The Granary in East Riding of Yorkshire

After booking a table we walked from the seaside camp site in red hot weather and two little dogs with us to be totally ignored by 2 young girls I had to ask several times were they would like me to sit and there response was anywhere There wasn’t much shade but I did find a table out the back (not the best) I then had to go ask for a menu and tell them we’re we were sat Minutes later we did get the restaurant menu that looked very nice but wanted something lighter so again went to ask for cafe menu Waited because it does say table service Then told order at counter. Again was totally ignored no one seemed to want our business When I did eventually order they didn’t have anything left what we wanted so we walked away very very unhappy with the experience and definitely disappointed ( one last thing I hope the lady I think the manager managed to sell one of her pieces of art because she seemed to be more interested in that than serving people )

Once a cosy place to stop , just tatty outside now , service slow , there was not a large choice in cakes

We visited on our way home after my little boy said he would like an ice cream. We all had different flavours my son loved the strawberry and I had the chocolate fudge brownie it was lovely, my husband had a raspberry ripple he enjoyed his. Plus we got to sit and enjoy our ice creams on a bench looking at 2 beautiful horses. We were lucky as the owners were there and showed us all the animals they had and my son got to meet their very friendly pig. What a lovely place owned by lovely people and fabulous ice cream. We will be back.

We have been twice this week with my granddaughters. Once for lunch with my son and the next time with my daughter for breakfast. The trail was brilliant and the food was delicious

Was staying in a local cottage and visited The Granary for an evening meal. The Granary is a lovely place with very friendly staff. The restaurant has parking just outside and has horses and rams in the surrounding fields. The tables are well spaced out so felt very safe and secure in this COVID World. The menu has a lot of choices. If you are in the local area this gem is worth a visit.

My husband and I visited the Granary after researching best places to eat near Bridlington. On arrival signs said wait to be seated and find a table giving mixed messages, we waited to be seated and the waitress just directed us to a table with no information of procedures. Again mixed instructions stated wait to be served at the table and order at the counter,at the same time, still no guidance from staff. After sitting for about 10 minutes I approached the counter where the staff member was friendly and told that someone would come to take our order. The waitress returned, my husband enquired about the breakfast on a very limited menu to be told that it was no longer available ( leaving literally sandwiches and cakes), we were under the impression that we would be able to order lunch, I enquired about afternoon tea and was told we would have to Pre book, which I do accept. We asked for coffee with cream until we decided what to order and was told she would have to ask if we could have cream. The waitress returned to the counter failed to place our order and served a group of people who were about to leave again leaving us waiting. We decided to cancel our order and left, very disappointed with the service and won’t be returning.

We called in for a light lunch. The cornish pasties were delicious. Really good coffee. Unfortunately they had run out of scones. Guess they were too popular. It made us choose from their wide selection of cakes and pastries. They look home made. Try the boozy brownie ... Amazing! We also had cherry shortbread and lemon shortbread. The service was superb. They have excellent staff. We have already booked to go back for Sunday lunch.

Staff are lovely . Tables well spaced out so felt very safe. We only had coffee and cakes but was delicious. Very busy so I feel you would definitely need to book. Next time we will book and have a meal.

Very attentive staff, well spaced tables and felt very safe during our visit. Simple menu which was fantastic for all three courses and very well priced. Small resultant where you are able to see into the kitchen, excellent wine and great location. Will definitely be back next time we are on the East coast.

We had an excellent meal here. The food was superb (cod and beef). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning

Arrive for a lunchtime sandwich, there appeared to be plenty of space with several empty outside tables. Looked at the menu, enquired about ordering only to be told in a perfuctorary manner that they had had lots orders and couldn't take more for food, not even "it may take time" Very disappointing

Very friendly attentive staff,lovely building with loads of outdoor seating,went for a 3 course evening meal ,food was superb,the beef was melt in your mouth tenderness,highly recommended and will definitely return.

Friendly and helpful staff, great environment, especially for families with kids, and the sandwiches were delicious, a little bit more expensive than an ordinary cafe, but ordinary it isn't. A lot of effort has gone into the setting, the service and the food, we'd love to go back.

We’ve visited this cafe/restaurant a few times since it opened. Staff are always friendly. Food is good if a little expensive for a large family.

Popped in on the off chance for food today and was very pleasantly surprised by the food, service and location. The restaurant is a lovingly converted barn with a warm and pleasant atmosphere. You can see the care and attention to detail the owners have put into making it a lovely place to eat. The staff were very friendly and efficient and food and drinks were quick to come out. Everything we ate and drank was excellent quality and very very tasty! We really couldn't fault anything at all and as a bonus we were entertained by the owners very friendly dog; such a sweetie! So overall an excellent venue, great service, a great chef preparing lovely food and a talented baker making very tasty cakes. Keep up the good work!

We had prebooked mid morning for our cycle ride cafe stop. We arrived late after a puncture on route. Thankfully the chef kindly offered to keep serving those breakfasts. A range of excellent meals (bacon butty, full breakfasts, beans on toast, poached eggs... crushed black...

We stumbled across this beautiful venue; food is delicious and service first class. Next time we will try to book overnight stay in the accommodation, prices are very reasonable in a fantastic setting.

The beautiful barn conversion offers excellent food and offers lots of choice from breakfasts; afternoon teas and evening meals. Also part of it is dog friendly, and there are rare sheep and a goat to see.
