Excellent fish and chips it’s just a shame it takes so long for them to take your order when eating in the restaurant. The fish is cooked to order and is excellent,

Our group of friends who have known each other since 1963 visit regularly after playing boules on Barmston Beach on a Friday. The food and service are first class. The fryer Gareth and our usual waitress Julie always have a smile on their faces. THE best fish and chips in our area for sure.

Fabulous chippy, great portion sizes, white flaky fish and yummy chips. Keep doing what you do guys. Love coming here. Bit out of the way but the best in the area. Well priced and the sides are great too.

Very welcoming place to visit, was served by a lovely lady by the name of Julie, pleasant and attentive. Food was great and will definitely call again.

We have been regular visitors to this normally very good fish & chip venue. Today however was the exception, ending in a very disappointing experience. The fish was very poorly cooked and certainly nothing like I asked for (well done), the chips were equally poor, only warm when presented and lacking any taste. The fish was a good size, but the finished quality was very disappointing - wet & stodgy and the fish was not the best color and broke up far too easily. Which meant the fryer/server were either new and had a lack of knowledge in respect to fish frying, or the ingredients used were new or have been changed.

Called at the deep blue chippy at brandesburton . What a great experience from going in to leaving , Two ladies served me and welcomed me with politeness as if they new me , ordered my food and was all cooked fresh and efficiently. Took them home and they where hot as nd do tasty. Fish was so thick and tasty , Great value for taste , amount of food and more important the service from the staff . Definitely coming back again .

We collected 6 fish and chips from here last night. I have to say they were amazing! Fish was fantastic (the batter was cooked perfect) and proper chippy chips. We'll definitely be back when we come back for a break.

Picked up a take away meal got home to open a box with a sage and onion Pattie in. Not nice a burnt hard shell which was supposed to be batter(rock hard). What I can’t understand how a cook can allow it to be served and a server giving it to a customer.

Perfect fish & chips with huge portions! We got them as a takeaway lunch, and they were delicious! Light, crispy batter and moist Haddock with perfectly cooked fluffy chips. The staff were lovely - friendly and helpful. Premises were very clean. Would highly recommend.

Loved this chippy. Everyone should try their homemade fishcakes so nice. The staff was nice and friendly. Service was fast.

Great Chip Shop. Ordered via the app and selected time to collect went a bit early and it was ready for collection. Shop is spotless and girls very friendly. Fish and Chips were lovely and good size portions very nicely cooked and piping hot. Well worth a visit if your in the area!

Had a lovely take away, but staff were a little standoffish. This was the second place in Brandesburton where we felt unwanted.

Six of us ended up at Deep Blue one evening after being let down at the place we had booked for our celebration meal. The staff at Deep Blue were brilliant and made us really welcome even though the restaurant was soon due to close for the evening. The fish and chips were lovely, cooked to perfection and were good sized portions. Despite our evening not being as planned, Deep Blue really saved it for us. The staff looked after us so well and couldn't do enough for us. Many thanks to them all. We all had a great time and will definitely be back, next time will be planned.

Ordered large haddock and chips from deep blue brandsburton it must be the worst fish and chips I’ve ever eaten we have been using this chip shop for years when it was harpers it was always lovely we’ve had take away and eaten in the restaurant never been disappointed until to night it’s all gone in the bin fish was obviously frozen and no way was it haddock! So expensive I am so disappointed.

Just had the smallest portion of chips with my fish. Value for money overall rubbish. £8.17 disgusting, it covered half box. The photo is the few chips served with the chips when I lifted the fish to one side, it looks like half eaten there are that few. I used to live in Brid and for £5.50 it takes you all time to eat it.

Worst value for money fish I’ve had in a long time, £6 large fish is only comparable to a fish finger, the peas was more like a pea soup, just watery never had peas like that in my life, unless your desperately hungry and feel like wasting money stay clear, no way was it worth it.

Bought large fish and chips last night, it took half hour from ordering to receiving. Staff seem to be under trained. Large fish was super thin to the point the batter had almost absrobed the fish the leave a rubber batter fritter. It appears the chips are fried in water as they are as pale and soggy. The curry sauce is is very nice from here

Very disappointed with the chips... the shop is obviously under pressure to serve people as quickly possible but this shouldn’t come at the cost of quality - the chips where soggy and pale/undercooked. Adding insult to injury we ordered online, waited the requested 20 minutes before collection then drove 4 miles allowing 30 minutes and the order still wasn’t ready.

Been here multiple times over the past year and every single time I am greeted by the same staff member "India" very abrupt when taking my order and every single time I get home and food is missing. Very small portions and always forgets stuff. I travel from bridlington as it used to be good but has gone downhill over the past year or so.

Worst chippy around here, they get the order wrong every time I go in, complained 3 times now and staff get funny with you, gave them one last chance tonight and received half a bag of chips and yet another minute sized fish ..never again !

Best ever x4 Fish n Chips with of course, scraps (and curry sauce). Looked a very clean shop as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be using again when staying over there or passing. 10/10.

We've just had some delicious fish and chips for our Sunday lunch . We went for the pensioners special in the restaurant , a good sized fish , chips ,peas ,tea ,bread and butter all served by friendly welcoming staff .Give this fish shop a try you won't be disappointed .

Since being taken over I’m afraid this chippy has gone downhill. Smaller portions but prices remain the same. Also chips aren’t cooked for long enough and are quite hard. This is our local chippy so we’ve given this place a few chances since being taken over but I’m afraid we’ll try somewhere a little further away in future.

Stayed a weekend at local camp site and used this chip shop a couple of times for meals (take away) one of the best fish I've eaten, chips where very very nice also curry sauce /mushy peas excellent. Staff very friendly enthusiastic and take pride in providing a great customer service. Got to be contender for chippy of the year in my opinion.

Called here on a Friday evening when realised the local Chinese was closed for holidays and never realised that they had a restaurant so decided to sit in. This was a nice find, the restaurant felt homely, clean and the staff 'India' was very friendly and welcoming. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty and we would certainly recommend.

My husband and brother called in here on their way back from Hull they had fish and chips ate them in the car . They both said it was the best fish they have had in a long time my husband went back in to tell the fryer and also brought me a large fish home . I must agree it was lovely crisp light batter and the fish flakey and white and it had travelled back to Hornsea. We used to be in the business so we know good fish we recommend this chippy and we will definitely go again.

On our way home from walking in the wolds we have often enjoyed popping for fish and chips at the Deep Blue Fish and Chips shop at Wetwang as they are always excellent and tasty. We have often said afterwards how nice it would be if they were closer to were we lived as they are our favourite Fish and Chips and so much better than our local ones. We found out via a friend and to our surprise that there are now 2 close by, one in Hornsea and one in Brandsburton. So we travelled and went to our closest one which happens to be Brandsburton . We had Fish and Chips twice which were just as good and tasty as the ones we have had at Wetwang. The chips are none greasy and the batter on the fish is crispy and light and fresh tasting. The quantity is very good too which means you do not feel ripped on on value and the quality is outstanding. We also ordered their home made fish patty which was to die for with lots of fish included in the mash and very light and crispy not like some I have had in the past from other places which are heavy and just potatoes even though it was supposed to be a fish patty and chips. So highly recommend. The quality is just as excellent as the one in Wetwang so I would have no hesitation in going to a Deep Blue Fish and Chip anywhere knowing that the quality will be excellent in all. The other lovely thing I have noticed and are a credit to the company is that the staff are so incredibly friendly and efficient regardless of how busy they are. So would I recommend, absolutely and enjoy.

Large fish and chips for one and a chip butty were ordered, all was excellent! Only one let down, was not having them served in a box unless you requested it. So other than the Polystyrene a vast improvement on our last visit.

Tried this fish shop as stayed at Dacre Lodge Park (takeaway). Lovely fish and chips, great portion sizes but I do agree with some, it is a little pricey.

Haven't been here for quite awhile due to food not being very good. This time the food we had was absolutely great,the fish and the batter were excellent ,very nice chunky chips .

On holiday and decided to have fish and chips on arrival. They were so good we returned for a second visit the day before our departure. Highly recommend a visit to anyone in the locality. Maybe a little pricey however you get what you pay for!

Went here this evening and it was lovely, the fish was so succulent and moist and the batter was just perfect. Chips were very nice too. Very decent portion size too. Would highly recommend and definitely worth another visit.

Although the young man serving was polite the cost of the chips means I won't be setting foot in there again. As a local (who they will rely on after summer passes) I do not expect to pay £1.90 for a SMALL bag of "mediocre" chips as my husband described them. The sheer greed of places like this gets my back up every time, once bitten twice shy comes to mind.

Since being taken over by Deep Blue firstly the prices went up. Later the portion sizes went down or the fish was hungry and eat most of the chips.

We went last Saturday evening and had the Senior Citizen special. Wow! The fish was huge and beautifully cooked. The chips were the best we’ve tasted in a long while. The deal was very good as you got bread and butter ( yes, butter not spread) and tea or coffee. The restaurant is decorated very tastefully and is immaculate.

Went with 10 friends used the resteraunt, food an d service outstanding .Main man Mark was working his butt off and we got our food really prompt which was obviously fresh out of the fryer. Really worth a visit

I travel to Driffiled twice a month from Manchester and always call in here. I have never once been this way and not had it.

Very welcoming place, newly refurbished restaurant looks amazing. We was waitered on by Carol who couldn’t do enough for us. Mark the frier cooked the the food to perfection. Definitely recommend his place. We will be going again soon.

Best fish and chips, best customer service, good value for money and consistency. This place is well worth a visit if you want the most excellent food, we actually take ourselves out of our way to buy our fish and chips here.

Insane prices, £5 for a portion of chips and a sausage. We went and ordered a FAMILY PORTION of chips and it’s was tiny like enough for 1 person, family to me means at least 3 people? It was not only tiny but soggy, tasteless and was just straight up bad.

Half the order missing a have me too tiny scraps of fish instead of the large one I paid for, one of them was almost completely batter!

We attended Harper's fish and chip shoo at bransburton with a couple of friends on May bank holiday What a disappointment The chips tasted like they had been there sometime And the fish was small for a large And watery with no taste.

We stopped in on the Easter Bank Holiday Saturday, usual chippy prices but it was a bit of a bundle getting served with no organised queueing area, being as they were so busy I expected hot chips but they were soggy and luke warm, sadly served in polystyrene not the nice cardboard boxes displayed in the window..

Well what a let down. I’ve used this chippy for over 20 years but I will not use again haven’t been in a while but went today and really disappointed fish looked like it crawled into the hideous polystyrene tray itself n died, the Sausages were not as requested two small badly battered n over cooked sausages do not add up to a jumbo and the chips were the worst I’ve had they were soggy and old tasting can’t believe how much it’s changed such a shame and portion sizes have altered dramatically too although that was a relief given the poor quality of the food, don’t waste your money

Visit this chip shop regularly and usually excellent food. Went tonight for large cod and chips. Very disappointed when I got home to find the a very small fish which had clearly been broken in half.

Loved the fish, chips were too chunky for my liking. Service was a little slow but the waitresses were very helpful and pleasant. We would go there again.

Food was lovely, light tasty batter on the cod, the staff were pleasant but they were talking about wishing they worked at other branches, we had quite a wait for our food and other customers also seemed unimpressed with the service.

I don’t often leave reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion. I have been going to this chip shop for many years as the food had always been cooked really well, and was looking forward to going this afternoon. Special mentions are needed for Carol, the waitress as she was absolutely wonderful with our 3 young children and is clearly passionate about delivering excellent customer service. Her employers are lucky to have her! We also spoke with Jess, the chef who was friendly, and I have to say the fish was cooked perfectly!! Nothing worse when fish is over cooked but this was to perfection. You will not be disappointed with this fantastic chippie! Wish it was closer to Hessle!

I ilve in the area and have been using this chippy for a long number of years and (until recently) was very happy with the service and quality of the food.

Went today on way back home to Hull, with my Family. What can I say, other than Brilliant in every way. The Bransburton Special was First class, all 4 of us had the Haddock, it was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection, as was the Chips..and plentiful in portion size. Massive thank you to Carol, who served us, she was Ace.

On my way back from Hull and passing other fish and chip shops I wanted to eat here because of the inside seating area as I'd been here before about 12 months ago. We walked into the restaurant area. NO HEATING on so I asked a member of staff to turn it on. We sat with our coats on until we felt warm enough and to be far we moved next to one of the radiators to feel the warmth. We placed our order which was taken efficiently and waited for our food to arrive. I was not impressed with the quality of food. To say we waited 10/15 mins from ordering (Not busy) the food arrived looking very overcooked. Chips warm not piping hot and the fish was very dry so dry it was hard around the edges and the thinner end was not edible. A very different experience to my last visit and will not recommend or visiting again.

I went to this fish and chip shop situated in the village where in live and was very disappointed. I ordered large fish chips mushy peas two sausage and chips and a bread cake.

Stayed nearby in a lovely cottage, Harper’s was recommended in the owners information pack. We were not disappointed, top tip- small fish &chips; was big enough fo any adult appetite.

Visited for takeaway Saturday (15/09/18) and we were blown away. Our fish was freshly cooked to perfection and and was extremely happy with it :-)

Recently visited the area, this chippy was recommended so tried it out, not disappointed. Had large haddock & chips (£7), scoffed the lot. Excellent batter on the fish, no un-cooked batter on the inside, fish perfectly done, enjoyed so much went back three days later for another one. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Good quality and varied menu. Not suitable for vegetarians as they cook in beef dripping. Very popular with the locals which tells you everything. All in all a good chip shop.

Called in on the way back from the coast, large cod chips and mushy peas, there wasn’t a medium cod option however we shared and did eat it all. The fish was certainly large, not the cheapest but the standard was good with fish cooked to order and everything cooked in dripping which gave it a good taste which we did enjoy. Bonus that they also accepted cards as payment.

We have been regulars at this takeaway for the last 11 years... we haven’t been for a few months due to holidays and busy schedules of life.. well we decided to have a fish and chips treat at the weekend. Wish we hadn’t bothered, the fish was dry and the batter was not the usual light fluffy crisp finish it was previously. The chips where under cooked and the sausage ordered was pink on the inside. Would I recommend... not at the moment... will I return... yes once improvements are made in the quality issues pointed out above. So I’m on a hunt for another quality fish and chip outlet until further notice.

Called in quickly to get a small sausage and a small bag of gravy & chips for my 2yo daughter. It was £4.10!!! And I was waiting 20 minutes for it. I heard that harpers had changed hands, but I definitely won't be returning.

We ve been to a few fish and chip shops on holiday, this has to be the best one in the area. Really good size portions and a brilliant price you just can't go wrong, really friendly staff and we didn't even have to wait long even tho it was busy. Will definitely be recommending to everyone.
