avoid the darn screens. Surely GD you could have this one area to be screen-free? We'd come back in again regularly. As for this morning, our small Irish breakfast was absolutely perfect. Faultless. Nice cup of coffee too. All at a very fair price. But please ... we go to pubs to talk with people. It's understandable that the screens are an important part of your and other peoples daily lives but they are so invasive, even the outdoor ones. On a final positive note, for any potential future customers, head to the lovely cosy front room. You'll get a warm welcome and a decent drink.

Lovely looking dog friendly pub. Very busy. Good weekday deal Husband hathe wrap which he enjoyed. I had the curry. Arrived piping hot and looked delicious. But no spring onion, coriander or chillies that were advertised. It was an edamame bean curry. Nobody checked to see if we enjoyed our meals. The toilets really could do with a good clean.

It's a lovely old pub with lots of chararcter. Good selection of food and allows dogs.

The pub was busy when we arrived but we found a seat. The service was ok. The food left a lot to be desired. We only had light meals but everything was overcooked. I had the fishfinger and chiabata sandwich the batter was overcooked and my wife had the southern fried chicken burger, again overcooked.

I went for lunch with my friend. I had the Tandoori pizza. It was truly scrumptious. I've never tried it before but I will certainly be having it again. The base was crispy, just how I like it, because nobody likes a soggy bottom☹️. The size was more than adequate. 👍👍

Great place to meet friends day or night. We came here for drinks before moving on to our chosen restaurant. Good selection of drinks, with plenty of places to sit, both inside or outside. Central to the town, it is ideal for anyone.

The food was ok but I was bowled over by it. Asked for a pint if beer and a pint if ornage juice and lemonade and was given orange squash which actually I really enjoyed however it wasn't what I ordered.. the atmosphere was good though and the staff appeared friendly.

Disappointed with the food as it was all luke warm. The ham looked like it came out of a packet, the chips were cold, peas seemed undercooked and the halloumi fries were burned. Really disappointed and will not be going back. I’d recommend people go elsewhere.

Lovely pub in the market place. Dog friendly great selection of beers and the food is good quality have tried nearly all of it so far and is always nice. Visit a couple of times a week as its so good.

Great value for money. Where else can you get 2 meals of 7oz gammon, egg, chips peas and pineapple for £10.95 total, NOT each. Served Monday to Friday noon until 9pm. Always busy, lots of atmosphere. Right in centre of Town. Will definitely return soon. Thank you. If pic gets uploaded my hubby has added crispy prawns on the skewer for £3 extra.

Pub itself is beautiful, ordered our food and drinks OK, food arrived i ordered steak and Guinness pie , nice portions ,mash was hard on top as though it had Been under a heat lamp for a while , pie was lovely very tasty and full of meat , The amount of gravy was not a lot , so I got up and asked if I could have some more was told I had to pay for it and go to the bar to do so., seriously I couldn't believe this , first time this has ever happened (absolute joke ) it's gravy , all other establishments I've ever been to Happy to give you more at no cost , hence my meal was dry , so please either give more gravy to start with or extra for free please , this is why reluctantly I've given this score ,photo shows how much I got , you can see the line not even half full ,

Place itself was warm and welcoming. However during breakfast the rowdiness and drunkenness got too much to handle, so quickly finished breakfast and left. Apparently it was ladies Day and all the people who were dressed up for the occasion were a little worst for wear and at full volume.

Food not great avoid fish and chips as it isn't very good.

Still highly rate this place, bloke behind the bar serving was very friendly and good chat.
